━━━━━ JO-ANN WALKED THROUGHOUT the house, the windows opened allowing a breeze to fly through the house. A bright smile rested on her pink lips as she held her hands on her stomach. The year was 1984, it was almost June.

It had been eleven years since Jo-Ann and Conrad escaped Skull Island. In that time Jo-Ann had continued her work with Monarch, soon becoming a leading scientist. All while Conrad and Mason joined her side at Monarch.

During their time at Monarch Jo-Ann and Conrad had found the time and finally got married seeing as though life was truly precious and they didn't want to waste anymore of it. Conrad seemed to need a lot of convincing before he proposed.

It was mostly because he wasn't entirely sure how to be a husband let alone if he would be a good one. But soon enough with Mason's help, he found the right ring and proposed to Jo-Ann. The two were always met to be together.

They just didn't figure it out until Jo-Ann almost lost her life on Skull Island. After the incident involving the water; Jo-Ann finally learned how to swim. So if she were ever in a situation like that again or something came up she would be able to save herself.

After the two got married things settled down once again, however Jo-Ann felt as though she was missing something. Something that she knew she wanted to have more than anything. She loved her work at Monarch.

It made her happy but not as happy as she soon would become. Jo-Ann wanted to tackle motherhood. She wanted to have a son or a daughter or even both. She honestly didn't know if Conrad would want to have the same thing as her and she feared asking him.

Eventually she got the courage and asked Conrad if he ever wanted to be a father and to her surprise he did. So they started to plan a nursery hoping that in the next few months Jo-Ann would become pregnant. And soon enough it came true.

Jo-Ann was now days away from meeting her daughter. Conrad was so thrilled to be having a baby girl. Everything in their lives finally felt complete. Conrad was currently in the nursery adding some finishing touches.

Jo-Ann moved up the steps, she turned slightly heading towards the nursery where she saw Conrad painting some of the final touches. The new mother couldn't wait to meet her daughter, it felt like ages had gone by.

Conrad placed the paintbrush on top of the paint can and stood up from it as Jo-Ann walked into the room looking around at everything. She was happy with the colors and the baby clothes and the toys that had been either picked out or given to them.

"How are you feeling?" Conrad asked, walking up next to her.

"Happy." Jo-Ann replied, placing her eyes on Conrad as a smile appeared on her pink lips.

"Good, I'm glad." Conrad moved behind Jo-Ann and wrapped his arms around her large stomach. She placed her hands on top of his. "In a few short days our baby girl will be here."

"And then we'll finally be able to bring her home to this magical room." Jo-Ann added on.

"And she will be happy and safe. No one will take that away from her."

"Can you promise me something?" Jo-Ann rested her eyes in their daughter's crib.

"Anything."

"I want her to have the freedom to do whatever she wants, even if that means she gets grounded for sneaking out or bringing friends over. I want her to have a perfect life, and I want her to be in control when she decides what she wants to do with her life, even if she follows in our footsteps."

"We can do that." Conrad told her, watching the brunette turn in his arms.

"And no matter what, we love her unconditionally, and we accept her values and her eventual choice in groom or bride."

"I can promise that she will have a good life and that I will love her unconditionally."

Jo-Ann entangled her hands in Conrad's hair, soon placing her lips on his and kissing him passionately. Conrad soon did the same thing pulling her even closer to him.

A few days had passed since their conversation about their daughter's future. In the days that had passed Jo-Ann knew that she would be coming any day. They were in the hospital, Mason and a few other friends were in the waiting room.

After a few hours, Jo-Ann finally gave birth to her daughter, the new mother held her in her arms. Conrad sat next to her, looking at their daughter. Smiles rested on both their faces while happiness resided inside them.

"Theodora Jesse Conrad." Jo-Ann breathed out, still looking at her newborn daughter.

"It's a beautiful name, Jo. I love it!" Conrad replied, smiling at her.

"She's perfect."

The new parents still looked at their daughter as they felt as though their life was finally complete. Theodora would grow up with amazing parents that taught her everything they knew. Including the things they learned on Skull Island and in Monarch.
