#1. Run
Run...
That's the only thing that was on my mind at the time. I needed to run and get away from whatever kind of crazy people carrying guns that are currently chasing me while yelling " She's an abomination!"
I had no idea why they would be yelling that at me! I know that I look different from other people around me but I just learned to love that part of myself
The thing that makes me different is my eyes...
They are purple and always look like there is a storm brewing on the inside of them.
I never knew why my eyes were the color they are. And even the doctors didn't have a single clue either.
Crack!
Suddenly four loud deafening growls filled the area around me. I knew that they were a small pack of wolves that were native around the area I lived in.
A small black wolf rubbed up against my knee before snapping open its jaw trying to bite me when I didn't move.
I moved away from it and fell onto my behind due to my clumsiness. I watched as more wolves from the exact same pack came out of hiding and surrounded me, blocking off any exits or entryways.
It almost seemed like they were trying to protect me. But why? I shook my head clearing all of my thoughts and worries so I could worry about what was happening at the moment and what I needed to do to keep both me and the wolf pack alive.
" I think I found her!", one of the hunter's voices shouted from only a few feet away. As soon as he had got done saying that you could hear the sound of two more pairs of feet running towards the area he was standing around that involved not only me but the wolf pack.
A few growls erupted from the wolves as the hunters came into view. I curled up into a ball and shielded myself with the bush and wolves around me, so I didn't cause any trouble to the wild wolf pack of 10.
" Damn it! How could you get a bunch of wild mutt's mixed up with a teenage girl!", One of them groaned in anger.
The wolves all growled or bared their teeth at the hunter's words. I guess they didn't like being called a mutt.
I quickly searched the forest floor around my curled-up body to see if I could find some sort of twig that I would be able to throw far enough to give the wolf pack and me a chance to getaway.
Ah-ha! Found one!
I picked it up and drew my arm back as far and high as I could without getting spotted before releasing the twig and making it land in a bush about 30 feet away from where we were now.
Perfect!
I quickly got up and made sure that the pack was following me before I took off sprinting at my full speed as the breeze tousled my long light brown hair.
The wolves cut in front of me and took the lead knowing where they were going. I decided to trust their instincts more than my own for the fact that they are smarter than humans and are the ticket to survival out in the wild.
