🎭A Shattered Reality💔
"Honk! Honk!"
The loud sound from a car brought Waafi back to the reality.
He was in a trance. A lot had been happening since last night. Some major decisions were made for him and that too against his will. And now he was sitting in front of the car beside his father. He squirmed hearing his father cussing. It still troubled him.
"Bloody third class driver caste! If I were the prime minister, I wouldn't let a single f***ing illiterate to set foot on these cars! No manners at all!" With this he also started honking loudly.
"As if you have really good manners..." Waafi muttered under his breath.
"Did you say something, son?" Waafi nodded just like he always did. He couldn't stand up to his father. That's why he wanted to leave all this and settle abroad. But his so called father didn't even allow that.
"When are the little twits coming back from school? Had the drivers gone to take them? Such hassles they make. Ugh I miss Wahida just for this."
His nagging questions really irritated Waafi. His father was talking about his brothers and his mother and he couldn't say anything.
"Yes the drivers will bring them home. Since I'll be not around anymore I have already instructed the drivers, the caretakers and also the cooks. You don't have to worry father."
His father Gafur Hassan had obtained only one thing on the earth. That was money. He kept low profile so that many people didn't know. But he was one of the richest persons in Bangladesh. And to Waafi and his brothers, worst father ever.
The car finally came to a halt. Waafi looked up to see a magnanimous building in front of him.
Royal Medical College - it was written in golden metals in front of the gate. A medical college was never the dream of Waafi. He didn't even give the admission test. But he didn't know how his father managed to do that. Now he had to live a life that was never his.
"See, Waafi. What a beautiful place! Thank your father for this opportunity! Otherwise, you can't even step a foot on this land."
Waafi let out a sigh seeing his father's attitude. It was good he would be staying in the hostel most of the time. That was only the positive point in all of this.
Two uniformed guards opened their car doors for them. Waafi got down from the car and soon his father joined him.
"Let's get your admission form, son. You don't have to stand in the line. We will go the the director's office."
Waafi didn't like these kind of favours. He was perfectly capable to stand in the lines just like many other students. But his father always wanted VIP treatment. He reluctantly followed his father.

"This is my son, Waafi about whom I spoke to you last night, Hashem."
Waafi saw how casually his father talked to the director of this medical college.
"Yes yes, Gafur bhai. I have kept all the papers ready and also the forms are filled up. You just have to handover the mark sheets and the admission will be done."
Dr Hashem sweetly said. Sweetly was to be emphasized. It seemed like his mouth were dripping sugar. Waafi had seen so many people like him who worshipped the ground Gafur Hassan walked on.
Waafi handed them the papers and Dr Hashem smiled approvingly.
"Ah you have a gem Gafur bhai. You didn't need a reference from me! His marks are perfect!"
Gafur moved forward on his chair.
"I know Hashem. But you know he hadn't taken the admission test..."
Dr Hashem didn't let him complete the sentence.
"We didn't hear a thing. Waafi is your son so he is my nephew from today. He will study here and you don't have to worry about a single thing."
He suddenly looked at Waafi.
"Waafi beta, go with my PA, Kabir. He will give you a tour of our campus. Well, just a small tour. Because it's so huge just like my belly! Hahaha..."
Waafi's father joined in the laughter. Waafi slowly got up and followed the PA. He didn't say a thing. It was not needed after all. Nobody wanted to hear him. Nobody cared what he wanted. He didn't want his life to be purchased by his father. But this was what happened there. He brought a seat for him, that too, illegally. Waafi didn't know if Allah would forgive him or not.
