~Virgil's PoV~

Patton and Logan went ahead with the knights, leaving me alone. I stuck to the shadows, preferring a stealthy 'sneak-in-and-get-Roman-before-Deceit-realizes-what's-happened' attack.

I snuck into the castle and into the top tower, I looked around, on edge. Nothing. 

Roman was sitting on the ledge, Deceit nowhere in sight. 

"...Roman?" I asked hesitantly. Roman looked at me and smiled, but... something didn't seem right.

"Virgil! About time!" he grinned. My eyes narrowed, Roman was acting strange, very strange.

"You're not Roman," I growled. Roman sighed, his eyes turning to yellow slits, how familiar.

"It appears so..." he murmured. Instantly Roman was replaced by Deceit. I tackled him, knocking him to the ground.

"Where is Roman?" I hissed. Deceit looked up at me, silent. "Where is Roman?" I asked again.

"He's hurt if you weren't wondering" Deceit replied nonchalantly. 

"What do you want?" I finally managed to get out.

"Please don't let me join you" Deceit pleaded, I looked at him in shock, "I want to stay in the shadows with Depression! Please don't let me come with you," Deceit said, tears in his eyes. I bit my lip.

"Give me Roman and we can talk it over with the others, okay?" I eventually decided. Deceit smiled with relief and nodded, snapping his fingers and making Roman appear, he looked at me.

"Is it you, Virgil?" he asked. I smiled.

"Sure is, Sir-sing-a-lot" I nodded, Roman grinned and hugged me. I hugged him back tightly and kissed his cheek. Then I looked at Deceit.

"Roman, let's bring Deceit to the others, I wanna talk to them about something." I murmured. Roman nodded hesitantly and we both took ahold of Deceit, gliding down to where Logan and Patton were waiting softly.

Logan and Patton narrowed their eyes at Deceit, "Guys, I think we should let Deceit come with us," Roman and I say at the same time, I looked at him confused. Roman gave me a look that said he would explain later.

"What?!" Logan yelped, very confused, "That is very counter-productive-"

"Logan, let them explain," Patton cut him off softly.

"Guys, I know Depression first hand, no one is safe with him, let's go back," I said.

After a bit of explaining, Logan and Patton finally agreed, and we took Deceit home to be one of us.

~Time Skip a Few Years~

It has been a few years since then. Roman and I were still going strong, everything was good. Deceit was one of us now. He didn't really appear in a lot of videos, but he was pretty helpful. Deceit and I grew close, and we were now basically brothers. He isn't so bad once you get to know him, lies can be comfortable, although the truth can be very hard (A/N: Hard?  Bad. Bad? Has been rough. Kinky~!)

Oh! and Logan and Patton were also going strong!

Everything was going great!

"Virgil!" Roman called me in a sing-song voice. 

I grinned and ran over to him, leaping into his arms. He laughed and kissed my forehead.

"Roman, you are The Prince to my Anxiety,"

This is the first book I have ever completed! Oh my gosh!

Sorry this took so long! But between the end of the year, summer camp, and vacations it's been hard to find time to write.
