Chapter 2: He must be one strong ass fucker, huh?

Bakugo was furious, worse than furious. He was livid.

Katsuki knew going to that conference would only upset him. But his mother insisted, said it was his duty as a young prince and the heir to the Woodland tribes.

Well FUCK that.

Katsuki just needed to get away at this point. Run away from this fucking consort nonsense and get some air. He was tired of it. He didn't need a fucking partner, he always did fine on his own. He was a fucking warrior prince for goodness sakes.

"M-m-my Lord," Bakugo turned around to see his personal servant when he arrived in his quarters to get his sword and canteen.

This pervert again, I'm not in the damn mood.

The servant chased after him, "Please my prince, where are you going? Your mother will be angry with me again if I lose track of you."

"None of your fucking business you bastard, and tell that Old Hag I said she can burn in a fucking fire. Now go to hell." Bakugo began walking even faster, dusting his servant Minoru Mineta who didn't have a chance to begin with. Storming away he shoved anyone who dare step into his path (except old women. Bakugo wasn't cruel just bad tempered.) He followed the trails leading to the edge of the castle grounds, then passing brick houses, the market place and even the tavern at the edge of town, he kept walking until civilization became scarce.

Bakugo then went westward, he knew the mountain range marked the end of their territory and that's exactly where he wanted to go right now. Maybe climbing mountains until his limbs were sore would make swallowing the truth that he was destined to someone he didn't love a little easier.

As he reached the half way point of the oak filled forest Bakugo stopped to listen to the blue jays sing and took in a deep breath, trying to center himself. He needed to get a grip but he could feel himself slipping into that self-loathing state of mind again.

Yes, Bakugo was never a loving man; he wasn't the kindest nor the softest, far from it.

But he had a heart; he craved for someone he could share a true connection with. He had a longing to be accepted by someone despite his crude nature, despite being rough around the edges. Bakugo did not want to have to change himself, who he was, just so he could find an "acceptable lover." Why couldn't he find an "acceptable lover" like him? Someone who was grossly misunderstood, out of place, a person who didn't truly belong. The sad truth was, Bakugo knew that if he weren't the young prince, if he had been born in any other Woodland family he would've probably been casted out by now for his rude behavior and foul personality.

Bakugo shook the thought from his mind and remembered why he was irritated in the first place.

"Fuck that grouchy old hag for even mentioning Denki," Bakugo scoffed. That man was a sore spot on Katsuki's heart and no matter how much time passed he never fully got over it. Was it because he really fell that hard for Denki? Or was it his pride, no his ego, that felt betrayed. Or was it that he simply thought he finally found someone to love and hold and it turned out they did not feel the same, in turn completely devastating him.

Maybe Bakugo could never really get over it because he was lonely. Maybe it was because he could never stop replaying their first kiss in his head. Maybe it was the way he remembered the boy's slim and lean body sitting upon his lap touching and kissing him when they were supposed to be asleep. And maybe Bakugo did ignore it every time the boy had told Bakugo he wasn't interested in anything serious with him. That he couldn't see himself in a serious relationship with someone like Bakugo. And don't get him started on the day the boy had told him he was in love with someone else and they should probably stop seeing each other.

Bakugo pushed the thoughts out of his head and continued walking; he was almost to the border. He just needed to focus on climbing, just stop worrying about useless shit from years ago, no matter how much it tugged on his heart.

Finally, he leaned against the last oak tree that stood proud and tall at the boarder of his lands. Looking out onto the field of grass that morphed into tall, sand brown mixed with red undertone mountains in the near distance.

These mountains kept the woodlanders safe from the dangerous beasts such as Basilisks, Cockatrices, Giant Scorpions, Mongo Death Worms and more that lived in the desert. But the most fearsome of all was the Sand Dragons. It was rumored that beautiful, but dangerous, Sand Dragons lived somewhere this great, large desert. Their gorgeous red scales gleaming for miles around under the hot sun. Despite being such an easy, bold color to spot in a beige colored landscape, it was almost impossible to find them. It was legend that they slept under the sand and only came out at night when it was time to hunt or mate. That's why if you ever saw one you knew it was a death sentence.

Bakugo had only been to the desert to meet with the Desert tribesmen once when he was very young, maybe ten. He could hardly recall what their village palace looked like. He did however remember the scorching heat very well. It was practically ingrained into his memory.

Making his way toward the base of the mountain the young prince began to climb up the mountains that seemed to touch the sky when he looked up at them.

Bakugo climbed for hours. It had to be noon by now, the yellow sun high in the sky, making him sweat slightly through his garments. Bakugo stopped on a flat ledge with what seemed like a deep cave descending into the mountain to take a drink of water from his canteen.

Katsuki was extremely high up; anyone with a fear of heights would probably have an anxiety attack standing in his place. Bakugo looked out towards the land and could see where the mountain scape perfectly split the desert from the woods. It was quite beautiful. Alluring almost, how he could see the whole forest.

Seeing it in its entirety like this made him swell with pride that this was his land. The lush green forest that provided them with food, shelter and protection would all belong to him once he turned twenty-five.

Bakugo stood there for what seemed like hours admiring the view of viridian green treetops and birds flying by but when he looked at the placement of the sun it had to have only been about an hour.

Everyone in the village must be looking for him now, probably sending scouts to the very edges of the boarder just to find him. Unless they were smart enough to figure out he climbed the mountain they'd never find him. His mother hated when he left the town, always saying they had enemies and the bounty on a prince's head was high if he were to ever be captured.

Suddenly he heard groans echoing from the cave behind him.

Jumping up and turning to face the dark depths of the cave he took his sword from his side and stood in his fighting stance. After a few minutes of waiting, realizing no one was trying to attack, the young prince decided it was probably nothing serious. Katsuki, with the sword still in hand, ready for anything, began to walk deeper into the cave.

After about twenty feet he finally spotted the source of the groans.

A dragon with seven arrows between his shoulder blades laid there, in agony.

Bakugo could feel the pain radiating off the poor creature, it was though they had given up all hope and decided to wait there for death to over come them.

It was strange there wasn't much illumination this deep in the cave but the dragon's scales appeared to be a dull pink, rather than the fire red all the legends said they would be. Looking around the cave it was completely empty so there was no way this could be the dragon's den which was strange. Why would he be here waiting for death instead of going back to his home to get help from a fellow dragon? Was he truly that wounded that he wouldn't be able to make it back home?

Bakugo let his eyes roam the backside of the dragon for a few minutes, admiring how beautifully sculpted and strong his body was despite the arrows sticking out and the dried up blood. This dragon truly was a ferocious beast, something even Bakugo would be weary of if he were to be his foe.

"If... If you're going to kill me... just do it already," the dragon said in between shallow, pained breathes in a deep, husky voice that Bakugo couldn't help but find very human like.

"Why would I kill someone who is already down? That is not how a warrior fights," Bakugo responded. He got down on his hands and knees next to the dragon and began to inspect the wounds closely.

Then without saying anything, no warning, Bakugo efficiently and expertly yanked one of the arrows out with one swift motion. The dragon shrieked in pain, throwing his head back for only a moment before it lay still on the cold, rock ground again.

The dragon's scales were immune to almost everything, made out of one of the strongest natural occurring materials on the planet. Only a Dragon Sagitta arrow could pierce their skin, You could tell a regular arrow from a Dragon Sagitta arrow because of it's color, a rich dark purple arrow head and white birch shaft.

Bakugo held the arrow up to the light entering the cave and saw it was indeed a Dragon Sagitta... And to think this dragon was shot by seven of them and lived.

He must be one strong ass fucker, huh?

"Just leave me to die... I'm not worth your time."

"You don't fucking get to decide what is and isn't worth my time."

Bakugo quickly pulled out the other six arrows and doused his back with all the water in his canteen, "I need you to fly us down the mountain so I can get you to my healer. Her sorcery is extremely powerful."

"I... cannot," the dragon said quietly as if even saying those two words took an immense amount of much energy.

"Why not, idiot?" Bakugo was irritated. Maybe it was because he was feeling useless today but if he couldn't save this dragon's life he was going to loose his shit.

The wounded dragon laughed softly with a small cough at the end, as if that was taking all his energy to do, "I'm on the brink of death... I have no energy... I've been here for five nights so even the energy the sun gives me has faded away... I would never make it down the mountain in this condition. Plus... I don't need a healer, I'm a dragon... now that the arrows are removed my body can heal itself."

Suddenly that sparked an idea in Bakugo's head, "You get energy from the sun?"

"Yes...I'm a sand dragon. The heat from the sun give us our ability to breath fire... and keeps our scales red. If I was an ice dragon the cold... would give me my power to breathe ice."

"So what you're telling me is you need heat?" Bakugo had a smirk on his face, feeling as if he was a genius.

"Yes..." The dragon said hesitatingly as though he was concerned with what Bakugo was going to do.

"Well it's your lucky fucking day dragon! I have explosion magic." Bakugo raised up a hand and it began to crackle and sizzle, mini explosions going off one after another so tiny that they weren't even close to lethal but still hot to the touch. He placed his hand on the snout of the dragon letting the explosions go off until he could feel the spot get warm. That's when he noticed the scales around his finger tips slowly turn a deep, fiery red. The dragon nuzzled into the hand and a low growl echoed through the cave, was he purring?

"Can you make these explosions bigger... to cover more surface area?" The Dragon said hopeful.

"I can make explosions that block out the sun," Bakugo responded, his voice leaked cockiness.

"My scales are strong enough to withstand your blasts. Do you think... you could do a couple of big ones. If I get enough heat in my body... I'll at least be able to walk."

The sinister smile that came across Bakugo's face made the dragon internally question the man's sanity, "Of course I can you over grown lizard!"

Bakugo began to run around the dragon's body sending off large scale explosions every time he made it to a new side. He went around the dragon three times and by then the scales were almost at their max capacity of redness. He went around one more time and it was done.

The dragon began to stand up on all fours. Standing on his hind legs he brought his upper body up vertical and stretched, then he began to walk to the mouth of the cave, moving Bakugo forward with his snout so he would come too.

"Tch. Don't push me after I just saved your life you damn idiot."

"I'm not pushing, merely guiding," the dragon giggled happily.

Once they got to the ledge, the dragon pushed Bakugo down onto his ass and wrapped his body around the Blonde man, then secured his heavy, long tail around Bakugo's legs and waist to keep him trapped there, he smiled showing his large, sharp teeth.

"Oi, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" Bakugo began to smash his fists against the creature's tail and let off a few leathal explosions but it had no effect.

The dragon only began to squeeze his tail tighter around the man's body and nuzzled his snout against Bakugo's fluffy hair, "I'm showing you my affection human. You could've killed me and sold my scales to make a fortune, instead you saved my life. Now let's rest in the hot sun for a while so I can fully regain my strength and then I'll hunt us some dinner."

Bakugo couldn't believe the words out of the dragon's mouth, was he serious right now? Also... dinner???? Bakugo intended on going home, to the palace, to have his dinner.

"Look, I can't stay you dumbass. I need to leave before it gets dark."

"No, it will be dark by the time I finish cooking dinner so it will be safer to stay here with me for the night. Honestly, I want you to stay with me forever, I like you. You have passion and strength, very manly. Now rest human, we will talk more when we wake."

"Oi, WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND YOU DAMN DUMB FUCK DRAGON! I need to get back home before nightfall. And don't say embarrassing shit like that!"

"No, I won't let you leave me," the dragon said with a giggle and gave Bakugo a small squeeze with his tail.

For the next hour Bakugo sent off explosions to whatever part of the dragon's body he could reach with his hands, he kicked, he screamed, he punched... but alas he found himself trapped, wrapped by a sleeping dragon, who by the way radiated too much heat. With that and the warm sun shinning down Bakugo began to feel sleepy.

Five minutes, I'll sleep for five minutes and then I'm sneaking out of here.
