Wedding

Lily

"Are you ready Lily?"

"Ready as I'll ever be" I smiled.

It was finally the day of the wedding, the day that I would walk down that aisle and call Jeon Jungkook mine once and for all. It was a private wedding so only my friends and Jungkook's family and friends were here.

The music started signalling my cue to walk. As soon as I entered, the sight was beautiful but what shocked me the most was Jungkook. He wore a black suit with a white shirt underneath and his hair was parted at the forehead. Is this really the guy I'm getting married to? Man, I'm blessed. When I finally arrived at my position, I fully marveled at his beauty.

"The groom may now read his vows"

"Oh wow ok" The guests laughed at how nervous he was and let's be honest, so did I.

"Lily, Li, honey, my darling, there are so many names that I call you by but finally I get to add one more, my wife. In all my years of living and trust me, I've been here for quite a long time-" The guests laughed at his joke and I had to stifle a chuckle.

"-I never knew what true love was until I met you. When I first saw you, I couldn't even breathe. You were so sweet and gentle and I had to wonder how I got to be in such a marvelous presence like yours. You helped me, a stranger, with a smile on your face. You're selfless, beautiful, understanding, brave, caring, friendly, smart, courageous and the list goes on that we could be here for another thousand years. You love strawberry and chocolate ice-cream because you think vanilla is too plain and you're not plain. You love watching romance anime because you like the cheesy scenes but you watch action too cause you like the fight scenes. You don't like makeup because you think it hides your true features but you'll wear it if you have to. You care about your friends so much that you would do anything for them. I'm so glad that I can be the one who loves you the most and the one you call your husband."

By the end, I was full on crying. Nothing could stop the stream of tears rolling down my face because I was so happy that I could have this man as my husband, my soulmate.

"The bride may now read her vows"

"Jungkook, Kookie, there are literally no words in the universe present that can tell you how much I love you. You miraculously came into my life and I will always be thankful for that. I love your smile, your laugh, the way you wake up from our sleepovers, the way you always talk about how much you love overwatch or gushing about banana milk. Your voice is so glorious and you can make my day just by saying hi. You filled my heart with joy every time you walked into school. You always like to tease me with that bad boy persona of yours which always made me slap you. You are frustratingly handsome, kind, caring, fun, childish at times, cute, funny and strong. You make my heart skip a beat effortlessly because without you, I would never be the same. You are my light, my joy and I am beyond happy to call you my husband and for you to call me your wife"

A huge smile formed on his face and I could see some tears on his cheek.

"Do you take Lily Avendale to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do"

"And do you take Jeon Jungkook to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do"

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride"

Jungkook pulled me by the waist and I was met with a passionate kiss.

"I'm glad we were a part of your wedding" The girls walked up to me when we were at the reception after I changed into my second dress: a purple off the shoulder dress that had ruffles at the bottom and ended at my knees.

"Of course. You guys are my besties. I would never not make you a part of it"

"Sorry to interrupt but can I talk to Lily please?"

"Sure"

My friends walked away leaving us in silence.

"Hi" Alex hugged me, making sure not to wrinkle my dress.

"Hey"

"I can't believe you're my sister-in-law now"

"Neither can I. Thank you so much for bringing us together last time"

"No problem. You guys just needed a little push," she said while laughing.

"Sis, hate to break this up but we have a turning to do"

"Ooooooh. Get to it then, don't let me stop you" She gave me a wink and I blushed at the thought. Jungkook laughed, took my hand and dragged me somewhere. Oh Merlin, what did I drag myself into?
