💝Chapter 7💝
A/N: Tried finishing writing this before I went to school but didn't have a lot of time- just enjoy it folks-
Everyone had began to grow a bit worried. They knew bergen town was a bit far from home, but it was still reasonable to worry since obviously, it was bergen town, and there are bergens.
"Should someone probably go out and check?" Biggie asked, squeezing Mr. Dinkles close to his chest.
"I don't know, it is pretty risky." Guy Diamond looked up at him then back down, fumbling with his fingers.
"But we've been in here for a really long time!" Satin added, holding her head.
"Mmh. Let's talk with Peppy and see what he thinks." DJ looked at her friends and they looked back at her, beginning to nod slowly in agreement.
The female turned and saw some of the worried faces of trolls and also a bit desperate.
"Alright guys, my friends and I are gonna have a discussion with the King about this, so don't worry too much okay?"
Everyone had heard her and either murmured to one another, or nodded.
"Okay, come on guys." Suki had started to walk around looking for Peppy, the rest of the Snack Pack following.
"Uh, where is he?" Cooper asked, turning his head every second.
"Yeah, we should've found him by now, this bunker's big but not that big." Chenille responded.
"I don't know, but it's a bit suspicious.. keep looking." DJ searched around for the Orange troll, calling his name every so often.
The rest of the trolls from troll village could hear them calling his name and noticed them walking around to find him, which made them worry once more. Where was their king?
"King Pe- Ow. Oh, sorry Creek." DJ had accidently bumped into the purple troll.
"Oh that's quite alright dear Suki." He collided his hands together and bowed slowly.
DJ chuckled a bit at his manner and looked around again.
"Uh, Creek, have you seen Peppy anywhere? For whatever reason we can't find him, and he wouldn't have just left without say.." The female rubbed the back of her neck.
Creek, completely oblivious, though it was not noticeable, replied, "Unfortunately I have not, I apologize friend." He put a light hand on her shoulder and pat it.
DJ sighed quietly.
"That's alright, I'm just really worried. Where in the world is he?"
"I'm sure you'll find him soon." Creek turned to look back at the closet that he had cruelly pushed the poor King into, then back at her.
Cooper, walking from behind him, right after he just turned his head, had started to search places like cabinets and shelves, being the slow witted one he is.
But finally, he had reached the closet and tried opening it, but it was locked, and he swore he could hear something inside.
"Guys, I think there's something in here!" He kept going at attempts to try and open the door.
Creek heard this and immediately turned around.
"Uhh, friend Cooper, I don't think that's necessary-"
"Come on guys!" DJ ran over to where Cooper was and helped him try and open the door.
The rest of the Snack Pack followed and attempted to try and open as well, all groaning and grunting.
Once they got it open, they all yelled and fell back and tumbled onto each other.
"Ugh.." Guy sat up and rubbed his forehead, looking up, not wanting to believe what he saw next. "G-G-Guys?!" He pointed a shaky finger.
"What is it?" Suki looked as well and her eyes widened. "No.. no no no.."
What lied in front of them was their poor bleeding King, lying almost dead in the closet.
Trolls walked over and saw the horrifying scene and screamed and murmured fearfully.
"How did this happen?!" Biggie exclaimed in deep fear.
"I-I don't know!" Chenille whimpered and clinged to her sister, her clinging back.
"Unless.. it was someone in here.." DJ carefully stroked the hair of their King.
"But who would dare kill the King?!" Smidge cracked her knuckles, balling them.
"Yeah.. who..? And for what reason?" Guy added.
Creek began to back away into the crowd of trolls slowly, blending in with them, a few noticed, but not everyone.
"I guess we're just gonna have to find that out for ourselves.." DJ stood up and turned around and looked at everyone.
"Alright everyone, we're gonna have a little interview."

Branch and Poppy had continued to walk on the trail that Poppy supposedly told was the one they left off on, but something just seemed a little off about it.
"Poppy are you really sure this was the right trai-"
"Definitely! I feel like we're close to home already!" The Pink Troll gave him his warmest smile.
"But something feels weird about it.." The Gray troll stopped for a second and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Oh come on Branchhhh-" She popped up from behind him and poked his sides.
"Don't," he moved her hands, holding them into his, "do that, ever."
She stuck her tongue out at him.
"But we can't stop now, the bergen might be getting close!"
"Oh you now just realize?" The Gray troll crossed his arms.
"Oh hush." She lightly shoved him from the shoulder, a light smirk planted on his face.
"Let's just keep going." The Gray troll added, beginning to walk again.

"Poppy?"
"Yes?"
"It's been almost two hours."
"And?"
"We're still not close yet."
"... And?"
"You said you felt like we were close to home already. I don't recognize this place at all!" Branch threw his arms in the air and exclaimed.
Poppy looked around realizing he was right, she didn't recognize where they were either. She began to feel a tight knot in her stomach ball up.
"Uhm, well.."
Before she could say anything else, a multitude of growls and hisses could be heard.
The two turned their head to see five grossums (TTBGO reference- :D) headed their way, coming from what looked like a shade of trees.
Poppy's eyes widened and she backed away slowly.
Branch didn't move an inch and just squinted at them.
"Stand back." He said in a serious tone and reached for something in his bag, the Pink Troll watching his every move.
He removed an archery bow and arrow from his bag and aimed it near but not at the grossums. He thought if they saw any threat near them they would run off, because they don't have the best vision.
He shot at least three or four bows at them, and they quickly yelped and ran off.
"Wow.. that was amazing! Where did you learn that? How did you know that they'd-"
Before she could finish, she watched Branch turn towards her with his arms crossed and an unamused look on his face.
"We're on a completely different trail. You told me that this was the right one but now we're lost! And possibly close to dangerous animals!"
Poppy opened her mouth to speak but then quickly closed it and sighed and looked down.
Branch groaned to himself and turned away from her.
"That bergen could be getting any closer now all because of you. How much dumber can you get?" He muttered the last part.
Poppy quickly whipped her head up to look at the back of his head.
"What did you just say..?"
He turned back around with now an angry expression.
"You heard me! You can't do anything right! All you do is just go with the flow! Well guess what? It doesn't work like that. And if you weren't so careless with all those stupid little parties you throw, maybe that bergen that took you in the first place wouldn't have came! How are you almost about to be a Queen if you can't even take good care of your own village? Ridiculous!"
Poppy began to feel a bit angry as well.
"Well how was I supposed to know that Bergen was coming?! It wasn't my fault! And my Village appreciates everything I do for them, I have never ever heard one single complaint from anyone besides you! In fact, you don't like anything I do! Even when I try to cheer you up or just talk to you, all you do is scold me!" She argued back.
"Yeah, maybe they appreciate but it doesn't mean it's right! You're careless with everything, Poppy. It was probably the reason you were taken! And I told you, everytime you came to me were times that I didn't want to be bothered! In fact I almost always didn't want to be bothered! Your nagging just wanted to make my brain explode out of my head! And it wasn't only that, you never understood me, no one did. And since I was the only gray troll ever existing I seperated myself from everyone, I preferred being alone anyway, I have been for years! But of course you just had to keep coming back and forth! It drove me insane!" Every sentence he spoke, his voice became progressively louder.
"Just because you had a tragic past doesn't mean you need to take it out on others Branch! I had one as well, I lost my mother! But I didn't take it out on others did I?!
"That's because we're different from each other Poppy, way different. There is absolutely NEVER a day where you're not optimistic about every single thing. I've gotten over what happened to me, but that doesn't mean I've forgotten it. And you're just making it worse by throwing your idiotic parties! You don't care what the consequences are! Because you're too brain-dead to understand anything! I cannot believe you're gonna be Queen one day, you already failed as a princess!"
Poppy ran out of words and stopped speaking, but mostly because she was hurt by his words.
"You never appreciate a thing I do.. You're always just gonna be that stupid stupid stupid grump and that stupid stupid loner who doesn't have any friends and probably never will.." She didn't know what she was saying at this point as she kicked at the ground. She could also feel herself tearing up.
Branch's eyes widened and he immediately turned away again, staring at the ground.
"Why couldn't it have been Creek.." She muttered to herself, but Branch heard her clearly.
He was starting to tear up himself, but he held them back.
"I'm going." Was all he said, as he just began to walk away from her.
Poppy looked up, tears finally spilling from her eyes.
"You're... You're just gonna leave me here..?"
Branch didn't say anything and just continued to walk away from her.
Poppy sniffled and balled her fists.
"Fine! Go! I-I don't need you! I'm perfectly capable of finding the trail without you!" Poppy huffed and turned back around and walked away as well.
Branch just sighed to himself and continued to walk alone.
Yeah, why couldn't it have been that moron, why couldn't he just man up.. I clearly wasn't the one to save her, she obviously loves him.. this was all a huge mistake..
He stopped next to a tree near the water and threw a rock in it.
I don't deserve her..
A/N: Okay okay don't kiLL mE, I promise you this was vERY hard to write and very saddening and I almost didn't want to do it- but it'll be okay, you'll see- it's just all part of the story-
