Confrontation

Summer

I was currently getting ready to go to Club Champagne when my doorbell rang. I put my earring in and ran downstairs to get the door. I swung the door open and there stood my father. I mentally rolled my eyes and just stared at him.

"What are you doing here? I was actually on my way out."

"A father can't visit his daughter now?" He rose a questioning brow.

"Look, I'm not trying to be rude, but I really have to get going."

"Well what I have to say won't take but a second."

I looked down at my watch and looked back at him. "Okay I'm listening."

"Wow Summer, you aren't going to invite me in?"

I stepped aside and let him in. He looked around as if he hadn't seen my condo before. He looked at the paintings on the wall and scanned my living room furnish. He turned back to me and looked at what I had on.

"Where are you going?"

"Daddy that doesn't concern you. Now if you don't mind saying whatever you need to say please say it so I can leave."

I saw the glare that he gave me and I knew that he didn't like how I was being short with him, but right now he isn't my favorite person.

"Summer you know in the position that I'm in, it's certain things that you should and shouldn't do. One of those things is hanging with that thug, August Alsina."

"Daddy I'm grown and whatever I do or whoever I see is my business. As long as I keep God first and trust him and not man, I will be okay. You don't own me."

"Listen to me and listen to me good Summer, you will not disrespect me. He isn't good enough for you and you should be with somebody like Jerod."

"Do you hear how ridiculous you sound? I am not interested in Jerod. You can't handpick men for me and you can't control me any longer. I'm twenty-one and I haven't experienced life like a normal person because of you. I know how to conduct myself like a lady. Now let yourself out." I turned on my heels and walked upstairs.

He was the pastor, he was my daddy, but he wasn't Jesus himself. He really need to get a grip and worry about what he was doing in the dark or at least what he thought he was doing in the dark. When I got back downstairs he was gone and I sighed in relief. I finally made it out of my condo and headed to see August.

August

I was chilling by the bar as I looked out at the crowd of people in my club. I was blessed and I was thankful for this opportunity. People danced, talked and was just vibing like always. I looked up when I noticed a nigga I hadn't seen in years. I wondered what the hell he was doing here because I had never seen him here before. That in itself had me on alert.

Seconds later Summer walked in looking fine as hell. She was about to walk through the crowd, but that nigga Jerod stopped her. He was grinning all in her face and she just looked at him as if she was irritated. I knew then that it was time for me to make my presence known. I headed across the floor when none other than Callie the hag stopped me.

"Callie I'm not in the mood fa' ya shit."

"August why are you dissing me. I mean before Summer came into the pictured you were all me."

"Girl quit lying ta' ya'self. Cause Aug wasn't all ova' shit." I side-stepped her and walked straight to where Summer and Jerod were.

"Wassup Summer?" I whispered in her ear the same time I snaked my arms around her waist.

"Hey August." She smiled at me over her shoulder.

"You look gorgeous by tha' way."

"Thank you and you look good."

"Thank you mama." I kissed her cheek while looking at Jerod.

Jerod stared at me for minute and smirked cockily. He knew not to even step to me or even cross me.

"Baybeh you ready."

"Yeah."

I grabbed her hand walked through crowd. I got some hateful stares from females, but a nigga didn't care because I was with who I wanted to be with. I walked over to the private VIP section and sat down. I pulled her into my lap.

"How was ya day?"

"It was cool. My dad paid me a visit when I was about to leave to come here." She looked at me.

I already knew that it had to be some deep shit by the expression on her face. "What happened?" I rubbed her thigh.

"The usual and I don't want to talk about it. I just want to enjoy my time with you." She pecked my lips.

"Fine by me. You want anything to eat or drink?"

"Yeah just get me a club soda and some hot wings."

"Okay." I got one of the waiters to place the order and Summer and I talked and tripped out. I was glad to see her happy and enjoying life.

Callie

I couldn't believe this shit. August was really dealing with this wannabe holy bitch. I don't know what the hell he sees in her because she can't do the things that I can do. She is too goody-goody. As stared at them I got angrier by the second.

"What's the matter Callie? You wish you were in Summer's shoes?"

"Go to hell Jerod. You know you feeling some type of way because you been wanting Summer since you first laid eyes on her."

"True, but eventually I will get what I want and I will be sure  to get what I want because you are going to help me."

"The hell you think I'm supposed to do?"

He pulled out a vial with a powdered substance. I looked at him with a raised brow, wondering what the hell he was going to do with that.

"Jerod what the hell is that and what are you going to do with that?"

"Oh you mean what your are going to do with that?"

"Nigga I ain't doing shit."

"See Callie I think that you will because I know your little secret."

"Tuh! You don't know shit."

"Oh really. Well that's where you are wrong at Callie. I know about the baby, the baby you had with Jackson, the one that my aunt is raising, so keep thinking I don't know shit."

Well bomb number two dropped and it blew all the way up.

Excuse Mistakes!
