(Three days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been three days since we lost Air Temple Island and since then we've been living underground to stay hidden from the Equalist's.

Korra and I have been undercover as Equalist's so we can still know what's going on in the city.

We are now back in the sewers after hearing Sato's speech to the Equalist forces.

She and I take off our masks.

Korra: Can you believe Hiroshi? "The Avatar's on the run." I'm not running from anyone.

She looks at me.

Korra: I say you and I go back up there and knock some heads. They'll never know what hit 'em.

Y/N: Relax. Iroh is coming with an entire fleet of battleships. Then Amon will be the one running.

She sighs.

Korra: I hate this "being patient" stuff.

Y/N: Me too.

We turn back and keep walking.

Korra: So, do you know General Iroh well?

Y/N: Yeah, I do. I met him when I was a kid. He always looked out for me.

Korra: Like an older brother?

Y/N: Yeah, exactly.

She and I head back to our new home underground.

(Ten minutes later)

We make it back and see Mako, Asami and Bolin waiting for us.

They come over.

Asami: You two were gone a while.

Y/N: We would've been back sooner, but so many of 'em up there.

Mako: Are you two okay?

Korra: Yeah, we're fine.

After that Korra, Asami and Bolin walk off leaving Mako and I.

Y/N: Hey, man, so how's it going with Asami? You guys doing okay?

Mako: Yeah, we're good, well as good as we can be given the circumstances.

Y/N: That's great, Mako.

Mako: Thanks. So, what's going on with you and Korra? You tell her how you feel yet?

I sigh.

Y/N: Nah, not yet. We've got enough problems right now. My love life isn't one of them.

I look down.

Mako: You okay?

I look back to him.

Y/N: When I found out Korra was missing... I felt like I lost apart of myself. I was so scared I'd never see her again.

Mako: Yeah, I noticed that.

Y/N: I just don't wanna risk losing her when she goes up against Amon.

Mako: Maybe she'll be better off if you go with her to face Amon.

I nod.

Y/N: Maybe.

After that he and I go and join the other's.

(Three hours later)

Right now everyone is asleep, but I can't sleep.

I get up to and I see Korra laying against Naga wide awake.

I go over to her.

Y/N: You can't sleep either, huh?

I sit down next to her.

Korra: No, I have this awful pit in my stomach.

Y/N: Me too.

Korra: It's so crazy. A few months ago I was in the South Pole, practising for my Firebending test. Now I'm in the middle of an all-out war.

Y/N: Yeah. I mean back then we hadn't seen each other for five years.

I sigh.

Y/N: Korra, before anything happens tomorrow, I just want you to know something. I can't imagine my life without you in it. You're the most loyal, brave and selfless person I've ever known.

She smiles.

Korra: I think you're pretty incredible too, but you already knew that.

Y/N: Well, if you want to say it more then you can.

She chuckles.

Korra: And you always know how to make me laugh.

I put my hand on her cheek.

Y/N: You're so beautiful, Korra.

Korra: Y/N, I...

I lean in and kiss her and I feel her kiss me back.

A moment later we pull away.

Y/N: I'm sorry, I shouldn't have...

Korra: Just kiss me again.

I smile and lean back in for another kiss.

I then pull away.

Korra: Wow. I can't tell you how long I've wanted to do that.

I smile.

Y/N: Korra, there's some much I wanna tell you. I...

She puts her hand on my cheek.

Korra: And I want to hear all of it. I have so much I wanna tell you as well, but let's wait until after the fight.

I nod.

Y/N: You're right. We'll wait until after the fight.

Korra: We should probably try to get some sleep.

Y/N: Yeah, good idea. Goodnight, Avatar Korra.

Korra: Goodnight, Air Master Y/N.

I smile.

After that I get up and go to get some sleep.

(The next day)

Today is the day that General Iroh and his fleet is supposed to arrive.

Right now Korra, Mako, Asami, Bolin and I are outside waiting for them to show up.

Korra: Once the United Forces arrive we need to be ready to help in any way we can.

Y/N: We'll be ready.

Mako: Okay, they're here.

I look through my binoculars and see the battleships come into view.

Y/N: Perfect timing, Iroh.

Korra: Wait a second. Where are the Equalist's Airships?

I stand up.

Y/N: I got a bad feeling about this.

Mako looks through Bolin's telescope.

Mako: I don't see any Mecha-Tank's either.

Just then there's an explosion out there and more follow it.

It was a trap from the start.

Y/N: Iroh!

I use Airbending to shoot myself into air and fly over to the battleships.

As I get closer I turn back to see Equalist's planes.

They come in fast and start dropping bombs to hit the battleships.

I see a plane coming at me, but I quickly blast it with Airbending and send it crashing into the water.

Y/N: Yeah! Take that! Haha!

I then see Korra come up from the water in a whirlpool. She starts taking the planes down.

After that I head over to Iroh when I see him, but before I could get to him he gets blasted by three planes.

The blast sends him crashing into the water.

Y/N: No!!

I dive down into the water and grab him. I then bring him back up to the surface.

He looks back at me.

Iroh: Y/N, you're here.

Y/N: Yeah, I couldn't leave my brother hanging.

Iroh: Thanks, Lil Bro. I owe you one.

Y/N: You owe me alot more than one, Iroh.

I use Airbending to push us back so we can get back to the other's.

Looks like the attack from the United Forces failed.
