Chapter 26: Helping Bolin

(Two days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

So the Northern Water Tribe soldiers have been in the South for two days now and things could be better.

From what I've seen things are getting tense between the North and the South.

Right now I'm just walking through the streets.

I look over and see spirits hanging around.

One waves at me and I wave back. Ever since Korra opened the Southern portal, I've been seeing spirit's.

And it seems like I'm the only one see them.

Just then I hear some call out to me.

Bolin: Y/N! I'm so happy to see you!

I see Bolin running over to me and grabs my shoulders.

Y/N: Hey, man. You okay?

Bolin: No! No, I'm not okay. I can't take it anymore. I don't wanna live in icy bliss with Eska!

He puts his head on my chest.

Bolin: Don't make me! Please don't make me.

He pulls away.

Y/N: Look, if you're that unhappy, then just break up with her.

Bolin: Break up with her? You can do that?

Y/N: Yeah. Guys do it all the time. And girls do it too.

Bolin: How?

Y/N: Just tell her you're not that into her anymore and that you think the two of you should break up.

Bolin: Oh, no. I don't think she'd like that, Y/N. She's very scary.

Y/N: Bolin, ending a relationship is kinda like pulling off a bloodsucking leech. You just gotta rip it off and get it over with. You'll feel alot better afterwards. Trust me.

Bolin: Thanks, Y/N. I'm lucky you're such a ladies man. Korra better watch out.

I glare at him.

Y/N: Shut up.

Bolin: Right. Sorry.

Y/N: Just because you're good with girls, doesn't mean you're a ladies man.

Bolin: Right. Got it.

Y/N: Look, I gotta go. I told Korra I'd meet with her back home. Good luck.

Bolin: Thanks.

I walk away.

(Three hours later)

So I'm now back where Korra and I are staying.

She should've been here by now though.

I walk out of the hut.

Just then I see Korra ride up on Naga.

So I go over to greet her.

Y/N: Hey, babe. How was your day?

She gets off Naga's back.

Korra: Oh, fabulous. My Tribe's about to go to war and I'm supposed to stop it, but will anyone listen to me? No! And I didn't ask for my father's help, can't he just let me be the Avatar?

Y/N: Uh... do you want my advice or am I just supposed to listen? I'm still not clear on that.

She sighs.

Korra: I'm sorry, babe. My dad just gets me all worked up sometimes.

I gently grab her and hold her close.

Y/N: How about you take a break from all this Avatar stuff and we just spend some quality time together? Then maybe we can go out for a quiet dinner tonight, just the two of us.

She smiles and wraps her arms around my neck.

Korra: Yeah, that'd be great. It feels like forever since we've spend some alone time together. Recently it's been hard for us to be alone for longer than ten seconds.

We start kissing.

Korra then pulls away and grabs my hand.

Korra: Come on.

Y/N: What's going on?

She takes me towards the hut.

Korra: Well, we've got some alone time and I want to make the most of it.

Y/N: Okay.

We go into the hut and start making out.

As it gets more heated we start taking off each other's clothes.

We fall back onto the bed and spend some "time" together.

(Two hours later)

Third person perspective

As Y/N and Korra nap in bed together, Y/N moves around in his sleep.

In his dreams images fly through his mind.

He sees beams of energy colliding, he sees himself glowing bright yellow.

And finally he sees Avatar Aang.

Y/N's P.O.V

I gasp as I wake up from a weird dream.

I look over to see that Korra is still asleep with her head on my shoulder and arm across my chest.

So, I gently move her and kiss her forehead before sitting up.

Y/N: (Whispers) What the hell was that?

It's almost like my dream was trying to tell me something.

(One hour later)

So Korra and I are now going out to dinner, but it hasn't exactly gone to plan.

We're having dinner with Bolin, Eska and Desna.

Bolin: Isn't this fun, huh? We never get to spend enough time together, just the five of us. So fun.

Eska: Excuse us while we retrieve more sustenance.

Eska and her brother leave.

Bolin: You guys gotta save me.

Y/N: I thought you were gonna break up with her. What happened to ripping off the leech?

Bolin: I tried. But every time I bring up the subject, she threatens to freeze me in a block of ice and feed me to dolphin-piranhas!

Y/N: So it was more like you tugged at the leech. You moron.

Bolin: Yes, over and over again, but it won't come off.

He looks at Korra.

Bolin: Why didn't you warn me that your cousin had the power to reach into my heart and crush my soul with her bare hands?

Korra: Cause I thought it was pretty obvious.

Bolin: No, no. Not to me it wasn't. I'm very bad at reading people. You should know that by now. Oh, man! Do something, Avatar!

I lean towards Korra.

Y/N: (Whispers) We should've gone to dinner with Mako and Asami when we had the chance.

Korra: (Whispers) Tell me about it. This really gonna drag.

Y/N: (Whispers) Okay, if it gets really bad I'll fake being sick so we can get out of this.

Korra: (Whispers) Aw, that's sweet. Thank you.

(Thirty minutes later)

So it got to the point where I had to fake being sick. It got us out of there.

Korra and I are now walking hand-in-hand back to our hut.

Korra: Good job back there. I'm so glad that's over.

Y/N: Thanks. I'm sorry about all that. I promise I'll make it up to you when we get back to Republic City. That's assuming we can stop this civil war from happening.

Korra: Thank you. I just hope I can stop it.

Y/N: Well, you don't have to hope. Because I know you can.

She smiles.

Korra: Thanks.

She and I continue walking back to our hut.
