When Jack walked past Pulitzer's office on his way to the gardens Pulitzer snatched him by the collar.

Pulitzer slammed the young man against the wall of his office kicking the door shut and locking it.

"Sit down" he yelled when he let go of Jack's collar.

He sat down in the chair and Joseph walked in front of him "you're going to shut up and listen good before I punch you so hard that you'll be dead"

Jack gulped and the king took a deep breath and began.

"You're what the kids call a fuck boy" he said in which jack didn't know to laugh or be offended.

"You are also an annoying play boy who doesn't see he's hurting anybody" he told him "you are hurting your country, my country, my family, yours , your mother and most importantly you're hurting my daughter who's done nothing but try to make this work" he told jack.

Jack opened his mouth to speak but was silenced by Pulitzer "you will be the future king and you need to set an example for your people! They can't see you Party and sleep around ! What does that tell young children ?" He asked .

Jack sunk lower in his seat and continued to keep his mouth shut.

"You disrespecting your future wife, my daughter and sole heir to my throne, makes it okay for every man to disrespect any woman! And that is something I will not stand for !" Pulitzer yelled growing red in the face.

"I expect you to apologize to my daughter, apologize to your mother and shape up" he said "no I demand you to apologize to my daughter and your mother!"

"Sir-"

"No more parties, no more chewing gum and going on your phone, no more disrespecting my daughter you will be a good gentlemen like suitor and woo her and show her how intelligent and kind you can be. Or so help me Jackson Marcus Kelly I will go to parliament and make it that my crown solely goes to my daughter, do I make myself clear,"

"Yes sir" Jack said his voicing cracking horribly.

"Will this happen again?" Joseph asked stepping in front of the young man looking down at him.

"No sir" jack responded.

"Don't see that it does, now get out" he yelled and jack quickly ran out of the office.

Jack was still shook from his meeting with Pulitzer but he realized he had been a jerk lately.

He saw Clara walking to the library and ran after her.

"May I help you?" She asked coldly.

"I... I wanna apologize to Katherine I just don't know how" he said.

"Figure it out on your own" she snapped and he sighed.

"Please Clara!" He begged.

"No Jack I will not help you, you hurt my best friend and cousin, completely disrespected my uncle and embarrassed the Pulitzer family name" she spat.

"And I realize that now and I wanna make things right and the first step is with Katherine" he told her.

"You're full of it" she said.

"Yes I am" he said "and I feel like shit especially since your uncle treated me like a 12 year old and the only reason for him to treat me that way is if I act that way" he told her "and I wanna apologize to her and show her that I can be a good husband and coruler"

Clara raised a brow, her face not showing an emotion other than the reddish brown eyebrow.

"What were you thinking?" She asked her arms now crossing over her chest.

"I wanna get her something that she always wanted. I know she likes reading but there's a whole library full of books and I can't pull a whole beauty and the beast-"

"I have an idea" she said she ran and grabbed a book that was in library "Katherine and I used to read this all the time, it's about dogs, all the dog's Katherine ever liked... her mother used to have dogs and Katherine used to play with them. She's wanted one since she was little, but her father never got around to it" Clara said.

"So I should get her a dog-"

"Do what you think is right" she said and walked off.
