Joanna sat shocked. She had no idea how she passed; she mumbled words, she had nothing to say, and her test only took three minutes. Everybody else spoke strong! They took hours! How could've Jo beaten them?

As everybody was dismissed from the lecture hall, Joanna was called to stay behind, and talk to Mrs. West.

Mrs. West smiled as she say, "Congratulations, Joanna Weber. To narrow down the rest of the students, you are all going to have to report to the Main City tomorrow." She paused as if to check if Jo was still listening. "Tomorrow you will report to the school building with a small bag of personal items to take with you to the city. You are allowed to take three changes of clothes, and three personal belongs. From there on will be determined by our Peace Keeper and his faculty. I wish you luck." She finished with another smile. Joanna smiled back and nodded.

Managing to leave the school building was next to impossible. How someone could go from completely ignored to completely famous because of test scores awed Joanna.

If only everyday test scores could do this to a person. I'd already be famous! Joanna joked to herself.

As Joanna got home, she immediately started packing. Clothes were easy, but personal belongings... that was the problem.

The first thing she thought to take was a small wooden statue of an animal that her father made for her. She didn't know what it was, it had gone extinct hundreds of years ago. It seemed to resemble a very fat cat, with a long snout, and lines on his back. She faintly remembered her father saying something about... armor? An armadillo? Joanna had no idea. Joanna couldn't think of anything else; she really didn't have much. Joanna just decided she could go with one item. If the Peace Keeper had problem with that, then sorry.

With her things packed, Joanna felt prepared. She was about to leave her house for the night, but she woke up.

"You stupid thing! Get back here!" Joanna turned around to the smell of alcohol. "You want to explain how you happened to win this test?"
