*Sonic's POV *
I was looking straight into Shadow's eyes as he growled at me. My heart skipped a beat from how close we were but I was, for once, not afraid he'd hurt me. "Alright. Alright. I'm sorry." I said while nervously laughing.

Something about this felt strange but we both clearly decided to ignore it as he let go of me and I went back to cooking. Shadow went to set the table and we sat down to eat. Completely ignoring what had just happened, we went on about our days. Shadow went to work and I stayed home since I had nothing planned.

I couldn't stop thinking about what happened in the morning, and later that night I realized that Shadow hadn't been able to stop thinking about it either since he showed up at my house.

"Shadow? I thought you weren't coming until the morning." I said as I let him walk in.

"I wanted to apologize about this morning." He sincerely said as he sat down on the couch. "I didn't mean to-"

"I won't tell my uncle if that's what you're worried about." I said as I sat down on the other end of the couch but turned to face him. "I promise, I was the one testing your limits, I shouldn't have done that." Shadow nodded and was about to stand up to leave. "Hey, now that you're here, why don't you stay and we watch a movie and order a pizza?"

"What for?" Shadow looked confused.

"That's what friends do." I answered and he stayed quiet then sighed and sat back down making me smile. "So you're admitting that-" He raised his hand to stop me.

"Say anything to anyone and I will kill you." He said as he grabbed a cushion and put it in his arms so he could hold.

I stood up to make popcorn, ordered a pizza and turned off the lights. Just as the pizza arrived, it started to thunder outside. "Thriller or horror?" I asked but ultimately we chose for a thriller movie.

As the movie went on and I was not understanding why the main character was doing what he was doing, I was starting to get frustrated about it and shouting at the TV making Shadow laugh. My ears perked up at that and I smiled but didn't bring it up since I didn't want Shadow to stop.

"Whats going on?" I said at one point very confused then shouted at a jumpscare. "I thought this wasn't horror!" I laughed and caught Shadow looking at me but I shrugged it off.

I didn't even notice when the movie ended and we fell asleep.

*Shadow's POV *
I woke up when the sun hit my eyes and slowly opened my eyes to realize Faker was on top of me. I tensed up at realizing the position we were in but I also didn't want to move. His face was laying on my chest fur and his arms were around me, holding me.

This simply confirmed what I thought the day before but I didn't know what to do. This would complicate many things and I wasn't even sure if it was the same for him.

"Faker." I said as I tried to move his arms. "Hey wake up." I wasn't talking so loud since I didn't want to scare him.

I would had never believed it if I was told I would one day be in this situation. Specially with Sonic.

"Hmmm?" He started to wake up with a low groan then let go of me and jumped back as he realized the position he was in. "I-Im sorry...! I didn't..." He apologized immediately as his muzzle turned a light pink color.

I cleared my throat and fixed my fur. "It's fine." I said as I avoided eye contact. "It's fine." I stood up then looked at my phone. Rouge had been calling me all morning. "I should go." I walked to the door but he suddenly spoke.

"Wait...!" He said making me stop. He dashed to the kitchen then gave me a brown bag. "This was left over from yesterday what I cooked. Take it so you can eat something." I looked up at him surprised then took the bag. He scratched the back of his head nervously. "And if you want to come back to watch another movie tonight, you can." He was blushing a darker shade now.

I hesitated but slowly nodded. "I'll be here." I promised then left. My heart was beating out of my chest.

*Sonic's POV *

The day went on and I visited Tails just to make the time pass.

"I haven't seen you lately." Tails said, I was waiting, constantly looking at the time. "Hello?" He passed his hand over my face to catch my attention.

"Right. Sorry. I was just..." I took a deep breathe. "I think I like someone." I sighed and rubbed my face, i had not been able to stop thinking about him.

"What?" Tails looked at me shocked and smiled. "That's great! Who is he?" He dropped what he was doing to pay attention to me.

"I can't say yet. I don't even know if he likes me back. I think he does but I can't be sure." I dropped my ears then put my head down on the table. "I really hope he does." I groaned louder.

"Will you tell me soon?" Tails asked and I nodded.

"I should go. I was going to meet with him. We were going to watch a movie again tonight."

"Again?" Tails asked and I nodded in response then dashed off to my house where Shadow was already waiting outside my door.

"You could just walk in, you know?" I told him as I opened the door and we both went in.

"Right." He said lowly then raised his hands where he was holding Chinese food. I smiled at him and we both went to sit down on the couch. I let Shadow pick a movie and we started eating.

I realized halfway that we were sitting very close to each other this time. I took advantage of this and rested back, touching his arm and he tensed up. He looked down at me but didn't stop me.

*Shadow's POV *
I realized what he was doing but I couldn't bring myself to stop him. Part of me wanted him to get away but a bigger part wanted him to get closer. He rested his head on my shoulder and I went ahead and rested my arm on his shoulder.

We both stayed quiet as we continued watching as the main character was being chased by 3 others. I didn't feel uncomfortable and like punching him so I decided to go for it and pulled him closer to me. He started getting cold and grabbed a blanket and put it over us, he remained calmed and I couldn't help but feel happy realizing he was no longer afraid of me.

I wanted to stay here.
