Chapter 8: Battle-Part 2

Day 2: Offering Secretly

The woman is shaking in fear as Nyroc has come to her closely, he kneeled to her level. "If you want to grab the..." before Nyroc could finished, someone has thrown a rock at his hand. "Ow..." he turned. He saw a little boy that was holding another rock in his hand and he is showing fear and anger within his eyes. "A little brave boy is he?" Nyroc stood up. "Coryn, take care of him for me."

"With pleasure," the smallest one has almost a boys' voice has grabbed a knife and started to attack the boy.

The boy gasped as she dropped the rock and started to run as Coryn went after him. While they are gone, the streets have become quiet again. Nyroc turns to the woman once again,

"Now," he said. "Where were we?" the woman was ready to scream, but they have heard another noise on the ground and it has suddenly stopped Nyroc. "Now what?" he looks around as he stood up with one glance. He saw Heaven, the prince and Deacon underneath the table.

Uh-oh, Heaven thought.

"They have spotted us!" Deacon held his book,

"Well, well, well," Nyroc crooked a smile. "This is a big surprise,"

All of the sudden, the other person in the black cloak has turned around and lightly gasped as the person recognized one of them. Suddenly the woman has got up and ran away,

"Hmph, our practice pray has escaped. Perhaps," he waved his hand and the flock of crows appeared. "We can have them as prisoners to go along with the deal," he commanded the crows to attack. Deacon grabbed Heaven's wrist again,

"Run for it," Deacon shouted as the three of them has begun to run and the flock of crows chasing them.

While they are beginning to being chased, Nyroc and the person in the black cloak are alone. "Well," said Nyroc. "Let's go find another pray to...huh," when he turned around. The person was not with him anymore, all that he could find is a crows feather, lying on the ground. Nyroc slowly and lightly growled, "Typical," then he jumped onto the roof tops and started to run so he could go look for them.

Down on the streets; Heaven, Deacon and the prince are still running. Until they have come to a fork in a road, "Which way?" Heaven asked as she's' out of breath, the prince still listens to the sound behind them. He can hear the crows are still following them and they are coming even closer to them. Suddenly, he has an idea.

"You guys go to that away," he pointed to the right. "I'll take this one while I distract them,"

"What?" Heaven jumped,

"Are you crazy?" Deacon asked him,

"It's the only way, just trust me." The prince answered as the crows has become a lot closer, "Now go and hurry," then they both have begun to run again and the prince turns to the crows. When the crows saw him, he growled at them. "If you want my heart," he shouted his growl. "Come and get it," then he ran to his left and ran down hill. All of the sudden, the flock of crows has flown after him.

While he is running, the prince is almost out of breath and he is trying to figure out away to get away from the crows. Suddenly, someone has grabbed his arm and pulled him into the shadows of the alley. The person has let go of his arm, held onto his chest and pushed him against a wall of the building. "Wh-what the...?" he spoke,

"Shh..." the same person in the black cloak that he saw earlier has hushed at him. The person lean against the prince, so they could blend into the shadows. While they both have become very quiet, the crows kept on going straight; down the hill. Never paying attention to their right or left of their side of the heads and they have vanished out of sight.

While the streets are quieting down again, the prince saw something shining on his right chest. He looked at it, it is on a ring finger of the persons hand and he has recognized the ring. He looked at the persons face, "Raylynn, is that you?" he whispered his question, the person turned to him as it takes it hood off. With one surprise, it is the same familiar face that he always knows.

"Prince," she whispered back.

"Oh thank goodness," he wrapped his arms around her and brought her close to him. "Raylynn," Raylynn can feel his warmth of his body and she really like the scent of his smell.

Quietly, Raylynn lightly purred as she accepting his warmth.

"What happened?" the prince looks as her, "Did they hurt you or do anything to you?"

"No," she nodded. "They didn't hurt me or do anything to me, at all. All they could say that Nyroc is training me."

"Training you?" the prince jumped, "But why and what for?"

"I don't know," she shrugged. "All they could tell me is that I was one of their lost crow and something else that they couldn't tell me." The princes' eyes has become widened and full of worrying as he still listens. "Mytho...I don't remember about being a crow or anything...that's what is scaring me. Until Coryn..."

"Coryn? Who's Coryn?"

"Nyroc's son and his apprentice, he told me that their master...the Raven is going through the same thing as I am. But...he doesn't know why,"

"Maybe his father is trying to protect him from it, just like I was trying to protect you."

"But...but why is that?"

"I don't know but...you were once was a crow yourself,"

"Huh?"

"Back then...when we were both were still young, you were too an apprentice, you were in training to hunt hearts for your master. But when we both first met...something has allowed you to change."

"I'd began to love you and other stuff?"

"Yes," the prince nodded. "But suddenly...you have begun to suffer and I have figured a way to get you away from everything that is in your life, so you won't have to suffer more."

"And that is?"

"Your crows heart...I'd sealed it away so you could manage to develop your own heart as human instead."

"But...but why?"

"Because..." the prince sighed, "I don't want you or see you to get hurt, so that's why you're so precious to me and I don't want anything happen you to. So please forgive for what I have done and tried to keep it away from you."

"Oh Mytho," she wrapped her arms around the prince. "That's the sweetest thing that you have ever done,"

"Huh...but...?"

"I know that I'm supposed to be angry at you but...you've also precious to me and I am grateful to have a human heart...to learn how to feel and other things, instead of having an old heart that's full of commanding and follow orders and other stuff.

"It's because I have begun to love you and create friendship and wonderful things that could grow inside of me instead the darkness to acquired. I'm really grateful for that, but sometimes I wondered about my real name is and where do I come from before this. Do you know what and where it is?"

"Yes but...its not the time to tell you yet,"

"But why not?"

"I something believed that it will be still nothing but what it could brought you into anymore pain,"

"So I won't be able to suffer like that?"

"Exactly, but..." the prince sighed, "I'm sorry," suddenly Raylynn's vision has become blurry again and almost fall onto him. "Raylynn, are you alright?" he catches her before she fell,

"I...I think so, but I'd think that I'm still hungry."

"Have you ate anything lately?"

"They only have corn and bread crumbs to give me, but it's not satisfying my hunger. And I wondered why," before the prince could say anything. They both heard Nyroc's voice,

"Newbee!" Nyroc called out, "Where are you?"

"I've got to go," Raylynn whispered.

"When can we meet again?" the prince asked his whisper,

"I don't know," she shrugged.

"How about this?" he held her, "Tomorrow at the same time as this, you and I will meet at the park. I will give you something to deliver their master, the Raven."

"An offering but what about...?"

"It will be only a secret, so tomorrow we can meet. Can you manage that?"

"I think so, but what if...?"

"If Nyroc finds out anything about this, tell him that he will meet me instead of you at the same time as this at the park. Will that work?"

"Yes, but I'm very worried."

"I know; I am worried too." Then they both kissed,

"I or Nyroc will met you at the park tomorrow afternoon, I promise."

"Okay,"

"Newbee!" Nyroc roared,

"Stay close to the wall and don't let him see you," she puts her hood on.

The prince nodded and lean closer to the wall as Raylynn jumps to the roof tops.

"New...there you are," Nyroc growled. "Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you,"

"I'm sorry," Raylynn apologized. "I'm just glancing and sight seeing over the buildings from above and down below, and I was saying my goodbyes to the things that are familiar. One last time,"

"Hmm, I see. Now its already passed sun-high, so its time to go. Coryn!" he called out, suddenly a boy has appeared right next to Raylynn,

"Right here sir," he said.

"How's the boy?"

"Just put a scratch on him and he'll won't bother us anymore,"

"Good, now. Let's move," then they all has started to run and jump onto building to another. Then they have disappeared out of sight and hearing, and when its all quiet again. The prince has decided to go look for Heaven and Deacon, and tell them the good news.

At the restaurant; underneath the table, Heaven and Deacon are hiding underneath the table. Suddenly, the prince founds them, "It's okay," he said. "The crows are gone now," then they have came out of hiding.

"So...how did it go with the crows?" Heaven asked,

"Pretty hard but they can easily to get distracted," the prince answered.

"Good, but tell me. What was going on and who was that man that we just saw?" Deacon asked,

"It's very complicated," Heaven answered.

"Well, I like to know what was going on 'till something else happens." Then Heaven stomach growled,

"What time is it?" she asked, then Deacon looks at his watch.

"It's 4:30 p.m.," he answered.

"What?" Heaven jumped, "It's already passed lunch time because we were busy being chased by crows?"

"Well, we are at the restaurant." The prince suggested, "So we could have lunner here before we could head home,"

"Sounds like a good plan," Deacon agrees.

"Oh right," Heaven smiled bright fully. Then they all have sat down and order their lunner (lunch mixed with dinner together.)

When they ate, Deacon paid their food and drinks before getting up from their chairs. When they got up, Deacon has said goodbyes to Heaven and to the prince, and they went separate ways.

On their way to Fakir's house, the prince is wondering how Raylynn's doing. If this keeps up, the prince thought. The seal will be broken real soon, and who knows what would happens next. The prince sighed, Raylynn...I hope that you know what you are really doing before its time to release you to your true self and everything that we all knew will be gone forever. Then they both have entered into Fakir's house and they are getting ready to explain everything had happened to Heaven's parents; while they were in town.

At the Farm House, Nyroc went to the attic. He saw the same person in the middle of the pentagram with candles lite up around it. The person is naked and it is looking down, Nyroc kneeled. "Master," he spoke.

"Ah...Nyroc," the voice of a man has spoke. "What news did you bring?"

"The girls' training is going well," he began. "She's a fast learner ad everything is okay with her, but except..."

"Except what?"

"She has sneaked away earlier during our training today and when she told me that she is sight seeing, that's when I've believe that she is lying to me."

The person laughed,

"Is there something that I'd just said?"

"Yes, there is."

"Then what is it?"

"You know...the sounds of that she is lying to you because I can smell the boy right on her."

"She went to meet that human prince," Nyroc clutches his fist. "That makes me mad you know,"

The person nodded,

"But how did you know that she's...?" he was going to ask,

Nyroc stopped as he heard the person is lightly growling towards him.

"Umm.... never mind,"

The person sighed, "Nyroc, the girl is not feeling so well today when she got back and she won't be able to have a task tomorrow until she gets better. But I have one task for you in her place,"

"Yes master?"

"Go and meet the boy at the park, tomorrow afternoon, and see what he wants with our crow?"

"But...?"

"Are you going to question me Nyroc?"

"Well no, I..."

"Then go," he dismissed Nyroc and left the person alone. When Nyroc's gone, the stomach from the person has just growled. "Ah..." the person has held its stomach, "I'm so hungry," then it looks at the cooler and so if its ready to feed.

At night, everyone is asleep in town. To the woman who was getting fruit this morning; that the crows has attacked the town. She believed that she is having a nightmare about it, but she hopes that everything is back to normal when she wakes up on the next morning.

At twilight, the woman was sleeping peacefully until a cold breeze has woke her up. When she woke up, she can feel that her neck is very uncomfortable and her body feels cold. She tries to move but her arms are so sore and she couldn't move them. She looks up, she saw that her hands are tied up right above her head and they are tied to...the head of the bed. She looks behind her, she saw a bed frame with no matchers on it. When she looks down, her feet are a few inches above the floor and she could barely touch it. When she looks at herself, she is wearing now clothes on her at all. No wonder that my body feels so cold, the woman thought. She tries to call out for help, but all she could make is a noise. She tries to feel what's on or around her mouth. She can feel something is in her mouth and something is blocking it. Suddenly she has realized that she's been gagged, she gagged and squeal for help but nothing has come out. Suddenly she saw something red and it is flaring with candles all around her.

Oh my, she thought. Witch Craft! Suddenly she heard muttering, she looks straight ahead of her, she saw a man in a black jacket and she has started to hear some words from him.

"Ito wil zen tei," he said. "Sem bio gol lifa,"

What is he doing? The woman wondered as she kept on listening,

"Lye i coliden," the man grabbed a bowl. "Sen it tai, la fa, lebema." He dipped his two fingers into the bowl, and come out with red paint. "Ico tei, into tai." He painted on the woman's' left side of her chest, "Garu," he painted a pentagram that is upside down in a circle. "Lenti Raven-craf!" The pentagram has glowed suddenly he stroke his hand into her chest.

The woman has gagged her scream in pain, when he is done. He has pulled something out of her chest, when they looked. It is glowing pinkish-red, when the woman listens to the sound. It is beating like a soft drum, and she has realized what it is.

That...that's my heart! The woman jumped, He has my heart but...how come that I'm still alive...not dead? Then the man has started to walk away. The woman gagged the word stop, when he stopped and turned to the woman. With one shocking moment, she saw his eyes are glowing bloody red. She gagged her scream as she watches him disappeared in the black dust and crow feathers, and vanished along with her heart. While she is alone, she tries to call out for help while she is gagged and she is trying to think a way to escape her captive that's lurk into the night.

In the morning, everyone is up and ready for the day. When Heaven got down stairs, she saw a basket right next to the door. Curious, she was going to look what's in the basket suddenly, a voice has stopped her. "Morning Heaven," she turned around and saw it was the prince.

"Oh, morning Mytho." Heaven smiled,

"What are you doing?" he asked her,

"I was just going to take a look at that basket there," she answered. "I'd didn't see it yesterday when we came home but somehow it feels familiar to look at it. Like from yesterday I believe,"

"That's right," the prince walked to the basket. "That basket belongs to someone else and I was asked to deliver it to a different person."

"Really?"

The prince nodded,

"Who is it?"

"Just somebody that I used to know," he picked the basket up. "I'm heading out,"

"Are you going to eat breakfast?"

"I've already ate," he opens the door. "See you when I get back," he closed the door and left.

"Hmm," she crossed her arms. Something is defiantly up, Heaven thought as she headed up the stairs. She went into her room, grabbed a book, a pen and put them into her bag. I've better go check it out before I lose the prince, Heaven puts the bag strap on her shoulder and begun to run back down stairs. She went into the kitchen, grabbed a granola bar, "Heading out!" she called out,

"Where are you going?" Fakir asked her,

"Heading to the library," she lied. "Be back in a bit," and outside she went.

Outside, she was running with one granola in her mouth and the other in her hand. She looks for the prince and tries to track him down with his scent. Suddenly, she found his scent so she has begun to follow it.

While she is following the princes' scent, it was leading her to the park. Why in the world would he be here at the park? Heaven wondered, then she has spotted something at the tree and right next to it. It is the prince, so she quickly hid behind some bushes as she listens carefully and watches over the prince.

While the prince is standing near at the tree, he has felt the wind changed direction. "Hmph," the prince has put on a smirk on his face. "You're very early to meet here with me..." he turns to the person who have appeared right next to the tree as well. "Nyroc,"

"I would say the same thing about you...Human Prince," Nyroc crossed his arms and stands there as he's ready to talk with the prince.
