*Sonic's POV *
"Hey Sha-" I froze as I noticed what Shadow was holding, he was covering his muzzle and looking away as he stood at my front door. "Shadow...?" I was blushing to the tip of my ears.

"Will you..." He stopped, clearly nervous about this, he was holding a bouquet of red roses. "Go out with me...?" He was still looking away as he moved the flowers closer to me.

A big smile broke in and I took the flowers as I gave Shadow his answer. "Yes. I will." I let him come into my house, I noticed some people were walking by so I closed the door quickly, unsure if Shadow wanted others to know.

"Rouge said you'd like these." He said acting a bit more calm now.

"So you told her?" He nodded. "Did you tell her about?"

"No. Just about this. I made up a lie about how much I've been seeing you."

"Thank you."

"Won't they hate this?"

"My family? They don't care who I date. And if my uncle trusted you enough to tell you to protect me, you'll be fine." He raised a brow.

"People saw me buy those flowers." He pointed out as I put them in a vase with water. "I figured I shouldn't hide it." He confessed. "But Rouge told me to let you know that I don't know what I'm doing and to have patience."

"I'm glad you talked to Rouge and don't worry, Shad. I know. I will try my best to not push you about anything. So you really don't mind everyone else knowing?"

"I didn't want to make you have another secret from your friends." My ears dropped at his response. He worried enough about me to do something he wasn't comfortable with just so I wouldn't lie to my friends. "I can see it's hard enough what you're hiding."

"Thank you. But you didn't have to." I hesitated but I hugged him. He tensed so I was about to let go when he suddenly hugged me back and rested his head on top of mine. "You're warm."

"You're cold." He answered back. "Have you eaten?"

"No but-"

"Sonic the Hedgehog! Open the door this instant!" Amy.

"Oh chaos. She's going to kill me." I mumbled as Shadow pulled away from the hug.

"Amy, leave them alone." Tails said from behind the door, trying to keep Amy calm.

"No! They have a lot of explaining to do! Sonic wasn't supposed to end up with him!" Her knocking turned into pounding and then...

"Put the hammer down!" Tails shouted and then my door broke. Shadow pushed me behind him, trying to protect me. "Amy wait!" They ran inside my house, Tails right behind Amy trying to stop her. "I'm sorry, she saw the news and she went crazy! I've been trying to stop her!"

That fast? I knew the news were going to be out fast but this fast? Chaos.

"Shadow, don't hurt her." I said to him as I tried to get closer but he kept stopping me. "Please." I pleaded which made him give in.

"Fine but I'm taking you out of here." He answered and grabbed my hand without a second to think about it then chaos controlled us to his house where as soon as I was aware of my surrounding, I spotted Rouge, smirking at us.

"I take it Sonic here said yes." She got closer then hugged me, making me let go of Shadow's hand. "Dont break his heart, Hun. Or ill break you." She suddenly changed her tone and threaten me. And I knew she was not joking.

"Rouge." Shadow rolled his eyes. "Will you take care of that pink brat before she destroys his house?" She agreed since she wanted to leave us alone.

"I'm sorry." I apologized to Shadow. "You do know this is how chaotic this relationship will be, right?" He nodded making me relax a bit.

"I'm fine with it. What I'm worrying about is Eggman and Metal." He walked to the kitchen and looked in his fridge then took out left overs.

"I hadn't thought about that." I confessed and went to help him heat up the food. "Do you think he will bother us a lot? We are stronger working together, we could stop him fast."

"He won't give up." Shadow hummed as he took out a bar of chocolate from his pantry and took a bite then offered me some. I giggled making him slightly blush and took a piece as well.

"I can't believe you like sweets." I ate the piece and he gave me a smile now making me blush. "I like your smile." I said and he looked away immediately. 

"Shut up." I laughed at his response.

"No! You can't answer me with that now!" I helped him by reaching for some cups but realized how close we were now as I reached. I stopped and stood up straight again but we couldn't stop looking at each other.

Our noses were almost touching, my ears dropped instantly as I looked into his crimson eyes who were staring right into mine. I couldn't help but notice how handsome he was and how he glanced down at my lips for just a second. I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon but we slowly leaned into one another.

"Can I...?" Shadow asked, all I could do was slowly nodded as I leaned even closer until finally our lips met.

Shadow cupped my face and I wrapped my arms around his neck, it was a soft and gentle kiss, I felt butterflies in my stomach and chills down my spine at Shadow's touch. A couple seconds pass and we weren't pulling away, instead, Shadow pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around my waist, deepening the kiss a bit more then slowly pulled away.

"I-I..." I stuttered then hid my face in his chest fur. Both of our faces were a completely different color and all ny words were completely gone.

The microwaves beeps snapped us out of it and made us continue setting up the table then sit down and eat quietly. Neither one of us being able to look at the other.
