Narrator's Point of View

Three days after Baekhyun's break up and after that scene with Chanyeol, Baekhyun finally got to walk upright again. Everytime he would blame Chanyeol for it, Chanyeol only replies the same thing: "You started it." and Baekhyun knew that he also had a mistake. But he just cursed Chanyeol, his dick, his kink and his hormones.

This day was actually the day when he's going to start working his ass out to earn real money. His parents cut off his allowance and he wasn't comfortable with accepting shoots right now after what happened. He was going to start working at one of Chanyeol's nearby cafe. Baekhyun was actually nervous as hell. He never actually had a normal job where he'll work for more than 12 hours.

"Ready to go?" Chanyeol raises an eyebrow at Baekhyun while fixing his shirt.

"Yeah.. I mean- maybe... I think I don't-I mean I got this..." Baekhyun stutters and fiddles with his fingers

Chanyeol noticed the younger's nervous state.

"Don't worry, that bratty attitude of yours would just really get you in trouble." Chanyeol jokes and was about to go out when he noticed that Baekhyun was still in the same position he was.

"Jesus Baek, I was just joking. Kyungsoo and the others would like you. Now come on before you get late and that affects your salary." Getting the message, Baekhyun nodded and followed Chanyeol out.

"Oh my glittering dashing eyeliner! Hi! By the way, I'm Luhan and Chanyeol already told us about you before so no need for any introduction." Luhan rants as Baekhyun got inside the cafe.

Due to the lack of paparazzis, Baekhyun was able to act naturally and for now he was feeling a bit of weird. Considering that he just found someone who's dressed like a boy but is actually a girl.

"Oh hahaha hi... I umm... I'm– gay–beautiful–  fuck–wait sorry– I'm Baekhyun." A small smile was etched on Chanyeol's face as he sees the midget trying to speak normally.

"It's just your first day and I already see the lack of confidence Byun." Chanyeol teases and crosses his arms

"Oh cut him of some slack Yeol! It's his first day!" An owl-looking boy (who Baekhyun finds cute) and looks like Baekhyun's age came from the kitchen wearing a clean apron. He smiles at Baekhyun and offered him his hand

"Kyungsoo. You can call me D.O or just call me Soo if you want. I'm the only sane person who works here and you'll be under my care for the first week." Baekhyun nodded and accepted Kyungsoo's hand

"Since you're here, Chanyeol, we need another two sacks of powder and sugar because we are almost out of it." Luhan pouts and Chanyeol just nodded before taking a call.

Baekhyun's slightly thinking if Chanyeol is Luhan's boyfriend because they actually act like one (according to him and his observations).

"Oh and Xiumin's absent today– maybe you'll see him tomorrow, he's the cat looking boy if you were wondering how he looks like and there's–" Before Luhan can continue the door opened abruptly and shows a panting boy.

"That's Lucas, beware he's a major flirt so don't fall for any of his tricks or those awful pick-up lines of his. Just don't mind that douchebag and you'll be out of trouble." Luhan explains as Lucas combs his slick hair back and walks towards Baekhyun.

"Hey baby, I've never seen you here before? That's cus' you're one of a kind and I'd like to get you." Baekhyun inwardly gags

'Indeed a player' Baekhyun thought and shook his head

"Listen boy-o but you ain't playin' this ass so I guess you can back out now because your lines aren't going to get me." Baekhyun smiles and looks over to Kyungsoo who was trying to stifle his laughter at the quiet Lucas

"Maybe my lines won't but my looks will." Lucas winked and Baekhyun smiled as he remembered himself before he got in this hell hole.

"Lucas, I see you already got introduced to Baekhyun. No funny business here Lucas, you know that." Chanyeol taunts and the latter only smiled awkwardly before going to the kitchen to get started

"Again this is Kyungsoo the only sane person here excluding me, Luhan, my hyper and gay cousin

'So she's not his girlfriend. Wait why do I even care?'

– No, he's not a girl.

'And she's actually a he'

-Lucas, the one who just flirted with you and Minseok will be here tomorrow. That's it and start working now." Baekhyun raises his hand before Chanyeol and the others can move an inch.

"Question, is Xiumin and Minseok the same person or...?"

"They're the same person." Lucas answers as he got out wearing some roller blades and a tray.

"Oh and before I forget, you're working inside the kitchen." Chanyeol said before leaving them.

"Kitchen?!" Baekhyun's late and sudden reaction got some people's attention and Baekhyun immediately went to the kitchen in embarrassment

"What the hell, the Byun Baekhyun is going to do some baking? Is he out of his mind?" Baekhyun rants and Kyungsoo shooks his head

"No my friend, you are doing the washing of the plates and your training starts tomorrow when it comes to the baking part because apparently Chanyeol told me that he doesn't trust you with the oven but don't worry we had a negotiation about it." Kyungsoo winked and started rolling the pin against the flour

"I just don't get it why he didn't let Baekhyun go to the counter. Like, won't you bring us more customers than usual if you were in front?" Luhan pops up with a questioning look on his face

Baekhyun shrugged and smiled

"I guess he has it hard on you." Kyungsoo shooks his head and went back to rolling the pizza (ik it's a cafe and ur wondering y they got this but they also serve pizza here XD cus y not?)

Baekhyun lazily puts on his gloves mentally gagging at the sight of the leftover food and sighs before he opened the faucet.

'I fucking hate you Park freaking Chanyeol'

"You alright there baby?" Lucas asked Baekhyun who was currently not in the mood for his lame pick-up lines.

"Get the fuck outta my sight kid, can't you see I'm having a bad day right now?" Baekhyun spats without sparing Lucas a glance.

"Who're you calling kid? I'm 23 years years old for fuck's sake!" Lucas cursed and Baekhyun just stared lifelessly at him. He was silently wishing for Kyungsoo to come back now.

"And I'm 24 kid so just stay away from me if you don't want any trouble." By now the running water was turned off and Baekhyun was already trapped between Lucas' arms.

Baekhyun turned around only to realize that he had no escape now and the younger one was leaning in for a kiss. Baekhyun was clearly not amused but decided to also lean in as his lips smashed with Lucas. He thought about changing but why not have a little fun before changing, right?

Lucas deepened the kiss as Baekhyun's hands was now clutching the younger's shirt slightly making it wet. Baekhyun moaned into the kiss when Lucas initiated an open-mouthed kiss.

"Baekhyun! Office. Now!" Chanyeol surprisingly said with gritted teeth and a hard tone making Lucas and Baekhyun separate and them to both gulp.

"What the fuck was that?!" Chanyeol said in an obviously mad tone.

"What? I can do whatever I want, I'm fucking 24 Yeol." Baekhyun lazily replied even though he's aware that he's only pushing Chanyeol's temper. 

"Yet you act like an immature teen Byun." Chanyeol says with gritted teeth.

"So what? You're gonna fire me or something?" Baekhyun sassed

"No but I'm going to fire Lucas." Baekhyun's teasing smile falters as he heard the sentence.

"Chanyeol... Don't... It wasn't his fault." Baekhyun explains and Chanyeol could only chuckle darkly

"So you provoked him? Is that it?" Chanyeol asked and Baekhyun nervously nodded.

"Get out Byun.... Now!" Baekhyun rushes to the door and leaves the office immediately meeting the concerned faces of Kyungsoo and Luhan.

"What happened? Are you alright?" Luhan asked 

"It was.... Not so good but at least I got out."  Baekhyun joked despite the fact that he almost died inside that office.

"I kissed Lucas." Baekhyun blatantly answers

A gasp was heard from both boys and Baekhyun could care less about that.

"But I don't get it... We can kiss Lucas without Chanyeol getting mad but he's so mas when it was Baekhyun..." Kyungsoo explained his thought earning a shrug from Baekhyun

"Maybe it's because I'm under his care." Baekhyun replied and excuses himself to find Lucas

Kyungsoo only stared at Chanyeol's office door...

'Something's not right.'

"Hey! Lucas!" Baekhyun finds Lucas at the back of the cafe with a cigarette tucked between his lips.

Baekhyun quickly flicks the cigarette off the younger's lips.

"The heck?" Lucas angrily asks and Baekhyun rolls his eyes.

"Look, I just wanna say that I'm sorry for earlier—"

"You can't do anything about it Baek, I'm already fired." Lucas smiles sarcastically but Baekhyun was only thinking of the fact that he can still hear Chanyeol's voice calling him Baek

"Wait... You're not fired." Lucas widens his eyes

"Oh... That's pretty unexpected because Chanyeol is very strict." Again, Baekhyun just shrugs and turns to walk back to the cafe.

But before he can get inside, he speaks again.

"Let's just pretend nothing happened earlier." Baekhyun tells Lucas clearly before coming back inside.

"Hey, looks like your first day wasn't so good... Sorry if it didn't go the way you wanted it to." Kyungsoo gives Baekhyun an apologetic smile who just continues scrubbing the plates with the bubble-covered sponge.

"Hey, it's no biggie. I expected it to be worse so.. It's not really as bad as it looks like for me..." Baekhyun replies trying to brighten the mood up.

"Lucas left a while ago and I don't think Chanyeol will leave soon so... Wanna tag along with us?" Kyungsoo smiles at Baekhyun who just finished his last task.

"Well I want to but I can't... Maybe next time?" Baekhyun answers and Kyungsoo nods

"Oh yeah just next time when Chanyeol's in a good mood again." They both laugh before they bid their goodbyes and Baekhyun was the only one left in the cafe excluding Chanyeol.

The lights were already turned off so he just dashed to Chanyeol's office silently praying that the ghost won't get him. (truestoryforme sksksksks)

"What the hell? Is there an intruder?" Chanyeol looks at Baekhyun weirdly who quickly enters his office without permission and was panting like crazy.

"N-No.. There was just— I was just cold." Baekhyun lied but Chanyeol was too smart to believe the smaller.

"It's summer Baekhyun... It's supposed to be hot." Chanyeol sassed and went back to signing some things that Baekhyun didn't even bother to look at.

'Yeah hot like you— Wait what the hell Byun Baekhyun?!' Baekhyun shook his head and just sat at the sofa near Chanyeol's desk.

"So... Tell me about yourself." Baekhyun boringly tells Chanyeol as he plops down on Chanyeol's sofa creating a whoomp sound.

"Byun, I have more things to understand and take care of other than your bullshits." Chanyeol answers without removing his gaze from the papers.

"Meanie bitch who looks like a fucking Yoda." Baekhyun murmurs and Chanyeol's ears perk up trying to understand what the younger just said.

"Excuse me? What did you say?" Chanyeol asks

"I said Honey glitch." Baekhyun responds and Chanyeol could only look at him weirdly again before returning his attention to the piling papers.

"Fucking finally! My bed! I'm coming for you!" Baekhyun rushes towards his room and immediately plops down face first.

"Hold up mister. You didn't actually think that I'm going to let you go after that exchange you had with Lucas, right? Because if you think I am, then you are so wrong." Chanyeol enters his room and before he can react, his phone was snatched away from him and he stares at it slipping inside Chanyeol's pocket.

"Uhmm that's it?" Baekhyun states at Chanyeol with disbelief.

"Look for your MacBook Pro and iPad baby." Baekhyun's eyes widen as he realizes that Chanyeol's holding all of his gadgets along with his wallet.

"How the fuck did you get all of that?!" Baekhyun asks

"You're just too dumb and slow to notice.... Anyways, have fun reading some books there or something." Baekhyun only groans when Chanyeol exits the room.

He knew that he couldn't get those back so he just looked around his room and stared at the book shelf. He goes straight towards it and stops in front of it.

Baekhyun chokes on his spit as he sees the last book on the shelf. He quietly closes the door and his fingers touched the cover of the book.

"Does Chanyeol read this kind of books? Is that why he— wait why am I even thinking about that?! And why am I talking to myself?!" Baekhyun face palms himself before getting the book and sitting on the chair facing the beautiful city of Seoul in it's night time.

He sits comfortably on the chair before he starts to read the book who should not be named and a few minutes later, felt his eyes getting heavy and without knowing, he slept on the chair.

Bonus:

Chanyeol checks on Baekhyun an hour later or so after he finished his paper works and Chanyeol first panicked when he didn't see Baekhyun on the bed but a soft snoring led Chanyeol to the small cozy chair where Baekhyun was currently sleeping at. He didn't know why but Baekhyun's presence made him less tired and he carries him to the bed before tucking him in. 

Before Chanyeol leaves the room, he goes back to Baekhyun and kissed him on the forehead

"Goodnight my prince." Chanyeol utters before going outside and closing the door.

Not surprisingly, Baekhyun had a good sleep that night.
