I'M SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING SOONER! I was having some issues with this chapter.

3rd POV
"Hey Bridgette, have you heard about the reunion  for our parents tonight?" Jacques asked his raven haired friend who threw her head back in a groan.
"Ugh.... don't get me started! My parents won't shut up about it!" She complained loudly earning a chuckle from Stella and Aisling.
"I think that this is the first time I've felt lucky about being an exchange student. I mean for once Stella and I AREN'T the members of this friend group complaining about our parents." Aisling said high-fiving Stella. Bridgette looked over at her with an empathetic smile and asked, "Actually while we're on the topic of your parents, Aisling, how are you handling things with the whole 'no longer allowed to be Jacques' friend deal'?" Aisling sighed slightly.
"Well it's been a bit of an Ogeous handling but I think I'm handling it quite well." She said with a wincing smile. The other two girls stared at her in confusion and Jacques fake coughed into his fist and muttered, "Your Belfast is showing." Aisling stiffened in embarrassment and cleared her throat before saying, "What I mean to say is it's a bit of a difficult situation but I'm taking care of it, I've gotten them to come around to the idea that I can still see him in school and at tutoring so long as I don't spend any time with him in the form of any kind of extracurriculars."
"That being said what Mr. and Mrs. McKenna don't know won't hurt them, in fact the two of us are going to get some ice cream from Ivan's cart later today, for old time's sake." Jacques said sharing a grin with Aisling who shoved him good-naturedly. Bridgette gave them a strained smile and Stella chuckled slightly before noticing the pained look in her raven haired friend's green eyes. Just then the four of them arrived at the tutoring center and stopped.
"Well I guess this is your stop. I'll see you guys in class." Bridgette said in an all too cheery tone that Stella recognized immediately as the one she used to use with her mother after shows once she stopped enjoying herself on stage. Jacques frowned and asked, "You're not coming in? I mean it's lunchtime and you LITERALLY live here." Bridgette shook her head with a fake smile.
"And have to deal with my parents going on about their upcoming high school reunion? I'm good." She lied expertly before waving and walking away. Jacques frowned again but shrugged it off as the three of them buzzed in and entered the massive building. Once inside they were immediately waylaid by a slightly terrified, unkempt looking Adrien who grasped Aisling by the shoulders and desperately cried, "You NEED to talk to her! You're good at calming people down and she is losing her mind and we are THIS CLOSE to having a new supervillain on our hands!!!" The three teenagers shared a concerned look before she nodded slowly earning a relieved, slightly manic, smile from the panicked man. Aisling gestured for him to show the way.
"So... what's going on exactly? Who is 'she'?" Stella asked tentatively as the four of them made their way through the foyer to Marinette's office.
"It'll be easier to show you," Adrien said looking nervous as they arrived at the door, the nervousness spread quickly as the three teenagers heard a loud, terrible wailing emerging from the room. "Now just to warn you guys it's.... well it's pretty bad in there." Adrien added cautioningly as he pushed the door open. The sight inside the office would have been enough to make even the bravest soul run and hide on some far off uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean. There sprawled out on Marinette's desk, clutching a threadbare yellow stuffed bear surrounded by an overflowing pile of used tissues was Miss Bourgeois, bawling her eyes out and wailing like a klaxon as Marinette stood staring Blair Witch style at a corner on the far side of the room giving off the aura of someone who had just given up on life. While Stella and Jacques stood in the doorway, frozen in confused terror Aisling let out a huff of annoyance and marched into the fray.
"Well this is a fine mess you've caused ma'am, I mean really where the hell did you even get this many tissues?! You know if we were in the middle of some kind of medical emergency I could have you reported." She scolded reproachfully with her hands on her hips as she glared down at her teacher. Jacques couldn't help but grin at the glare Aisling was giving her. It was the kind of glare that caused her whole face to resemble a thunder cloud and would, and in fact had, even make Plagg shrink to a fraction of his size and feel VERY, VERY sorry for everything he'd ever done. Aisling gripped her teacher by the shoulders and hauled her up into a sitting position.
"Get down! Honestly who raised you!? I thought you were posh! Sit by or behind the desk not on it! And clean up your damn mess woman honestly do you live in a barn?!" She shouted sternly, her glare never leaving her face. Miss Bourgeois muttered an, "I'm sorry..." in a meeker voice than any of the people in that room had ever heard and proceeded to clean up all of her tissues, sniffling quietly. Then, after having dealt with one problem Aisling turned her rage on the middle aged guardian in the corner.
"And YOUE Miss "High and Mighty Guardian", youe live here! Not te mention that she works for youe are youe honestly going te tell me that you're willing te allow your guests and more importantly the people that youe employ te conduct temselves in tis manner!?" Aisling questioned, her accent coming in thicker as her dark green eyes blazed with righteous fury. Before Marinette could even open her mouth to respond the young Irish girl continued on her tirade vehemently, "If youe jost let the people who work for youe do wotever tey wont youe'll jost have chaos and disorder witout end! Youe've got te git tem in line youe're self!" Marinette stalked away from the wall and stuck her index finger in Aisling's face and growled, "You will NOT speak to me that way young lady." Aisling smirked and crossed her arms asking, "Where was THAT attitude an hour ago?" Marinette gawped at the sixteen year old girl in front of her fumbling for words before turning her glare onto her husband who was still standing in the doorway awkwardly and pointed violently at the portrait that hid the hidden elevator and spat, "Take your protégé and start her training, NOW." Adrien rushed forward and ushered the still smirking girl away before someone got hurt. They arrived in a wide open space with a butterfly patterned window. The room was filled with candles giving the place a warm glow.
"You know you shouldn't have gone off on Marinette like that." Adrien said switching to English for her benefit, his back turned to Aisling as he stared at the window sadly.
"I was just speaking my mind, besides I know her type, they fail at something enough times and they're ready to quit on it entirely. They come to the decision that it's impossible for them to do and then they give up. The only way to get people like that back in gear is to tell them that they can't do the thing, then they get all in your face and hit back harder by proving you wrong." She said simply earning a slight smirk from her mentor.
"And how exactly do you know my wife's type of person so well Aisling?" He asked sounding amused. Aisling stiffened slightly, suddenly feeling like she'd wandered into a trap.
"Trust me kid, you ARE that type of person." Plagg said floating by Aisling's head carefree. Adrien laughed as the Irish girl tried to sputter an argument before clapping and saying, "Okay, okay we've got a lot to cover today since exams are coming up, and seeing how you've decided to step up your game chances are your enemies will too so today we'll be covering your primary AND secondary powers and converting fractions, entirely in French." Aisling suppressed a groan and muttered, "You'd think that when I left that posh boarding school in Belfast I'd stop having te take French...." She removed her nice leather jacket and stretched out her arms and legs, mirroring her mentor as he shouted, "I heard that!" Aisling shared a nod with Plagg before shouting, "Plagg, claws out!" Adrien grinned and nodded to the snake Kwami that had been floating silently off to the side diligently preparing himself for the training.
"Sass, scales slither!"
(Meanwhile)
Stella stared at her teacher, who was still occasionally sniffling and muttering to herself in self-remorse as a small bee hovered beside her muttering affirmations like, "You've come so far my queen, after all now you command the respect that you have always deserved." Miss Bourgeois composed herself and looked Stella dead in the eye.
"My job here is to both train you for your extracurricular activities as well as tutor you so your job is to use your multitude of abilities to find the French to English flashcards I have scattered throughout this room without me catching you, be aware if I catch you I'll be quizzing you on everything I had you read in the last chapter of your book, so move quickly." She said earning a gulp from Stella who shared a slightly nervous look with Mullo.
"Mullo get-!" Miss Bourgeois cut her off asking, "Doesn't she need to eat something first?" Giving the British star a critical glare. Stella chuckled and shook her head.
"This adorable little glutton already ate THREE kiwis at breakfast this morning." She said tickling the mouse kwami's tummy affectionately. Miss Bourgeois blinked once and asked, "She eats kiwis?" Stella nodded and asked, "Why is that weird?" Miss Bourgeois shook her head and nodded to her kwami.
"Pollen eats cookies and croissants, nothing seems strange anymore." She said simply earning a laugh from her student. 'Maybe I should be proud of myself.....' She thought with a small smile.
"Now then let's get started! Pollen, buzz on! Venom!"
"Oh bugger! Mullo, get squeaky! Multitude!"
(Meanwhile)
Jacques squared up with Marinette in the large gym with a rock wall and large windows. The first time they'd ever gone to this room to train he remembered marveling over the idea that this had once been Adrien's bedroom, as well as feeling slightly jealous.
"Okay, today I'll be quizzing you on chemistry and testing your abilities with your fencing, keep in mind that if I hit you that's ten points off the quiz, if you fail, then you have to take a written test over in the class room." Marinette said in a serious voice as she smirked at the young man before her. Jacques nodded seriously and looked over at Tikki who gave him an encouraging smile.
"Tikki, spots on!"
"Longg, bring the storm!" Once the two of them had transformed Jacques immediately pressed the spot on his yo-yo to change it to the Bug Saber and barely missed his chance to block a hit from her sword.
"That's ten points before I could even ask you a question! Head in the game Jacques!" Marinette shouted bringing her sword crashing down on his head, this time he blocked it and almost landed a hit on her but was quickly blocked.
"Good, keep that speed up now, what's the most reactive substance on the periodic table?"
(Meanwhile with Aisling)
"Good, you're catching on to the range of your Black Holes, now let's try to use Black Storm
again, I know you're capable of it, I've seen you do it before." Adrien said looking down at a panting Aisling.
"Are..... are you mad..?! The last time I did that..... you barely got out of the blast zone.... all of PARIS barely made it out. I mean with my Luck alone I could bring this whole building down on our heads!" She yelled anxiously, her ears flattening at the prospect. Upon the word 'Luck' passing through Aisling's lips a candle fell over and rolled over to her leather jacket and caught a loose thread on fire.
"SHITE!" She yelled rushing over to stamp out the fire and attempt to salvage her, quite expensive, and emotionally charged article of clothing. Adrien sighed and placed his hand on his bracelet and said, "Second chance." His voice heavy with disappointment as he grabbed his student's shoulder and turned back time. Aisling looked at him reproachfully as he stared down at her with sad eyes.
"I think that's enough for today, let's go make our way to the classroom so that you can have your lunch." Adrien said and detransformed.
(Meanwhile)
"Well for a novice you seem to have great control of your ability, you remind me of myself.....when I was.....your.....age......." Miss Bourgeois said as she detransformed and immediately dissolved into tears. Stella detransformed and rushed to her side as Pollen floated over to Mullo.
"My poor queen, she's been like this since the reunion was announced." She said sadly as Mullo shook her head.
(Meanwhile)
"Not bad Jacques, but you're going to do better and give 110% from here on in." Marinette said as the two of them detransformed. Jacques panted for a minute as Tikki floated nearby with a worried expression.
"Why......... why would I need........ to do......that?" He gasped as he desperately tried to refill his lungs after going head-to-head with the guardian. Marinette crossed her arms and looked down at her student with a lofty glare.
"Your lax attitude was fine back when it was just the two of you, but since you and Aisling insisted on becoming a trio one of you has to step up and become the leader and it has to be you." She explained firmly jabbing a finger in Jacques' direction. He looked up at her, still gasping slightly but mostly recovered, and asked, "Why does it have to be me? I mean you've seen how much better Aisling is at taking charge." Marinette shook her head firmly and explained, "It has to be you, you're the strategist, you're the one who has to catch and purify the Akumas and Amoks, and above all else you're the one that I'm training to be the next guardian. You can't just shirk your responsibility because you don't think that you're ready for it, you convinced me to give away a miraculous permanently, that means you have to be ready to take command." Jacques flinched at her tone but couldn't find a point to argue so he just lowered his head and sighed. Tikki surreptitiously gestured for Marinette to encourage the clearly spiraling boy and the former superheroine immediately went to sit down next to him.
"I know that this seems like a big step for you, but I honestly believe that you're ready, and if I'm being honest with you, you and Aisling were right to bring Stella onto the team permanently. I'm proud of you for being brave enough to stand up to me about it and being so sure of your decision. When I had the chance to permanently allow Alya to keep the fox miraculous my first response was to question my decision and look how that turned out. You're already a better leader than I ever was, you just have to believe it." She said placing a hand on his shoulder as Tikki flew down and did the same. Jacques chuckled as his kwami nuzzled his cheek and Marinette smiled.
"Now let's go get some lunch, I don't know about you but that lesson has me starving!" She declared helping her student to his feet.
(Slight time skip)
"What now?" Stella asked as the three teenagers were ushered out of the Agreste's house so that they could get ready for the reunion.
"Well since I can't go home without my parents freaking out about the upcoming reunion and we have a shortened day so that they can get the school ready Ash and I were planning to head to the ice cream cart before it closes." Jacques said throwing his thumb over his shoulder.
"Sounds fun! I'd join you guys but I honestly think I'm going to go find Bridgette, maybe we'll meet up with you guys later." Stella said waving at them before running off.
"Right then, what's the craic, where'd he park the cart?" Aisling asked Jacques as he pulled his phone out.
"About half a block away at the old Ladybug and Chat Noir statue." He said showing her a picture.
"Great! Race you winner pays!" She shouted before running off with a grin. Jacques laughed and ran off after her shouting, "Hey, no fair!"
(Meanwhile)
Chloe Bourgeois was standing in front of the full length mirror in her small apartment frowning. She looked at her green, sweater-like top and the yellow button down that she wore under it with its cuffs and collar folded over that of her over shirt and her black slacks. She couldn't help but acknowledge how much she had changed from when she first started at Collège Françoise Dupont.
"Maybe I shouldn't go Pollen..... after all I was so horrible back then...." Chloe said as tears once again welled up in her eyes. The bee kwami floated up next to her head in the mirror and murmured, "But you've come so far my queen, the guardian returned my miraculous to you after all. Not to mention just look at how much the miraculous changed!" Chloe glanced up at the simple wooden hair comb nestled in her professional bun. It was no secret that the past twenty years had humbled her greatly but when Chloe looked back at her memories of her past behavior she was wracked with guilt.
"If I may my queen, what if you used this opportunity to make it up to all of the people who you wronged in the past? If I remember correctly your old friend Sabrina will be there, why not take the opportunity to apologize?" Pollen said encouragingly. Chloe fiddled with a yellow and black pendant and glanced over at a framed picture of her and her half sister Zoé. You'd have told me to go wouldn't you? She thought with a fond smile.
"Alright. I'll do it." Chloe said determinedly.

When Chloe finally arrived at the school she was immediately met by a sea of changed but familiar faces. After scanning the crowd for a moment her eyes fixed onto Marinette and she made a self conscious beeline for her. Chloe tried to keep her head down and not to attract attention to herself when a voice called out, "Chloe Bourgeois?! I can't believe it! It's really you!" She froze as every single pair of eyes that she had been trying to avoid turned to stare at her. Chloe slowly turned to find herself face to face with a tall woman with chestnut brown hair and cruel olive green eyes.
"Wow! It's been such a long time! I can't believe that you're here, you never really seemed like the 'high school reunion' types. Especially considering the way you used to act in high school." The woman continued with a disingenuous smile. As mutters began to fill the air Chloe's eyes raked through the crowd before landing on an all too familiar red haired woman who was staring at her aghast. Without any further warning Chloe took off and dashed off further into the school heedless of any voices calling for her to stop. Adrien and Marinette shared a look and he took off after his departing friend.

Chloe stopped by a wall covered in class pictures. She reached out to touch the glass of one specific picture, one from the worst time of her life. She stared at her own young, smug face and felt a wave of revulsion sweep through her followed by a torrent of guilt. So consumed was she with her own emotions Chloe did not notice the dark blue feather fluttering past her face to land in the picture that her hand was against. Her head shot up as she heard an oddly familiar voice echo throughout her mind.
"Chloe Bourgeois as I live and breathe. I believe that you already know who I am don't you?" Chloe growled and spat out the name, "Khaos." with enough venom in her voice to kill the villain in one stroke. Khaos chuckled and asked, "Now Miss Bourgeois, why loose your venom on me? I just want to give you the opportunity you so desperately deserve." Suddenly a white gloved hand passed by her head and plucked the class picture off of the wall. Chloe whirled around and found herself staring into a pair of spiteful green eyes peaking out from under the shadow of a midnight blue magician's hat. She raised her hand in preparation for an attack but froze as he tsked at her and said, "I wouldn't bother with that mon chéri, you see this is just a 'stand in' if you will. I'm not really here. Besides, you have bigger problems." Chloe gritted her teeth and shot a look at the class picture in his hands.
"What the hell does that mean?" She hissed before rearing back in fear as a roiling blue mass appeared next to Khaos' stand in and resolved into a hulking shape that cast its shadow over Chloe.
"We'll mon chéri, let's just say that the Earlybird gets the worm." With that the hulking monstrosity sent a hail of feathers at her as she screamed and raised her arms to defend herself.
(Meanwhile)
"What the hell Lila?!" Marinette shouted angrily at the the woman who had just sent her friend off running.
"Whatever do you mean Marinette? I was just trying to make small talk." Lila defended, her disingenuous smile never falling.
"Yeah right! No one believes your lies anymore, Chloe was clearly nervous about being here and then you just went ahead and called her out." Sabrina shouted from the crowd as people began joining in. Just then however a voice came calling out from the hallway that Adrien and Chloe ran into.
"There are Sentimonsters in the building! Get to safety!" Adrien called as he waved an arm at the crowd.
"Sentimonsters?"
"What is he talking about?" Murmurs ran through the crowd as Adrien approached.
"PLEASE LEAVE! HE'S TELLING THE TRUTH!" A young and all too familiar voice called from just behind him. Everyone blanched as they found themselves gazing at the teenage version of Chloe Bourgeois running towards them all in panic.
"Chloe!?" Marinette heard Sabrina gasp. 'Okay enough is enough.' Marinette thought as she set her jaw.
"Everyone get to the exit and head home where it's safe!" She shouted earning a glare from Lila.
"Who put you in charge? Last time I checked you weren't the authorities." Lila spat venomously.
"Lila there isn't any time for this!" Marinette responded urgently. As the two fought Adrien and Chloe went about directing people to the exits. When Sabrina got to the door Chloe gripped her arm and said, "This isn't how I wanted to say this but-"
"Chloe, I know what you want to say and now is not the time. I want to hear it from you the real you not some mock up of who you were." Sabrina said placing a hand on the younger girl's cheek with an empathetic smile. Chloe blinked back tears and nodded. Just then Adrien looked over at the two arguing women and yelled out as a shadow fell over them and they were obscured by a hail of feathers. There was the sound of an owl hooting accompanied by arrogant laughter as the sentimonsters flew over the gymnasium. Then, for a few moments there was an eerie silence as Marinette and Lila examined themselves. Then, in a shrill sound that more resembled a siren, Marinette screamed.
(Meanwhile)
Jacques and Aisling were walking along the Seine and chatting while their Kwamis covertly argued in Aisling's purse when their phones rang, the screens displaying the contact as Mistress Red. Jacques and Aisling shot each other a nervous look, knowing that she'd only be actually calling instead of texting if she was in personal danger. They picked up and were immediately met with the sounds of a hysterical Adrien.
"YOU THREE BETTER GET YOUR ASSES TO THE SCHOOL RIGHT NOW!"  He yelled Jacques, Aisling, and Stella respectively flinched at the shout. They were all so used to Adrien being at least polite so hearing him swear was enough to make them all worried.
"What's going on?" Aisling asked. There was a momentary commotion on the other end of the call before a young woman's voice said, "I got hit by a sentimonster that Chloe accidentally made and now I'm A FREAKING TEENAGER AGAIN!!!!!!" There was a long silence before Stella's voice came over the line.
"We'll be there as soon as we can....." Stella then hung up and bid a hasty farewell to a slightly distraught Bridgette. She made her way into the nearest alley and Mullo flew out of her leather jacket.
"First solo transform, how you feeling?" She asked Stella gave a confident nod as she replied, "Honestly? Stoked!" Then with all the enthusiasm she could muster Stella called out, "Mullo, GET SQUEAKY!" Stella's hands formed rock on signs as she made an "X" shape in front of her face as the light covered her body and formed her ears which twitched slightly and her mask. Then she brought her arms down into an air guitar flourish which produced her suit and jump rope which she snapped in front of her like a whip before lassoing it around her head, letting it wrap around her waist like a tail. Sunder made her way to the school and met up with her teammates. The three heroes headed inside where Adrien was talking to three teenage girls. They ran over to them and immediately one of the girls, a girl with raven colored hair and bright blue eyes, turned to glare at them.
"Took you three long enough to get here, we've lost track of the Sentimonsters." She said earning a confused look from Ladybird.
"Wait, 'sentimonsters' plural?" He asked earning a nod from another girl, this one blonde.
"I let my guard down and Khaos sent a duplicate of himself to control the other sentimonster." She said and slowly the three heroes started to realize who they were talking to.
"Marinette?!"
"Miss Bourgeois?!"
"Mrs. Lahiffe?!" Each of the heroes yelled as they looked at the three girls. Marinette facepalmed and nodded.
"Chloe was the first victim, Lila Rossi and I got hit by it while we were arguing, and Alya decided to distract them so that everyone could get out, unfortunately while we were making sure that she was alright the Sentimonsters got away....." she explained. Ladybird nodded in understanding and said, "Which way did they go? If we leave now the three of us can-" He was cut off by Marinette.
"No, not just you three, with two opponents you're going to need help. The three of us can help you deal with them, we may have been reverted to teenagers but we still have more experience with this." Then before anyone could argue the three of them simultaneously shouted,
"Longg, bring the storm!"
"Pollen, buzz on!"
"Kaalki, full gallop!" The three heroes, along with Adrien watched them transform and once they were done Ladybird asked, "Well I suppose that I can finally ask this, what is your alter-ego named?" He admittedly was caught between his excitement of finally learning what to call his mentor and his honest annoyance with how flippantly she had brushed off his decision to go off after the Sentimonsters. Marinette and Alya shared a smirk and looked over at Chloe.
"I'm guessing that's my queue to go first." She sighed and brushed her now black bangs out of her blue eyes that gazed at her students from a honey yellow mask. In fact looking at her Ladybird realized that Chloe's whole suit was honey yellow in some way. From the main body of the suit to the splashes of the color on the joints of her black arms and legs that shade was the predominant color.
"Call me Apoidea." She said with an almost shy smile. Miss Fortune blinked and laughed out loud when she heard her name.
"Oh that's gas! The miraculous of subjugation is being used by someone named 'worker bee'!" Ladybird and Sunder rolled their eyes slightly as they grinned at her unbridled laughter.
"You want to hear funny? You should have heard her old name the last time she had this miraculous." Alya chimed in, her now flame-like hair flying as she shook her head. Marinette grabbed the collar of Alya's matrix-style jacket and hissed, "Knightmare you promised not bring that up!" This caused Miss Fortune to stop laughing and inspect the journalist turned superhero. She wore a black matrix-style jacket over what looked like leggings with painted flames on them and matching gloves.
"'Knightmare' eh? Deadly." She muttered fist bumping Sunder who added, "Totally metal." Ladybird, who was honestly getting a little impatient as the guardian before him had only a moment before been rushing them to go after the Sentimonsters and was now simply shooting the breeze with her friends now that they'd transformed, shot an urgent look at Adrien to try and prompt an end to the introductions. Adrien got the idea and said, "Hey, m'lady, maybe you can finish that argument later on and introduce yourself to your teammates." She started slightly before nodding and turning to the other three heroes.
"My name is Shǒuhù lóng. Since we have the most experience we'll run point, the Sentimonsters went East, if we go now we can all catch up with them." She said sternly. Miss Fortune stepped forward and started to say, "If you have a more exact location I can use-" She was unfortunately cut off by Shǒuhù lóng and the other two veteran heroes taking off in the direction of the monsters.
"Save it Lucky, we'll need you to use Black Hole against the Sentimonsters." Ladybird said before following his mentor. The six of them headed off and found themselves on a rooftop across from Le Grand Paris where people, young and old were struggling to get away from a seemingly endless hail of feathers.
"Okay here's the-" Ladybird began.
"Here's the plan, you three go after the NotKhaos while we deal with Earlybird." Shǒuhù lóng said cutting her protégée off. Before anyone could dispute her decision she jumped into the air and tried attacking the massive owl-like sentimonster with her sword. It dodged nimbly and the Khaos stand in laughed at her attempt. Knightmare and Apoidea immediately followed her example, trying to hit the bird while it dodged effortlessly. Miss Fortune and Sunder moved to follow her orders but Ladybird placed his hand on Miss Fortune's arm. She paused and crouched down next to him and Sunder followed her lead.
"What's the craic?" Miss Fortune asked seriously.
"Look down at the crowd do you notice anything weird?" Ladybird asked. Miss Fortune and Sunder both squinted down at the crowd and Sunder shook her head. Miss Fortune raked her eyes over the scene before hissing, "Stall the ball... how come our classmates aren't getting changed?" Ladybird grinned and said, "I think the Earlybird's powers are conditional. If we can figure out what the reason for our classmates not being affected we can use that as an advantage." Sunder and Miss Fortune grinned at him as he pulled out his yo-yo and tried to call Shǒuhù lóng. He swore as she blatantly ignored him as she narrowly missed taking a hit from the Khaos stand in. They noticed Earlybird's hail of feathers stopped and Ladybird shared a nod with his teammates as they noticed it starting to circle higher over the veteran heroes.
"Sunder, you take Knightmare, I'll grab Apoidea, and Miss Fortune you get Shǒuhù lóng." The girls nodded and readied for his signal. Earlybird's wings raised menacingly and Ladybird shouted, "Now!" The three of them leapt off the roof and grabbed their respective veterans.
"Lucky!" He yelled and she held a hand out and shouted, "Black Hole!" A yawning void appeared in the building in front of them and they all sailed into it. They all crashed into the wall of an alley as they flew out of another portal. They all groaned for a minute as they got up and collected themselves. As soon as all of them were up Shǒuhù lóng grabbed Miss Fortune by the collar and slammed her into a wall.
"What the hell was that?!" She snarled. Miss Fortune growled so violently that Shǒuhù lóng felt her whole body vibrating through the gold claw-like tips of her gloves. Miss Fortune shoved her off roughly.
"I was following orders!" She shouted as her growl continued to rumble in her chest as her tail puffed up to three times it's size and her ears flattened against her head.
"Whose!? I never gave you any orders other than take care of that Sentimonster which none of you followed!" Shǒuhù lóng responded a growl rolling past her gritted teeth.
"Enough! Both of you! Don't forget that we're on the same side!" Ladybird shouted getting between the two of them.
"She was following my orders because in case you forgot I'm the leader of this team by your own assignment." He said shooting Shǒuhù lóng a pointed glare.
"I get that you have more experience with Akumas and sentimonsters in theory but you don't have any experience fighting Monarch and Khaos. They follow different rules than you're used to so you can't just expect things to work out the way they used to. When it comes to these fights we need to stop and observe before running in. We noticed that Earlybird's power is conditional and if we can ALL work together to figure out why then chances are that we can beat it AND NotKhaos." Everyone stared at Ladybird for a minute as he glared at all of his teammates. Miss Fortune moved to stand next to him and took his hand.
"What's the plan Birdie?" She asked softly giving him a trusting smile.
"First of all, Apoidea, you were the one who the emotions stemmed from so before we can proceed we need you to tell us exactly what happened so that we can figure out what the conditions are for Earlybird's powers as well as what item the amoks are in." Ladybird said stepping forward. Apoidea recounted the events that lead to her being attacked and Ladybird paused to think.
"Well it's pretty clear that the amok for Earlybird is in that class picture, if we can break that it's possible that NotKhaos will either run or possibly have his amok removed by Khaos himself." He said thoughtfully.
"As for how we should proceed Shǒuhù lóng, you and your teammates should go after NotKhaos, you're more used to fighting with people than actual monsters plus your powers are best suited for distraction and disarmament. Meanwhile Miss Fortune, Sunder, and I will deal with Earlybird since it's powers only seem to affect people from Apoidea's past." He added sternly leaving no room for argument. Everyone nodded and he grinned. As they all went off to do their respective jobs Shǒuhù lóng stopped him.
"I owe you an apology, it seems like you have everything under control, I'm proud of you." She said with a fond smile before heading off with her teammates. As the three veteran heroes jumped after the Khaos stand in the other three heroes began distracting Earlybird.
"Hey birdbrain! Did you hear the one about the cat who caught an owl?" Ladybird shouted as he wrapped up one wing with his yo-yo and Sunder followed his lead and wrapped her jump rope around the other. Just then in perfect unison Miss Fortune cataclysmed the massive bird as Shǒuhù lóng used wind and lightning dragon to distract and disorient NotKhaos before Apoidea used venom to stun him. Earlybird went berserk and threw NotKhaos off of its back and just as he started to fall Knightmare used voyage to transport him so that he was lying on his back on the ground.
"Think you and Lucky can handle this on your own?" Ladybird shouted as he prepared to remove his yo-yo from the right wing. Miss Fortune simply shouted swears at him as she held onto the back of the berserk sentimonster and Sunder violently shook her head. Just then a boomerang-like horseshoe came whizzing past his head and hit Earlybird in the beak just as the string attached to a spinning top wrapped around the right wing right next to his yo-yo and Shǒuhù lóng bounded up to join Miss Fortune and dug her sword into one of the cracks caused by the cataclysm on its back.
"Good thing they don't have to! You go cleanse the amok, we've got this one covered." Knightmare said giving him a thumbs up. Ladybird nodded and removed his yo-yo from the wing but before he ran over to the still paralyzed sentimonster he turned and took a quick video of Miss Fortune thrashing around on Earlybird's back with his yo-yo.
"This is so going on YouTube." He muttered with a grin.
"WOULD YOU STOP FAFFING ABOUT AND BLOODY LEG IT ALREADY!?" Miss Fortune yelled tremulously. Ladybird laughed and ran over to NotKhaos and, with some difficulty, was able to wrench away the class picture that he had clasped under one of his arms and smash it onto the ground. A dark blue feather came fluttering out of it and he opened his yo-yo, preparing to catch the amok.
"I've got you now you frightful feather!" He yelled as his yo-yo closed around the amok. He then snapped the string back into his hand and opened it once more, releasing a now pure white feather.
"No more troublemaking now, you hear?" Ladybird said as it floated away. Then he thrust his hand upward and launched his yo-yo into the air and shouted, "Miraculous Ladybird!" The magic ladybugs swarmed over the city and wrapped around the three veterans. When the ladybugs dissipated the three young heroes stood staring at three adult heroes, each looking resplendent in their suits.
"Well I have to admit I'm more than impressed, you managed to take out that sentimonster without ever needing your lucky charm, I can tell you with absolute certainty that Ladybug never managed that." Shǒuhù lóng congratulated patting Ladybird on the back. After exchanging congratulations the six of them turned to look at NotKhaos, only to find a feather in his place.
"Looks like Khaos isn't a fan of failure." Sunder said frowning.
"You have NO idea." Murmured Shǒuhù lóng with a shudder.
"Well there's no use in stressing about it now and we could all use some rest." Sighed Ladybird earning a round of agreements from the other miraculous users.
(Time skip to a few weeks later)
"I now I know that with the Sentimonsters that attacked during the last attempted reunion we weren't able to really do any of the planned activities and quite frankly I get the last thing most of us want at this point is to, ehem, reminisce." Stated Marinette from a podium that was set onto a stage that had been set up in the school gymnasium, earning a couple of laughs and one or two awkward coughs from her former peers.
"That being said one thing that I think we can all agree on is the fact that more than ever there is an award that should be given to one of us. This award goes to the person who has changed the most in the past twenty years. This award was voted on by all of us and we can all agree that there is only one acceptable recipient, and that is: Chloe Bourgeois!" Marinette called out smiling down at her stunned friend who had shocked tears racing from her eyes. After a bit of encouragement Chloe made her way onto the stage and hugged Marinette as she received the plaque. She squared up with the podium and took a deep breath.
"When I first came to this school I was a bully, I had been most of my life, especially to my now close friend Marinette and my former best friend Sabrina. I have hurt everyone here, hell I honestly caused more akumatizations than Hawkmoth himself," she joked earning a few scattered laughs, "I don't know how to thank all of you for somehow forgiving me, and I can't ever imagine how I could possibly repay my former misdeeds, all I can say is that I am TRULY sorry and that I can't thank you enough." She added wiping tears from her eyes.
