Lindsay's POV

Once we walked in an owl flew in with our Hogwarts letters. I knew they expected an owl no later then the day of my birthday but we're the Weasleys. I took my letter from Mum and opened it.

Man he has a lot of jobs.

Dear Ms. Potter,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.Yours sincerely,

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robe (black)

2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (Dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring, if they desire, an owl OR a cat OR a toad.

I couldn't believe I was going to Hogwarts. I was so excited but that would mean Ginny was here by herself. Then something fell onto the table. It was a Gringotts vault key. The number was 687. It must be the Potter vault key.

Mum had us all get dressed so we could go to Diagon Alley. We all flooed to the Leaky Cauldron where we met Remus.

"She knows," Remus asked.

"Yeah we were all told this morning," I said.

Remus nodded and we all headed off to Gringotts. Remus offer to go with me to my vault but I wanted Ginny and the twins to come along. Mum agreed so Ginny, Remus, the twins, and I headed to vault 687. When it opened I couldn't believe how much money was in it.

"Remus I can't," I said.

"Rosie it's your money," Fred said.

"Still I can't do it. It doesn't feel right to take any of it," I said.

"Canary we may be a poor family but you know Mum and Dad won't accept money from you," Ginny said.

"I know," I said with a sigh.

Remus filled a pouch with money for me and gave it to me. We go back to where we entered and met the others there. We headed to Madam Malkin's first where Percy and me would be fitted into new robes. Percy got Prefect so he was getting new stuff and he was getting a pet of his choice. I didn't particularly like this because I was worried I'd become a pin cushion. Once that was finished we headed to Flourish and Blott's for books. I got all of the books and then some. I even got a journal to write stories in for Ginny. After that we were going to the Apothecary but I needed to get Ginny something.

"Mum I need to go somewhere," I said looking at Ginny.

"Alright dear. Remus will go with you," Mum said in understanding.

I walked away with Remus. 

"So, where are we going," Remus asked.

"I want to get Ginny something that she can call me with," I said.

"I had something like that with your father," Remus said.

"Can we please not talk about this," I asked.

"Of course kiddo," Remus said.

Remus took me to a store where I bought two holographic rings that if one of us called the other we'd see a holographic image of each other. One of us just had to say the others name. We walked back to the others.

"Next stop Ollivander's for you missy," Mum said.

"Why do Lindsay and Percy get new things," Ron asked.

"Because I have money to buy my own things and perfect Percy made Prefect," I answered for Mum.

We walked into Ollivander's.

"Hello," I said.

There was a bang and a man on a sliding ladder looked at me.

"A Weasley," he asked.

"No sir I'm a Potter," I said.

"I wondered when I'd see you Ms. Potter," he came over to me and started measuring me.

"Right hand," I said before he asked.

"It seems only yesterday that you mother and father were in here buying their first wands. Your brother was here yesterday getting his first wand," he said as he pulled a box of a shelf and brought it back.

He opened the box and handed me the wand.

"Give it a wave," he said.

I did and I broke a vase. This happened a few other times until he held a box.

"I wonder," he whispered.

He walked over and hand me the wand. When I took it I felt a power as I've never felt before.

"Curious. Very curious," he said.

"What's curious sir," I asked.

"I remember every wand I ever sold and made Ms. Potter. Your brother was destined for a wand that is the brother of the wand that gave him his scar. It's curious that you are destined for a wand that shares a connection with your parents wands with unicorn hair and Dragon heart string. Your wand also has a hair from your Grandmother Euphemia and a phoenix feather," he said.

"Then what's so curious," I asked.

"Your parents protected you with their love and did great things. Your grandmother did great things as well. I'm pretty sure we can expect great things from you and your brother," he said. 

I paid him and we left. We went to Eeylops Owl Emporium next. I got what I needed for Snow and Percy got a new owl which he named Hermes. Over all it was a pretty good day.
