Natalie was silent from the ride to school and when we had stepped into the academy. I really didn't know what was wrong so I just let her be. It was obvious that she needed a few minutes to collect her thoughts.

Suddenly Natalie grabbed my wrist and led me into a classroom full of other students that were talking and laughing.

But all of that stopped when the door to the classroom closed behind us with a loud bang. " MISS WILLIAMS! WHY ARE YOU LATE TO MY CLASS!?", a loud voice boomed from the front of the classroom.

At first, I couldn't see who had spoken, but then a figure stepped out from the shadows in the corner of the front of the classroom.

" I'm sorry sir. I just got a new neighbor over the weekend, and she was enrolled in this school last minute. So I drove her here to school and gave her a tour", Natalie half-lied through her teeth.

The man nodded before making eye contact with me.

" What is your name and where are you from?", he asked me making me shift uncomfortably from foot to foot.

" I'm Adeline Blaire Haynes. I am 17 years old and I am from the east of Canada's border", I said in a clear voice.

The man's eyes widened for a second before he pushed his glasses up and then looked me in the eyes again.

" Welcome to the academy, and I hope you enjoy your stay".

I whispered a quick thank you before finding two empty seats. Natalie nodded and pointed at the two empty desks, telling me that we are going to sit there.

We sat down on the chairs and waited for the class to get started.

" Alright, class listen up! The most powerful person in the school is going to be in this class for the rest of the year. Don't make him angry. Come on in Prince Xanthous the 1st".

The whole class including me turned around in our seats when the door to the classroom opened. But what surprised me was the fact that Natalie didn't turn around. It was like she had already known this prince from past encounters.

That's when he walked in...

The hoodie guy from earlier except for the fact that he didn't have the hoodie on his head or the mask that had stopped just under his eyes.

And to say I was shocked out of my mind.

I had disrespected the crown prince!
