(Three days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been three days since we freed the Airbender's from the Earth Queen.

They're now with dad at the Northern Air Temple, aside from Kai who's with us.

Right now we're taking a break as we've been in the airship for a little too long.

Korra and I are playing fetch with Wolf and Naga.

Lin: You know, while you two are playing fetch, four of the most dangerous criminals in the world are hunting for Korra. We should get moving.

Y/N: Lin, we're in the middle of nowhere. They're not gonna find us.

Korra: Y/N's right. Besides we just got here. No-one knows where I am except for us.

A moment later Mako and Asami come over to us.

Asami: Guys, we just got a call on fhe radio about another Airbender.

Korra: Finally, where are they?

Mako: A city called Zaofu, the home of the Metal Clan.

Y/N: Zaofu?

Mako: Yeah, you know it?

Y/N: Yeah. I've never been, but I've heard stories about it.

Lin: No! I don't want you going there. Korra, I'd rest alot easier if you were back safe in Republic City.

Korra: Sorry, but if there's an Airbender in Zaofu, then that's where we're going next.

Y/N: Great. Let's go.

We board the airship.

After getting Lin, Fang and Naga on board we take off and head to Zaofu.

(One hour later)

We've been flying for about an hour now, but we're now above Zaofu.

Bolin: Wow! An entire city made of metal. Nice. You should feel right at home, Beifong.

Lin: Hmm.

I smile.

Y/N: This place is beautiful.

The pilot brings the airship down and we land.

After that we leave the airship, but Lin stays on the airship.

We walk over to a man with two guards.

???: Avatar Korra, Air Master Y/N, it's an honor to meet you both. My name is Aiwei.

Korra and I bow to him.

Korra: Thanks for having us.

Aiwei: Is this everyone?

Korra: Yep. Just us.

Y/N: So, can we meet the new Airbender.

Aiwei: Of course. Right this way.

We join him and go down on a platform made of metal.

(Ten minutes later)

We're now on a tram that takes us through Zaofu.

Along the way we pass a statue of Toph Beifong. The first ever Metalbender.

Aiwei: That statue honors the first Metalbender, Toph Beifong, who expanded the possibilities of what benders were capable of. Here, everyone is encouraged to reach his or her highest potential.

Kai: Wow. That's awesome.

Bolin: Does Toph live here? Are we gonna get to meet her?

Aiwei: I'm afraid not. She used to visit from time to time, but years ago, she left to wonder the world in search of enlightenment. No-one has seen her since.

A few minutes later the tram stops and we get out.

Korra: Wow. Is this where the Airbender lives?

Aiwei: Yes, but first, her mother would like to meet you.

We walk into the hall and see a routine happening.

Korra: Is this some kind of combat training?

Aiwei: Not exactly. They are rehearsing for a dance premiere next month.

After the rehearsal is finished my godmother, Suyin comes over.

Aiwei: Allow me to introduce the matriarch of the Matal Clan, Suyin.

Suyin: Please, call me Su. Great to finally meet you, Avatar Korra.

She looks at me.

Suyin: And you must be Air Master Y/N. The Airbender Prodigy.

I smile.

Y/N: That's right. How'd you know that?

Suyin: Myself and many other people here know of your exploits. You've saved many people from Zaofu. Thank you for that.

Y/N: Oh. Well, I didn't know that. But you're welcome.

She looks to the other's.

Suyin: You four must be Mako, Bolin, Asami and Kai.

Kai: How did you know that?

Suyin: I make it my business to know who's visiting my city.

Korra: So, you're a dancer?

Suyin: Dancer, leader, wife, mother, collector of rare meteorites. You'll find people here have many skills and interests.

Aiwei whispers something to Su.

Suyin: Korra, why did you lie when Aiwei asked if there was anyone else with you?

Korra: What? I... I didn't.

I sigh.

I know what's going on here. I know that Suyin is Lin's sister.

Y/N: I think I know what's going on. Su, there's someone with us who doesn't want you to know they're here.

Suyin: Who?

Y/N: Lin. She's here with us.

Suyin: Lin's here? Really? I would love to say hello.

Korra: Wait, you two know each other?

Suyin: You're joking, right? Oh, Lin never told you about me. Neither did Y/N, apparently.

Y/N: Well, you know how Lin is.

Suyin: Yes, I do.

Korra: I'm confused. What's going on?

Suyin: I'm Lin's sister.

Everyone's jaws dropped.

Y/N: Yep. That's right.

(Fifteen minutes later)

We take Su back to the airship to see Lin.

All of us see Lin looking out of the window.

Korra: We found out why you were so against coming here.

She turns to us.

Korra: Why didn't you ever mention that you had a sister?

Lin: Half-sister.

Suyin: Same mum, different dad's. So what? We're blood, Lin. And after thirty years, the least you could do is say hello.

Lin: I have nothing to say to you.

Korra: You two haven't spoken in thirty years, how come?

Suyin: Ask her. I've tried.

Lin: Oh, don't put this on me. You're the one who tore our family apart.

Suyin: And you've done a bang-up job at keeping it that way.

Lin: You haven't changed one bit, have you?

Suyin: Look, we can stand here arguing about the past all day, but that's not the reason the Avatar and Y/N came here.

She looks to Korra and I.

Suyin: My daughter is thrilled to meet you both.

Y/N: Your daughter, she's the new Airbender?

Su nods.

Y/N: Well, I didn't see that coming.

After that we leave to go and see Su's daughter, Opal.
