(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes and immediately hear the waterfall.

Korra and I are wrapped up in the blanket.

She is currently asleep with her head on my chest. We did alot of celebrating last night.

Just then Korra wakes up and lifts her head up.

Y/N: Morning, beautiful.

She smiles.

Korra: Morning, baby.

Korra puts her head on my shoulder and cuddles up to me.

Korra: Last night was amazing. I still can't believe we're engaged.

I smile.

Y/N: Me too.

She looks up and we kiss.

Y/N: So, what do you think we should do today?

Korra: Well, I have an idea.

Y/N: Oh, yeah?

She nods.

Korra: Yeah. I think we should go to visit my parents and tell them about it.

Y/N: Yeah, okay. Let's do it.

I wrap my arms around her.

Y/N: But let's just stay here for a bit longer. I just wanna hold you right now.

She smiles.

Korra: Okay, baby.

She lays her head back on my chest.

Y/N: I love you, Korra.

Korra: I love you too, Y/N.

All I want to do is lay here with Korra for as long as possible.

(Thirty minutes later)

Korra and I are now getting ready to head to the South Pole.

We're all packed up and ready to go.

Y/N: Okay, have we got everything?

Korra: Yep, I think so.

Y/N: Alright. Let's go.

Just then we see our Dragon-Bird friend comes in and lands down.

Korra: And our ride is here.

Y/N: Looks like it. Good to see you, old friend. Thanks for coming back.

Korra: How does he know we needed a pick-up?

We go over to the Dragon-Bird.

Y/N: I don't know. I guess he felt it through our connection. I mean both of us have a strong connection to the Spirit's.

Korra: Good point.

She and I climb onto him.

Y/N: Okay, buddy. We need you to take us to the Southern Spirit Portal.

Dragon-Bird: (Growls!)

The Dragon-Bird flies in the direction of the Southern portal.

(Fifteen minutes later)

We've now made it to the portal.

Our Dragon-Bird friend lands down and we get down.

I stroke him.

Y/N: Thanks for everything, buddy.

Dragon-Bird: (Growls.)

After that he flies away.

Korra and I then go over the portal and walk through it.

(South Pole)

I immediately feel the cold wind hit my face.

Y/N: Well, we're definitely in the South Pole.

She giggles.

Korra: Yeah, we are. Come on.

(One hour later)

Korra and I are now at the Southern Water Tribe Palace.

Korra has taken her necklace off as we want to tell her parents without them knowing straight away.

Tonraq and Senna come out to greet us.

We hug the two.

Tonraq: Korra, Y/N, what a surprise? We didn't expect you. I thought you two were still on vacation.

Korra: Well, we decided to come back earlier and come to visit you.

Senna: How was it?

Y/N: It was quite an adventure. We had a good time.

Korra: We did.

Tonraq: Are you two alright?

Korra: Yeah. We're great, dad

Senna: How about we talk over dinner? You kids must be starving.

The four of us go inside to have dinner.

(One hour later)

So, we're all eating together at the table.

Korra: It smells great, mum.

Senna: Thanks, sweetie. So, I'm excited to hear all about your trip. And I just want to say, I'm happy you two are back together. You always made a lovely couple.

Y/N: Thank you, Senna.

She nods.

Senna: So, how was your trip?

Korra and I look at each other.

We then look back at them.

Korra: Well... it was... fun. Really fun.

Tonraq: Sounds... fun.

Korra: Actually, Y/N and I have some news.

Tonraq: You're not pregnant, are you?

Our eyes widen.

Y/N: No, no.

I look at her.

Y/N: Your not, are you?

Korra: No, I'm not.

I look at Tonraq and Senna.

Y/N: Yeah, no.

Tonraq: So, what's your news?

Korra: Well, you see...

She pulls out the necklace and quickly puts it on.

Korra: Y/N and I are engaged. We're getting married.

Y/N: We're getting married.

The two look at us for a moment.

They then smile.

Senna: Oh, that's wonderful.

Tonraq: Congratulations, you two.

We get up and hug the two.

Senna: I'm so happy for you two.

Korra: Thanks, mum.

Tonraq: I'm happy as well.

Korra notices something.

Korra: Dad, you have a worried look. What is it?

He sighs.

Tonraq: I'm just worried you two might be rushing into this.

Korra: What?

Tonraq: I just mean you two have just gotten back together and you're both still pretty young.

Korra: Dad, we're not kids anymore. Y/N and I are adults.

Tonraq: I'm just saying, have you really thought this through? Sometimes you get a little too excited and don't think these things through. Marriage is a big thing....

Korra: Wow, it's good to know how you feel now, dad.

Y/N: Korra...

Korra: No, let me say this. I thought my dad wouldn't have these reservations and just be happy for me. I guess I was wrong.

Tonraq: Korra, I am happy. I just...

Korra: No, I don't need to hear anymore. I was hoping my dad would just be happy and walk me down the Isle on my wedding day, but apparently not. Come on, Y/N. Let's go.

She drags me away and we go outside.

Her parents follow us out.

Senna: But you just got here.

Tonraq: Korra, please. I didn't mean to upset you.

Korra: Too late for that.

She and I head back to the Spirit Portal.

Korra is anger.

Korra: I can't believe him. I'm sorry about my dad, babe.

Y/N: Don't be. It's okay.

Korra: Why does he have to be like this?

Y/N: Hey, you don't have to worry.

I hold her hands in mine.

Y/N: I'll marry you no matter what.

She smiles.

Korra: Me too.

She and I kiss.

After that we decide to head back to Republic City.
