The Maid

Buzzzzzz. Buzzzzzzzz

"Ugh. TURN IT OFF!" I yelled, burying my face into my pillow.

If you already couldn't tell, I didn't want to wake up that day. Why? Well.... I just didn't want to wake up. Okay fine! I'll tell you. Just that day, I was supposed to choose a wife.  I know right! So.... bizarre! Anyways, that day, three princesses were coming to the kingdom. I had to choose one of them. Surely, you're just like, pick the prettiest one, or pick the smartest one! However, the thing is.... I have no idea who they are!

Getting out of bed, I groaned as I reached up to smack the alarm clock. I was awarded with a loud crack.

"Silence.... Finally." I mumbled, dragged myself towards the bathroom.

Just as I was about to yawn, I studied myself in the mirror. Dark brown eyes, dark brown hair, and unnaturally tan skin. Oh, and my hair... Its messy, like always. Not too long, not too short.

"Morn'nin!" Yelled my brother, passing by the bathroom door.

"Privacy!" I yelled back, shutting the door.

Staring at my reflection, I pondered deeply in thought. What if the girls were actually pretty? How will I choose? Why is there mustard on my shirt? Things were hard these days.

"They're here!" My brother yelled, meaning the princesses had arrived.

Quickly dressing in my best jeans and gray T-shirt, I slowly tried to smooth my hair over with some gel. Like usual, the gel only made it worse by causing my hair to stick up in the front. At last, I combed my unruly hair and walked out the private bathroom.

"What took you so long?" My brother asked, his mischivious green eyes twinkling in the light.

"Lots of things." I replied, returning his own signature smirk.

Walking down the stairs, I studied him. Like usual, he had his hands in his pockets, not bothering to touch the railing. There was just something unnatural about him. He was usually so immature and giddy. Now, he  acted so mature. I felt like messing with him, yet I didn't feel like making him angry.

Just as we arrived at the front porch, I heard a few squeals and random giggling. Like always, my brother and I waved and tried best to avoid the paparazzi's absurd questions. One by one, each girl came out of their limousines, fixing their hair and dress.

"Gorgeous ain't they?" My brother said, nudging my arm

"Yeah, they lo-" I was cut off by something I never thought I would ever see.

Passing by the limousine was the most beautiful maid I had ever seen. Her long auburn hair danced in the wind, complimenting her dark complexion and bright blue eyes.

This was going to be a long day.

Hello there! Do you like the beginning of the book? It was pretty hard to make, especially because of the names and all that.
