Cape Fear

Lindsey's POV

(Lindsey's Superhero costume is the same as Scarlet Witch's. Her costume is simple but I love it.

"Are you kidding me? My life is ruined!" Phoebe complained.

Phoebe and I were looking at her tablet because her friend, Christie, was just awarded her superhero cape. Phoebe has dreamed of getting her cape and I don't blame her for wanting it so badly. It would be amazing to get a superhero cape.

"Aw man! I wanted to do that!" Max's voice came from behind us and I rolled my eyes at him.

"My friend, Christine, from Metroberg, got her superhero cape and had a cape ceremony," Phoebe informed her brother and showed him the tablet. "Look."

Max sat on the couch and picked up the tablet while Phoebe stood up.

"How am I getting my cape after Christine? Her superpower is superhearing, that is so lame." Phoebe complained and right then her phone beeped. She pulled it out and her eyes widened.

"Whoops. She heard that."

Fire alarms must be rough for Christine.

Max smirked and walked away right as the front door opened.

The rest of the Thunderman's walked into the house.

"Alright you two, go do your homework so you can enjoy the weekend," Hank ordered his youngest children.

"Cool." Billy beamed when he spotted the tablet.

"Nice cape!" Nora smiled when she also noticed Phoebe's tablet she had.

"Or do that." Hank shrugged.

"Aw, Christine looks so cute in her superhero cape." Barb smiled brightly.

Max's phone buzzed and he popped out from the kitchen.

"She says 'Thanks," Max told us.

"Her parents must be so proud." Hank grinned and he noticed Phoebe's expression. "Not that we haven't been proud of what you've been doing. Hashtagging, shopping, yoloing. Oh oh, you've been crushing it."

I can tell he's lying. Not by his emotion but by his face.

Phoebe smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Alright, I suppose if I've been chosen to focus more on superhero training then I've been getting my cape by now too," Phoebe admitted and gestured to me. "Lindsey as well."

I nodded my head. "Yeah, but my dad isn't a superhero so he isn't strict about it."

Or cares because he doesn't know anything about superhero related stuff.

"Just do what I do," Billy said and he ran out from behind the couch with a blanket around his neck. "Tie a blanket around his neck and say-" He jumped off the couch and landed on the ground. "Weeeee!"

I giggled and Nora went up to her brother.

"Weeeeee! Is also the size of his brain." Nora added and I rolled my eyes.

"These are special capes, Billy. The Hero League awards them to you." Barb explained to her son.

"Yeah, it's part of becoming a full superhero." Phoebe continued standing up and I followed.

"You also get access to weapons and later you get your hero name and a supervillain to beat up." I finished for Phoebe and I saw her eyes light up.

"I hope I get Max." She smiled.

"You can't handle all this evil," Max told her and sipped his juice box. He spits it our moments later and I rolled my eyes at the 'supervillain.'

Max nodded at us and walked away like nothing happened.

Dork.

"Maybe it's not too late. The Hero League still has two more capes to award this year." Hank told us. "I mean, not that I've been looking into it on a daily basis." He crossed his fingers and I smiled at the thought of getting a cape.

"Getting a cape would be awesome. I mean before we moved here it's all I dreamed about... that and ice skating with Channing Tatum." She informed us and stared dreamily into the distance.

"I've never thought about getting my cape until recently. It would be pretty cool." I nodded and Phoebe gave me a smile.

"I want a superhero cape!" Nora chirped.

"Me too!" Billy added and glanced at the blanket. "One without dad's nacho stains." He tossed it away.

"It's never too early to start you've just got to earn it through lots of training and showing admirable superhero behavior," Hank explained to us and my face fell for a few moments.

With Max as my boyfriend, that will be difficult but I can manage.

"Like catching someone when they fall," Nora stated. "Billy fall backward."

"Okay," Billy fell backward and Nora moved away. My mouth fell open slightly and we all gave Nora a look.

"Phoebe, Lindsey, where were you?" Nora asked us and Hank and Barb rushed over to their son who was on the floor.

----

I walked through the front door of my house and let out a huge breath.

Phoebe and I used our ice-related powers to save woodland creatures from a brushfire. It was exhausting but worth it.

I headed upstairs and into the bathroom. My face was dirty and so were my clothes. I washed my face and grabbed some cleaner clothes for me to wear.

My phone beeped and it was Max.

'You going to the party tonight?'

My eyes went wide in realization and I groaned.

I completely forgot about the party. My brother wouldn't care if I went but Phoebe's parents will care if she went.

I quickly texted Max back.

'Yeah, come pick me up?'

I set my phone down and picked out a cute outfit. It was casual but cute. Just some jeans and a purple blouse.

My phone buzzed and Max replied.

'Anything for you ;)'

I smiled at my phone and placed it down on my bed. I stripped from my current clothes and put on the other outfit.

Once I was dressed I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. I sat on the couch and waited for Max to show up.

Right on cue, the doorbell rang and I stood up.

"It's open, Max!" I called.

The door opened and Max walked in. I went up to him and we immediately hugged.

"I've been wanting to hug you all day long," Max told me and sighed into my shoulder.

"Me too," I replied and pulled away to arm's length. I leaned in and kissed him and he kissed back instantly. Moments later we pulled away and we let each other go.

"Shall we go?" He asked me and I nodded.

We didn't grab hands because Phoebe would be joining us soon. I hate keeping this a secret from her but I know she will try to break us up because she's told me herself she doesn't want us together.

Max and I headed to the school and Phoebe joined us at some point on the way there.

The three of us went to the south entrance of the school and saw a ladder leading up to the roof. It was a rooftop party.

"I'm really excited about the both of you getting these capes, girls." Max suddenly mentioned.

"What- Ohhh, let us guess, your 'excitement' is because you want access to the superhero weapons." Phoebe assumed and I chuckled.

"What else would he want?" I questioned and Phoebe scoffed.

"Lindsey's right, he's a list." Max pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me.

"Alright, fine, we'll put this in a safe place for you," I told my boyfriend and let it go so Phoebe could use her heat breath on it.

Max looked devastated by our actions and we gave him smug looks.

"Nice try." I patted his chest.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the ladder come lose and I got the twins attention.

"Guys, the ladder came off." I pointed. A student was on the ladder and was about to fall.

"That looks bad," Phoebe said alerted.

"I know, those chips are gonna be crumbs when he falls." Max agreed and I whacked his chest.

The ladder fell toward the ground and Max grabbed my shoulders, moving me back a little. The ladder suddenly froze and I saw Phoebe had used her telekinesis to catch the ladder from falling and saved the boy. Phoebe moved the ladder back up to the wall and the boy continued his way up to the roof.

He's probably confused about what happened. I know I would.

"Nice save." I praised her and she sighed with relief.

"You don't think anyone saw me do you, guys?" She asked and I looked around the area.

"I don't think so." I shook my head.

Max didn't reply and we turned around to see he had the bag of chips.

"Aww, baked chips?" Max rolled his eyes and tossed the bag way. "Should've let him fall." He motioned us to follow him. "Come on, I know another way up."

We had a great time at the party that night.

----

"Max!" I called and rushed down to his lair. I stopped when I saw him doing pushups and I mentally groaned.

Lindsey, don't stare at his muscles. Despite, how hot he looks.

He spotted me and winked. "Hey, babe."

My cheeks turned red and walked over to the table.

"Max, we have a problem with what happened last night," I mentioned, ignoring the hotness of my boyfriend.

He stopped doing pushups and hopped onto the ground.

"I know, we didn't get to kiss because Phoebe was around," Max stated and I rolled my eyes. Max purposely flexed his arms making his muscles pop and I tried my best to avert my eyes from him but it was hard.

"Max, I'm your girlfriend stop trying to impress me. It doesn't work anymore." I informed him lowering his obnoxiously hot arms.

"I know you like it." He smirked and I badly wanted to kiss him.

I have other things to worry about but when he does that it's so difficult not to kiss him.

"You make it so difficult for me to think straight sometimes," I muttered and Max chuckled devilishly. He placed his hands on either side of the table, restraining me from leaving, and my cheeks became a deeper shade of red.

"I can't think straight when I'm around you either," Max whispered in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. I bite my lip and couldn't control my self, I grab Max's face and kissed him roughly on the lips.

I felt him smirk against my lips and lifted me up onto the table. I have other things to talk about but I'm enjoying this way too much to stop.

My hands made their way into his hair and his one of his hands gripped my hair and his other wrapped around my back.

We made out for a few minutes until I remembered what I came down here for.

I reluctantly pulled away and Max was confused.

"What's wrong?" He asked and I shook my head.

"I came down here to tell you about-"

"Max! Lindsey! You down here!" Phoebe called.

I hopped off the table and Max moved away from me.

"Tell her no," Colosso exclaimed. I'm surprised he didn't say anything about what just happened.

"Lindsey, did you tell him what happened?" Phoebe asked me.

"I was but your brother decided to flirt with me instead and it bugged me," I responded and she rolled her eyes. I glanced at Max and he was smirking at me.

More like turned me on.

"Sorry, Linds, I should've come down here with you." Phoebe apologized and I shrugged.

"It's fine."

"Anyway, we've got a mess on our hands. Somebody recorded everything last night." Phoebe informed Max showing him her tablet.

"Including me bringing back the cabbage patch?" Max asked and did a little dance. We gave my dorky boyfriend a look and I stopped him.

"That not mess," I told him and Max playfully rolled his eyes. "This mess."

Phoebe showed her brother the video of her saving the boy on the ladder.

"Miracle wind saves rooftop partier." Max read as the video played. You couldn't see Phoebe but if Hank and Barb see this they will be suspicious.

"The video has gone viral," Phoebe exclaimed. "If mom and dad see it, they'll know it was telekinesis and realize I snuck out to the party. Then it's bye-bye cape for me."

Max rolled his eyes at his sister. "Mom and dad are like seventy-years-old they don't watch viral videos."

I heard footsteps and we turned to see Barb rushing downstairs.

"I just saw a viral video on the morning news. I'm getting your father and the four of us are gonna have a talk. You too, Lindsey." Barb told us sternly before she heading upstairs with a glare on her face and I frowned.

"I'm glad I don't have telekinesis," I stated.

Phoebe turned to her brother with a glare.

"You forgot about the morning news. It's the internet for old people." Colosso chimed in.

Max, Phoebe, and I headed upstairs. Hank and Barb joined us and played the video on the thunder monitor.

"Is that what I think it is?" Hank questioned as we watched the video from last night.

"Yep, miracle wind. Give it up for Mother Nature." Phoebe nodded and twins and I clapped but Hank and Barb turned to us.

"That wasn't wind," Barb denied and turned around. "Monitor play the inferred."

The monitor replayed the video and this time we saw telekinetic waves on the screen when Phoebe saved the boy.

"Telekinetic waves?" Hank said with shock. "Somebody better start talking.

"Wasn't me. I don't have telekinesis." I spoke with a smile.

"We know, Lindsey," Hank told me.

"Alright, fine, here's the deal," Phoebe spoke up as she stood on her feet. "Even though I did all those great things yesterday with Lindsey, you should also know that-"

Max stood up. "I saved that kid."

"Max saved that kid," Phoebe repeated and I stood up bewildered.

"Wait, what?" Phoebe and I said.

Max shrugged. "Sorry, it was me. I was the hero who saved that idiot."

Never thought I would here Max say 'I' and 'Hero' in the same sentence.

Their parents were confused. We all were.

"So let me get this straight, Max Thunderman saw someone in danger and saved them?"

"Seems to be what we're going with," Phoebe mumbled befuddled.

"Apparently." I nodded.

"On purpose?" Barb asked.

Now it just sees rude to question Max.

"Alright, I get it. You guys don't think I can do something heroic but I did." Max confessed hurtfully.

Hank pulled Barb away and moments later we heard a beep and music played. Confetti and balloons fell and a sign that said 'The phase is over' dropped down. The three of us were confused but Hank and Barb cheered.

"The phase is over!" They both cheered and went up to Max with excitement.

"We always knew you had it in you, pal!" Hank cried with happiness and kissed his son's cheek. Phoebe and I sat down slightly confused by the scene in front of us.

"Let's call the Hero League and tell them we have two teen heroes in the family!" Barb gushed out and poked her children before they ran off.

Phoebe and I stood up and I folded my arms.

"What are you up to?" I asked Max.

"I want to make sure that the both of you get your capes and in return, you'll give me access to the Hero league weapons," Max explained and I rolled my eyes.

"We already told you that's not gonna happen." Phoebe denied.

"Oh, then I'll just tell mom and dad that you snuck out to the party. Bye bye cape for you, Phoebe." Max smirked with a tiny wave.

Phoebe nudged me and I looked at her.

"What? My brother doesn't care if I went to the party he doesn't have powers, same with my dad." I explained with a small shrug.

Phoebe groaned. "Fine, you can play with one weapon for one hour."

Max leaped in the air with excitement. "Oh, goodie goodie!"

I giggled at him and felt my heart flutter. I love when his dorky, cute side shows.

Hank and Barb returned.

"The Hero League is excited, Max!" Barb exclaimed.

"At first they didn't believe it and hung up on us but then we called back and convinced them." Hank continued with joy.

"Alert! Alert! Incoming transmission from Super President Kickbutt." The Thunder Monitor popped up and Hank and Barb gasped.

"Super President Kickbutt." Hank gasped. "Phoebe, Lindsey this it! I told you she'd call! Be cool."

Phoebe and I linked arms and stepped forward with confidence.

"Hello, Thundermans and Ms. Earnest." Kickbutt greeted and we waved at her. Hank was just a little bit excited by her call.

"Hi!" Hank beamed.

"Lindsey, Phoebe, we're all very impressed by your recent run of superhero deeds. Truly exemplarily."

Phoebe and I were flattered.

"Girls, the both of you are gonna get your capes," Barb told us with anxiousness.

"And now, it is with great pleasure, that I announce the last two superhero capes of the year are going to..." Kickbutt began.

"Here it comes." I smiled as we waited with anticipation.

"Lindsey Earnest," Kickbutt announced and I clapped my hands with excitement and Hank, Barb, and Phoebe hugged me.

"Yay." I giggled.

"So proud, sweetie." Barb grinned and Hank patted my back.

I turned to look at Max and he was smiling at me. He winked and I turned away.

"And the final cape of the year goes too..." Kickbutt paused for dramatic effect. "Max Thunderman."

"Huh?" The four of us said and turned to Max we looked up from his phone.

"Did someone say my name?" Max asked.

I'm confused but so happy I got my cape.

Phoebe sat down with shock and I sat down with her to comfort her.

"Wait, so I'm getting one of the last capes of the year?" Max asked standing up. "I'm so armed! I mean honored!"

Phoebe stood up to protest. "There has to be some mistake. Check the name again, it says 'Phoebe' P-H-O-"

"There's no mistake. Max's unexpected act of heroism catapulted him to the second highest on the list. Lindsey is at the top of the list." Kickbutt explained and I felt a sense of pride rush through my body.

"-E-B-E." Phoebe finished still not believing what was happening. "As in Phoebe should get one of those capes."

"I will see you all at Max and Lindsey's cape ceremony. We decided to have them at the same time to make it easier." Kickbutt explained. "President Kickbutt out."

I video ended the screen went away.

Phoebe was upset and I went up to her. I rubbed her shoulder but she was still sad.

"Phoebe I know it's hard, but try to be happy for Max, like you are for Lindsey," Hank assured her and I nodded.

Phoebe blinked in disbelief. "You guys do realize for Max to save that kid he went to a party? At our school. On a roof."

For Max, that's normal.

Hank waved it off. "Ah, that's just Max."

"Well, the old Max." Barb joked and the parents chuckled.

"Good riddance to that guy," Max added and I turned to see he counting money from his wallet. Or Hanks'.

"Now if you had gone to that party, you'd be in big trouble, but you didn't." Barb continued and pinched her daughter's cheek. "Because you're a good girl."

"Phoebe pouted. "What about Lindsey?"

Barb shrugged. "Not our kid, not our rules."

"Now I can say it, Barb. All of our kids are good!" Hank exclaimed with happiness and they both cheered.

"Come on, we've got a cape ceremony to plan!" Barb smiled and they out of the room.

Phoebe and I turned to Max who was minding his own business.

"What? I did you a favor and now you don't have to lend me those weapons anymore." Max tossed his phone and stood up with a smirk. "Because I can get them or Lindsey can lend me them. You're welcome."

Phoebe wanted to strangle her brother but I held her back.

"Here," I whispered and used my fire manipulation on his butt. Max cried out and held his butt with his hands.

Phoebe let out a laugh and we hi-fived.

----

The following day was mine and Max's cape ceremony. I was hoping Phoebe would've gotten her cape but Max had to step in and take it. I feel bad for her I really do.

I got dressed in my superhero suit and it fitted just right. I haven't worn this in a while and I looked good.

(It's from Age of Ultron I believe)

After a long time coming, I'm finally getting my cape that I deserved after all my hard work of doing good superhero deeds.

I kept my hair down and just brushed it out. My makeup was light and normal, just mascara and lip gloss.

"Daniel! You ready?!" I called from my bedroom.

"Yep!"

I headed downstairs and saw my brother waiting for me.

"I have no idea what this cape ceremony is but I'm happy for you. Even if it means missing my girlfriend and I's six month anniversary." Daniel told me with a nervous chuckle and I stared at me.

"That's today? Daniel, you don't have to go if you don't want to." I told him feeling guilty about making him go.

"No it's fine." He assured me and I just gave him a look.

"Daniel, if this anniversary is important then go to it. This is just a cape ceremony it's not a big deal." I told my brother, patting his shoulder and Daniel gave me a soft smile.

"Thanks, Linds." He told me and we hugged. "Have fun at the ceremony. You earned it."

"I will and have fun with Daisy. But not to much fun." I teased and nudging his arm.

He rolled his eyes before kissing my cheek and leaving the room.

"Bye!" I called as I opened the door.

"See ya!

I left my house and made my way to the Thunderman's place. I walked into and saw Max sitting there by himself. He was in his superhero suit or just a super suit because Max doesn't like the word 'hero.'

"Hey, Max." I greeted. He turned to me and his face lit up.

"Hey Lindy." He greeted back and we quickly hugged. He kissed my cheek making me blush.

He still has that affect on me.

"You look great." He complimented, taking in my superhero suit.

"Thanks." I smiled. "You look handsome."

He scoffed. "This suit is so tight. I get so many wedgies."

I giggled. "You won't have to wear it for long. I know you have a plan to get out of this."

He smiled and brought my hand up to lips. "You know me so well." He kissed it tenderly before we walked over to the couch.

"Where's your brother? You said he was coming." Max wondered as we sat down together.

"He was but he and his girlfriend are going out because it's their six month anniversary." I informed and he nodded.

"Speaking of going out, how would you like to go out this Saturday night? We haven't had a proper date yet." Max asked me and I smiled.

"I would love to, but can it not be anything fancy? I'm not into that." I told Max and he smirked.

"Lindy, you know me, I don't do that fancy stuff." Max waved it off and I giggled. "How about laser tag and a movie at your place?"

"Sounds great."

Max and I work well together, despite the differences we have. We understand each other and don't expect the other to change. A superhero and a supervillain can be in a relationship.

——

Tim passed and the ceremony was going to start soon. Phoebe has come down and Barb was setting the refreshments and food. We were waiting for President Kickbutt to arrive.

Barb walked in with a bowl of fruit and she smiled at her son.

"Suck a help, Hero man."

I rolled my eyes.

"When I see a damsel in distress, I come running," Max smirked and Barb sighed happily as she walked away.

More like he runs right by and doesn't care.

Max gagged when she turned away and walked over to us with a cup of punch.

"Helping mom, huh?" Phoebe spoke. "Hm, maybe Colosso is right, when you pretend to be good you actually become good."

"Please, my heart is as black as ever." Max shook his head and I scoffed quietly.

I find that hard to believe considering how giddy he gets over one weapon.

As Max set his drink down, Phoebe used her telekinesis to move a coaster under his drink.

"Really? If you're still so 'evil' then why are you using a coster?" Phoebe asked her brother.

"I've never used a coaster in my life." Max scoffed, denying it. Max looked up and saw the mysterious coaster and sat down. "How'd that get there?"

Max removed the coaster and the Thunder Monitor popped up.

"Alert! Alert! Cable Technicians approaching."

Hank and Barb ran in with excitement.

"I know who this is!" Hank exclaimed and opened the door to reveal two men with a device.

One man set the device down and it scanned the area to check.

"Perimeter is secure." The man spoke into his communication device.

That's when President Kickbutt, a younger girl who I suppose is her daughter and other Hero League members walked in and stripped off their disguise to reveal their superhero suits.

"Super President Kickbutt always a pleasure." Hank shook her hand firmly.

"A tremendous day for the Thunderman and Earnest family." Kickbutt smiled and turned to the young girl and glared. "Simone, I asked you to wear your super suit."

"You're not the President of my closet." Simone countered and I smiled with amusement.

"Sorry about my daughter she has a bit of a dark side." Kickbutt apologized. "I'm hoping Max can inspire her."

"He inspires us every day." Barb smiled and looked at her husband. "Well, since yesterday."

"You're probably wondering where Billy and Nora are," Hank questioned.

"Who?" Kickbutt asked.

"Right, I'll let them know you insisted I bring them inside," Hank exclaimed and he ran outside. I felt a hand touch my thigh and I knew it was Max's because who else would it be.

Phoebe approached Kickbutt. "Hey, hey Super Pres, I love your hair."

"Max is still getting the other cape." Kickbutt quickly responded.

"Okay, good talk." Phoebe walked away and sat down next to me.

A few minutes passed and Kickbutt spotted Colosso in his cage.

"Dr, Colosso." She said.

"Evelyn," Colosso said and Kickbutt turned away annoyed by the rabbit.

Phoebe and I were standing behind the couch. Max was just sitting down minding his own business.

Simone was getting food and was about to walk away when Phoebe used her telekinesis to make her fall and Max caught her.

Everyone here clapped for Max's small heroic.

"Names Simone and I don't have a boyfriend." Simone flirted with Max and I glared at her.

"But I have a girlfriend." Max countered and stood her up straight and walked away.

I hope nobody questions that.

Phoebe and I followed Max into the kitchen.

"Good catch." I complimented.

"Your hero instincts kicked in pretty fast just then," Phoebe mentioned.

"Those weren't hero instincts that was my evil guy pretending to be a hero instinct," Max explained and Phoebe and I didn't believe him. "I'm in character."

"Or in the character in you?" Phoebe reinstated and Max shook his head with confusion.

"Okay, there is no way I'll ever be good." Max declared and eyed Barb's ham. "See mom's ham she's bee roasting for two days?"

He tossed it out the window with his telekinesis.

"Now would a real hero do that?" Max asked with a smirk.

"Holly flying pigs. Yes!" I heard Nora cheered and we turned to see both her and Billy were sitting outside.

"What the heck?!" Max said, walking closer to the window.

"Thanks, Max! You're our hero!" Billy smiled and they both act the ham happily.

"Look at that, even when you try to be bad it turns out good." Phoebe teased and I giggled.

"Nice try," I added and Max glanced from the window and us.

"No, that's not what I- I just-" He stopped stuttering and looked at us. He glared mainly at his sister. "Get out of my head."

Max stormed into the living room and we followed. Kickbutt had to two capes in her arms. One was blue and orange and the other was black and red.

"We gather here today to bestow upon Max Thunderman and Lindsey Earnest their superhero capes!" Kickbutt announced and showed Max and me our capes but Max glared.

"Not gonna happen President Stinkbutt."

Oh boy.

Max walked away and faced his parents.

Colosso laughed. "That's what I used to call her."

"Max, what are you doing?" Hank asked his son.

"I am not a superhero." Max declared and I felt myself smile a little.

There's my Max.

"Aw, he's got cape fear, don't worry it happens to all of us," Barb assured her son and grabbed Max's cape. "Come on, put your cape on for mommy."

"No! I am evil and always have been." Max exclaimed, moving away from her.

"And President Kickbutt here is going to take me to get some weapons." Max grabbed Kickbutt and pulled her towards the door. I felt hands on my shoulders and saw Barb was rubbing them.

She knew I was upset that the ceremony got ruined.

"You realize you're making a horrible mistake right?" Kickbutt asked him.

"Zip it, Evelyn." Max scolded and she stared at him in disbelief.

As upset as I am, that will always be attractive.

"Kickbutt!" Simone yelled and kicked Max. He launched into the sky and pieces of the ceiling fall on the ground. "Yeah! That felt awesome!"

The Hero League were packing up because Max had ruined the ceremony and I'm guessing mine will be rescheduled.

"Super President Kickbutt, my sincere apologises, my son's behavior was unacceptable." Hank apologized to Kickbutt.

"It was expected," I whispered to Phoebe who nodded

"If anything, the Thundermans are pillars of dignity and respect." Hank continued.

"AHHH!"

Screaming was heard and we saw Billy and Nora running into the house.

Hank danced around and beamed happily. "You two came in two seconds too soon!" He pulled out a trophy. "My record still stands! Too bad! So sad!"

Nora used her laser eyes on the trophy, burning it in the process and made Hank drop it. The trophy completed melted and Hank picked up the remains of it

Hank was horrified by it. "Oh, oh!"

"Too bad!" Nora teased.

"So sad!" Billy teased and they ran off.

"This place is a madhouse." Kick but spoke horrified.

"I couldn't agree more," Phoebe spoke. "So about my cape ceremony, should we reschedule or just roll into it right now after Lindsey's?"

"Lindsey's ceremony will be rescheduled and it will be a more private ceremony with just her and her brother," Kickbutt informed and I smiled softly at her. "And I'm giving the last cape to the person who just saved me."

"Wait, Simone?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhmm." Kickbutt nodded. "S-I-M"

"I know how it's spelled." Phoebe snapped.

Simone was smiling brightly at her mother.

"I will see you on Saturday at noon sharp, Lindsey," Kickbutt told me. "Super President Kickbutt out!" She snapped her fingers and a;l of them left without another word.

Phoebe attempted to say something but gave up.

"Mommy! I need ice!" Max whined as he walked back into the ice holding his butt.

"Don't mommy me! You just embarrased our entire family and ruined Lindsey's ceremony." Barb told her son with annoynace,

"Me? What about Phoebe? She's the one who saved that dumb kid from falling she's the real embarassment." Max confessed and I covered my mouth with my hand.

Phoebe cringed at Max and sighed.

"What was that?" Hank asked.

Phoebe turned to her parents and was speecless for a moment.

"Uh... Cleary, he is delaious from the butt tranma." Phoebe spoke, trying to make up an excuse by they weren't buying it.

They stared at her until she gave in.

"Okay, fine, I'm the one who saved that kid at that party." Phoebe confessed and Hank gasped.

"Phoebe, why?" Barb asked with dissapointment.

"Because he was falling?" She replied confused.

"No, I mean why'd you let Max take credit for your save?" Barb reinstated.

"I didn't want you guys to know I snuck out to the party." Phoebe responded. "Look I'm really sorry I lied, It's just that I realy want my superhero cape but I also want to be out there dancing on rooftops."

Barb sighed.

"You've been on more then one rooftops?" Hank questioned not getting her explanation.

"Hank." Barb said. "I got this." She looked at her daughter. "It's okay, sweetie. Part of being a superhero is juggling your hero life with your regular life. You'll get your cape, it will just take longer."

"Thanks, mom." Phoebe smiled. "So, does that mean if there's another rooftop party I can go?"

"Sure!" Hank agreed and stepped up. "As a matter a fact there's another happening right now on our roof. You can patch that Max shaped hole while Max sits here and watches and Lindsey enjoyes some ice cream."

"Ha." I laughed and Phoebe glared at me which made me shut up.

"Sits and watches? How is that a punishment?" Phoebe asked

"Max, sit." Hank said and Max sat down.

"Ahhhh!" He yelled in pain as he sat down. "My butt!"

I smiled at my boyfriend's pain and sighed.

That's my evil dork.
