(Three days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

The past few days have been crazy.

Spirit Vines in the city started kidnapping people because Kuvira has been hurting Spirit Vines from a swamp.

Korra and I went to the prison as she wanted to see Zaheer, hoping to get past her mental block and get into the Spirit World.

Apparently Zaheer helped her get past it all and get into the Spirit World, which is surprising given I took his Bending.

And it seemed to work. Korra is now back to her old Avatar self.

Well, as much as she can be given what happened.

She was able to save Jinora and other's after getting back into the Spirit World.

We're now in a meeting with Raiko and the other's right now.

Raiko: The boarders are secure and troops are guarding the rail lines into the city. So, what have you two geniuses come out with to fend off Kuvira?

Varrick: It's a flying mecha-suit!

Asami shows Raiko the designs of the suit's.

Varrick: Asami got the idea from watching dragonfly-hummingbirds. You can take off straight up, fly in any direction.

Raiko: Where does the spirit ray come out?

Varrick: It doesn't have one. I'll tell you what I told Kuvira, that technology should not be used.

He stands up.

Raiko: It's already being used by Kuvira! I need Spirit Vine weapons and I need them now!

Y/N: That's not happening. It's too dangerous.

Korra: Y/N's right. It was Kuvira's harvesting of the vines in the swamp that caused the Republic City vine's to go crazy and grab those people.

Raiko: You're supposed to be the bridge between the two worlds. Why can't you harvest the vine's?

Korra: I won't do that, but maybe since the Spirit's love Republic City so much, I can convince them to help us defend it somehow.

Raiko nods in agreement.

Y/N: And I can help her with that. I can be very persuasive.

Korra smiles.

Korra: He really can.

Wu: Okay, maybe while the weapon geniuses, the Spirit bridge and the Air Master are getting ready for battle, we should be evacuating the ordinary citizens so that if Kuvira attacks, they won't be hurt.

Raiko: That's actually a good idea. Prince Wu, you work with the police to coordinate getting people out of the city. Now everyone get to it. I want daily updates.

We bow to him before leaving.

Korra and I walk down the hall together.

Korra: Thanks for agreeing to help me.

Y/N: No problem. Given what's going on right now, I figure you'll need help talking with the Spirit's. They're bound to be pissed about what's going on.

Korra: You're right about that, but you still have your "I'm worried" look on your face. What's up?

Y/N: I just feel like this plan to get help from the Spirit's might be a bit a long-shot.

Korra: I get that, but we don't have alot of options right now. Like you once said, "we gotta do whatever it takes."

I smirk.

Y/N: Yeah, you're right.

She smiles.

Y/N: What is it?

Korra: Nothing. It's just you're still cute when you're worried.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Oh, really?

She laughs.

Korra: Yep.

We leave the building and hear to the Spirit Wilds.

(Fifteen minutes later)

Korra and I are now in the Spirit Wilds looking for ant Spirit's.

We see one sitting on a ledge.

Korra: Excuse me, Spirit? Can we talk to you...

The Spirit disappears.

Korra: And you're gone.

We see more Spirit's disappear around us.

Y/N: Just like all the other Spirit's. Guess he's not in the mood to talk.

Korra: They're abandoning the city.

Y/N: That means they know what's comin'. I think we need a new plan.

After that we come up with a new plan.

(Thirty minutes later)

We're now back on Air Temple Island.

Korra and I are sat back-to-back. We're gonna mediate into the Spirit World.

I open my eyes and see that we're in the Spirit World now.

We stand up and see we're near the Tree of Time.

Korra: Spirit's, this is the Avatar and Air Master Y/N. Please, listen to us. Since I opened the portals, Spirit's and human's have lived happily together in Republic City. It's all I could've hoped for.

She looks to me.

I nod.

Y/N: We know you felt the effects of Kuvira cutting down the Spirit Vine's. But now isn't the time for you to flee the City. It's time got you to help us save it from Kuvira, who is perverting Spirit power to use it as a weapon against other human's.

A Spirit comes down to us.

Spirit: We don't get involved with human wars.

Korra: Spirit's worked with Unalaq.

Spirit: He was misusing Vaatu's power during Harmonic Convergence to force the Spirit's to fight you. Is that what you want?

Korra: No, but as the Avatar I'm hoping you'll cone to my aid to save the new world we all share.

Spirit: What you want is exactly what Kuvira wants. To use Spirit's ad a weapon in a human war. The answer is no.

The Spirit disappears.

Y/N: Wait!

One by one the Spirit's disappear.

I put my hand on Korra's shoulder.

Y/N: Come on, there's nothing more we can do.

She sighs.

Korra: You're right.

She and I close our eyes and reappear back in the real world.

Korra walks away and I go after her.

Korra: I really thought they'd listen to me and help us. We need the back-up, Y/N.

Y/N: I know and you tried, but it didn't work. Right now all we can do is hope whatever Asami and Varrick are working on is enough.

Korra: But what if Kuvira attacks before they're finished? What if it's not enough? What if...?

I put my hand on her cheek.

Y/N: Hey, hey. Calm down. Breath.

She breaths in and out to calm down.

Y/N: If Kuvira attacks, we will fight back against. We'll do whatever it takes, okay?

She nods.

Korra: Okay, okay.

I pull her into a hug.

Y/N: It's gonna be okay, Korra. We're gonna be okay.

Korra: Thank you, Y/N. You always know how to make me feel better.

I smile.

Y/N: You're welcome.

I just hold Korra to help her relax.

She's right about one thing though. We're gonna need some back-up.
