The Prince
"Emily! Where are my shoes?"
"Emily, re-do my nail polish!"
"Emily, c- "
Everything was chaos. As a maid, it was even worse. All of this just to meet some two arrogant princes. Sure, I know and have heard they were handsome, but I seriously would not waste my time to fight for a worthless prince. Not yet at least.
Packing the most I could into all of the princess' bags, I slowly descended to the main floor, wiping the sweat off my forehead.
"Is everything well?" Mildred, the second eldest maid, asked me.
For some reason, no matter how bad I felt, that question never really had a different answer.
"Yes, it is." I said, rushing outside.
A slow smile crept onto my lips as the morning air welcomed me. I have always loved the outdoors. Especially the rain. There was nothing I loved more than the soft pitter patter of little drops of rain on the castle roof.
"Don't forget about your little family over here!" whispered Mildred, shyly waving her hand from the doorstep.
Born an orphan, I didn't know a single thing about my parents. I never experienced the loving smile and goodnight kisses that every kid got at night. All I got was a "goodbye." I never even had any memories of my parents. All I knew was that they were dead and I was left at a castle to work as a maid. Mildred and the other maids were my only family.
Sigh
Quickly running back, I squeezed Mildred into a hug and whispered in her ear.
I'll be back soon
Turning around, I took a deep breath and walked towards the limousine.
3 hours later.....
Aside from all the perfume and complaints, I actually enjoyed being in the window seat. The scenery was beyond amazing. It was probably the only thing I would look forward to on the one-year vacation.
"We're here!" squealed Nicole Blackwood, the most annoying out of the three.
Getting out of the cramped limousine (filled with suitcases) I stretched my arms and legs, again inhaling the magnificent fragrance of pinecones and maplewood.
Like always, my job was to help..... which meant to do everything. After unloading millions and millions of suitcases, I finally got to rest. Snap! Cameras flicked on and off, taking pictures of whatever they could find.
The princes must be here
I thought. Like I imagined, thousands of paparazzi had their cameras flashing towards the two boys. Casually, I walked in front of the crew, receiving a few glances from the princesses. Why? I don't know. Or at least I didn't until the prince with the brown eyes grabbed my wrist and turned me around.
"What's your name?" He asked.
I simply stood there, eyes wide as the gapes on the other princess' faces. He was strikingly handsome. He looked nothing at all like how he did in the picture. Messy brown hair, caramel eyes. Even the air seemed to be heavy and droopy. Then, I mentally slapped myself.
He is playing with me.
Quickly detaching my self from his grip, I retreated back towards the limousine.
"What's your name?" He repeated, more sternly this time.
"Emily. Emily Peterson." I replied, trying to sound aggressive yet polite at the same time.
There was just something about him that made me want to scratch my face off....in a good way.
This was definitely going to be a long day.
Hey guys! How did you like that? Was it interesting? Anyways, since I am writing this second book, I will publish this book every other day and the other I will try to do either every two or three days. Since it is very short, I will try to publish more often. Hope you enjoyed!
Thx 4 Reading!
