Y/N's P.O.V

So, Korra is gonna be coming in soon and I'm really nervous.

I mean I haven't seen her in two and half years.

I walk into the dining hall on Air Temple Island.

The other's are already here.

I go over to Asami.

Asami: Hey. You decided to come.

Y/N: Hey.

I stand next to her.

Y/N: Yes, I came. Partly, cause I know you'd never let me here the end of it if I didn't.

She giggles.

Asami: True, but thank you for coming. I know it isn't easy for you.

I sigh.

Y/N: Yeah, it's not. I thought after almost two years, I'd be okay.

Asami: I get it. You don't have to explain.

I smile.

Y/N: Thanks.

An Air Acolyte comes into the room.

Acolyte: There's a Southern Water Tribe ship pulling up to the dock.

Meelo & Ikki: Korra!

The two rush out of the room.

As everyone else leaves, Asami stops and looks at me.

Asami: You coming?

I sigh.

Y/N: Yeah, just give me a minute. I'll catch up.

Asami: Okay. Sure.

She leaves the room.

Seeing Korra again makes me think back to when I first visited after her fight with Zaheer.

(Two and a half years ago)

(South Pole)

Third person perspective

Six months after the battle with Zaheer, Avatar Korra has made much progress in her recovery.

Right now she and Katara wait for Y/N and Tenzin to show up.

Just then Oogi flies down.

Tenzin jumps down and is immediately hugged by Korra.

Korra: It's so good to see you.

Tenzin: How have you been, Korra? You look great.

Korra: I feel great. Wait, where's Y/N?

Tenzin: Well, he should be here any...

Just then Y/N glides in and lands down.

Lucky lands down a moment later.

Katara: Let's give them a moment, Tenzin.

He nods.

The mother and son then leave.

Y/N steps forward.

Y/N: Hey, sorry I'm late.

Korra: Y/N!

Y/N: Korra!

She runs over and jumps into his arms.

Y/N spins her around as he hugs her. He gently sets her down and the two kiss.

They pull away, but hold each other close.

Korra: I missed you so much.

Y/N: I missed you too.

Korra: So, you finally got the wings to work, huh?

Y/N: Oh, yeah. I did. Perfected them shortly after you left. And soon everyone Airbender will have 'em.

She smiles.

Korra: That's great. I'm proud of you.

Y/N: Thanks.

She looks down.

Korra: I've really missed you.

The Airbender puts his hand on Korra's chin to make her look at him.

Y/N: Hey. I'm here now. Let's just be happy and enjoy that fact that we're together right now.

He kisses her again.

Korra: Okay. You're right.

She grabs his hand.

Korra: Come on. I wanna show you and Tenzin how much better I'm doing.

She drags him along.

(Ten minutes later)

They're at the White Lotus training area.

Korra is sparring with White Lotus Firebender's.

She's definitely better, but she's to have something holding her back.

During the sparring she falls down hard.

Y/N and his father rush to her side.

Tenzin: Alright, the sparring match is over.

Korra takes off her helmet and I help her up.

Korra: I thought I was ready.

Tenzin: There's no shame in taking the time you need to make a full recovery.

Y/N: Dad's right, Korra. Things like this take time. You can take your time to heal. You don't have to rush your recovery.

Tenzin: Exactly. Being the Avatar can wait.

Korra: But what about the Earth Kingdom? I hear it's still a mess out there.

Y/N: It is, but things are getting better out there.

Tenzin: He's right. The situation has been stabilising since Kuvira took charge.

Korra: But that should be me out there fixing things, not her.

Tenzin: I know you want to help, but trust me, everyone has it all under control. I just think you need to...

She looks at him.

Korra: If you say, "be patient" I swear I'm gonna water-smack you in the mouth.

Tenzin's eyes widen.

Tenzin: No... I was going to say you need to... not worry about the future. Be great for where you are now and the progress you've made.

Korra throws down her helmet and walks away.

Y/N sighs.

Y/N: Real smooth, dad. Real smooth. I'll talk to her.

The Airbender goes after his girlfriend.

(Present Day)

Y/N's P.O.V

That day was the last time Korra and I saw each other before we broke up.

I go out to join the others.

When I get to the docks I see Tonraq and Naga.

Naga rushes past everyone and tackles me to the ground.

She then starts licking my face.

Y/N: Hey, Naga. It's good to see you too. Easy, girl. Easy.

She let's me get up as Tonraq and Tenzin come over.

Y/N: Tonraq, it's good to see you again.

Tonraq: You too, son.

He and I shake hands.

Y/N: So, where's Korra? I thought she was coming back with you.

Tenzin: Well, Tonraq thought she was already here with us as she left the South Pole to come here six months ago.

Y/N: What?

Tonraq: That's right. She told her mother and I she'd be here.

Y/N: Well, we haven't seen her. And I doubt the Avatar could wonder Republic City without anyone noticing.

Tenzin: That leaves only one question. Where is she?

Dad's right. That is the only question.

I look out at the endless ocean.

Y/N: (Whispers) Where are you, Korra?

I have a really bad feeling right now.
