Chapter 2

Sorry for the longest wait in history, I have multiple accounts and kinda forgot this one existed. :') Also, I saw someone put music videos for every chapter and I like it so I'm stealing it. I can't remember who it was because I forgot to add their story to my library. Anyways the song is 'Car Radio' by Twenty one Pilots.

The Dursleys were true to their word and the Potter boys weren't let out of the cupboard until the beginning of summer holiday. Harry was glad that the school year was over, Percy was too, but he loved to learn so he still read his textbooks that he 'forgot' to return. They never figured out it was him, although, he thinks the teacher knew but didn't want to rat out a kid who just wanted to learn at his own pace. Of course, they still got pushed around by Dudley and his 'friends', but Percy didn't really mind. Harry and Percy usually were never in the house. Considering that they no longer had to attend school, they had much more time to complete their chores, and Aunt Petunia gave them a bit of slack, secretly, of course. Percy showed Harry some of his favorite spots. Harry never questioned how he knew of them, considering he knew of his nightly adventures. The first time he woke up without him in the room he totally freaked out, thinking Vernon finally split them up. He nearly ran out to somehow find the car that took his brother, until he heard a faint voice. It was his brother. He had never felt so much relief in his life. He listened for a while until he realized he was intruding and went back to their cupboard. Everyone deserves their own privacy, no matter how little. They were currently residing in a secret grove of trees in a nearby park. It was nice and shady and nobody else was their. Harry was thinking about September when they'd start in Stonewall High and Dudley would go to Smeltings, where Vernon went. "Hey Perce?" Harry questioned. "Hmm." Percy indicated his attention. "Are you excited for Stonewall?" "Yeah, we get away from Dudley. We can actually possibly make friends." he answers, opening his once closed eyes and glancing at Harry. "You're right." harry smiled. "When am I not?" He sasses lightly. Harry just rolls his eyes and smiles at his brother. "We better go, its nearly time for lunch." Percy says while standing up and wiping his way too big pants. Percy had a great way in knowing time. He held out a hand to help Harry.

Percy mainly ignored Dudley and Harry's short conversation during lunch, knowing Dudley was feeding them false information. Harry quickly stood and dragged Percy out the door after he must've made a nasty comment towards Dudley. They continued to walk the neighborhood leisurely, Percy occasionally pointing out when a neighbor changed something about their house.

About a week afterwards, Aunt Petunia and Dudley left for London to get Dudley a uniform, leaving the Potter twins with Mrs. Figg. Her leg was still broken, which actually happened because of one of her cats. She doesn't seem to like them as much before. Percy was pretty allergic to cats but that didn't stop him from cooing and having approximately ten cats on him. The Dursley's never gave him allergy medicine so he suffered not so silently, considering he sneezed every five seconds. At least it wasn't an obnoxious sneeze, it was actually kind of like a pug sneeze. They also got to watch television and pick what they wanted, even though she didn't have cable so there wasn't that many options. She even gave them cake, it may have been three years old, but it was still appreciated. Later, when the Dursley's returned, Dudley held a fashion show with his new uniform. Petunia and Vernon were clapping excitedly because 'their little Dudleykins was growing up so fast' while Percy and Harry were clapping halfheartedly because Vernon sent them a glare that promised punishment if they didn't.  Percy and Harry couldn't look at each other in fear that they'd burst out laughing if the made eye contact.  It wasn't their fault that Dudley looked so ridiculous, let's just say that maroon isn't Dudley's color.

The next morning Percy was awakened by a horrible, acidic smell.  He got put of bed and changed.  He let Harry sleep in and went to the kitchen to help with breakfast and possibly found out where the assaulting smell was coming from.  When he got to the kitchen he found the probable source of the smell.  A huge metal tub with rags and murky grey water as its contents.  Petunia was there and against his better judgement he asked, "What's this?"  Petunia glared at him for daring to ask a question, and Percy flinched.  To his surprise, instead of getting a berating Pentunia just answered his question,  "It's your's and Harry's school uniform.  I\m dying some of Dudley's old clothes.  It'll be the same as the uniform store's when I'm done with it."  Percy highly doubted that, but didn't say anything else.  He already pushed too many of her buttons and it was barely 9:30.  Harry walked in with Vernon and Dudley close behind.  Dudley carried his uniform stick with him.  He never put it down in case he had a chance to hit either of the twins with it.  Percy already has multiple bruises from it and he's sure Harry does as well.  Harry sat next to Harry and shot him a questioning look then looked at the pot.  "It's our school uniform.  P-Aunt Petunia is dying it for us."  Percy stumbled over himself because he almost said Petunia instead of Aunt Petunia, he's done it a couple of times and each time he get's it worse than the last.  It was 'disrespectful' according to Vernon.  There was a noise from the living room which signaled the mail's arrival.  Vernon told Dudley to get it who, then made Harry get it by whacking him with the stick.  Percy spoke  up, "isn't that for your classmates?"  "It's for whoever I want it to be for, dummy."  Dudley looked proud of his comeback and then promptly swung at Percy's head, he blocked it with his arms, but it still really hurt.  Petunia and Vernon failed to notice the breaking of the rule 'no hitting at the table'.  Harry returned with the mail and handed most of it to Vernon.  He kept two letters.  Percy was about ask why, but Dudley's big mouth beat him as he shouted to Vernon to get his attention to Harry's letters, "DAD, Harry's got something!"  Vernon snatched it from Harry right before he could read it, "Hey!  That's mine!"  Harry shouted in frustration as he tried to take it out of Vernon's firm grasp.   Uncle Vernon just pulled it out of Harry's grasp and laughed darkly, "Who'd ever write to you?"  His mocking was stopped short when he saw who it was from, "Petunia!"  he exclaimed.  "I want to read MY letter!"  Harry voiced his thoughts.  Percy had stood up next to Harry to tr and tug him away.  He could tell that Vernon was getting scared, which could be worse than when he was angry.  Percy knew from experience.  Aunt Petunia was now at the table to see the cause of all of this commotion, "Oh!  God!"  she exclaimed when she saw the letter's contents.  Dudley shouted out in frustration, as he wasn't used to not being the center of attention, "I want to read the letter!"  he stated, huffing with annoyance.  He hit Vernon's big head when he didn't get an answer.  "We should read the letters, they are ours!"  Harry shouted, pointing in between him and Percy.  This was when Percy realized that there was in fact two letter, he could faintly see the the P in between Vernon's sausage fingers.  "Get out!"  Vernon screamed.  Percy jumped and tried to pull Harry out, but he was too angry to move.  Dudley tried to get the letter once more and all three of the boys scrambled out after Vernon roared, "OUT, NOW!"  Dudley and Harry fought over who would listen through the keyhole, Dudley won.  Harry listened through the crack in between the door and the floor, Percy looked to see if there was any sign of any other letters or the person who dropped it off, since it was obviously missing a stamp and the post office would never deliver without  a stamp.  The only unusual thing was an owl, they usually weren't out this early or in this part of town.  The boys were put into their cupboard for the rest  of the day.  They discussed the possible contents.  Harry thought it might be from a distant relative who wants to take them from the Dursleys, Percy thought it might be from Stonewall.  Either way, they were itching to find out what the letters were about.  The unthinkable happened when Vernon came home, he visited the boys in the cupboard.  Harry immediately seized the situation to ask about the letters, "Who's writing to us?  What do they want?"  "Nothing, it was a mistake, they were for someone else."  Vernon gruffly replied.  "It was not a mistake!  They even wrote that we lived under the stairs!"  Harry yelled indignantly.  Percy shot him a pleading look, he didn't want Harry to be in trouble.  Vernon yelled at him, telling him to shut it.  Percy was not enjoying the tone of Vernon's voice one bit.  It made spiders fall from the ceiling and on to Harry and Percy.  Percy tried to calmly take them off, but some still bit him.  He squashed the ones on Harry, considering he was to angry to take them off.  Vernon calmed himself and told them something they never thought they'd hear, "About the cupboard, Petunia and I've been thinking and you and Percy are getting too big for it, so you're being moved into Dudley's second bedroom.  "Why?"  Percy blurted, and covered his mouth afterwards to keep him from talking.  "Noi questions!  Now take your stuff up their!" Vernon snapped and slammed the door.  They were able to take everything up in one trip.  The room was filled with broken or forgotten toys of Dudley's.  It was kinda sad.  It reminded Percy of the land of forgotten toys in the movie 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'.  That night you could hear Dudley throwing a huge tantrum.  They'd decided that it was safest to stay in the room.  Percy sat on the roof that night.  He has trouble sleeping in new places.

The next morning, they received new letters that were addressed to their new room.  Therre was a fight for the letter.  Percy even joined, but he was squashed under bothe Vernon and Dudley so he wasn't of much help.  Vernon came up victorious and sent the twins up to their new room and Dudley away.  They weren't allowed out for the whole day.  Percy took the opportunity to read the seemingly untouched books.  The only problem was that he was having a worse time then usual with reading it.  He sighed, annoyed with his reading problems.  "Harry?  can you read this to me for a bit?  The letters are dancing too much."  Percy asked.  "No, I'm trying to fix this alarm clock."  Percy just sighed and walked around the room for any non-broken toys.  He wasn't very successful.  Harry managed to fix the clock by sun down.  They weren't allowed lights on after dark so it was lucky he did so.  Harry went to bed early, he had a plan.  Percy joined soon after.

Percy and Harry were startled awake by the alarm at 6 a.m.  Harry turned it off quickly.  "Go back to bed Percy.  I'll be right back."  Harry told his brother.  "No Harry.  I'm not leaving you alone."  Harry didn't put much of a fight up, he knew his brother may be quiet, but he's as stubborn as a cement wall.  They crept down the stairs quietly.  They were going to go outside and meet the mailman or messenger.  Percy, who was slightly ahead suddenly stepped on something squishy as he got to the door.  The squishy thing soon screamed and pushed Percy off, sending him to the floor.  Lights started turning on and the squishy thing turned out to be Vernon.  He was in a sleeping bag under the door.  It was obvious that he figured out Harry's plan.  "Which one of you's idea was this!"  Vernon screamed.  "It was mine."  Percy lied before Harry could say anything.  The only thing he hated more than the Dursley's was Harry in trouble.  Vernon got up in his fury and dragged Percy off, screaming the whole way to his destination.  The kitchen.  Harry tried to chase after them, but Vernon locked the door before he could get in.  Harry was banging on the door furiously until Vernon opened the door nearly a half hour later.  "Make me some tea, boy." Vernon yelled and stomped into the family room.  Harry ignored his requested and found Percy balled up in a corner.  "Percy!"  Harry yelled and immediately quieted at the remembrance of Percy's hatred of loud noises.  "Why did you do that?"  Harry demanded quietly.  Percy looked up at him with tears in his eyes.  "You know that him hurting you hurts me more than anything he could ever do to me."  Percy sniffled.  "Percy, you can't keep doing this.  It doesn't make me feel any better."  Harry hugged Percy tightly.  "I need to make tea.  Go to the maple tree and I'll meet you there."

They arrived home later that evening to find that Vernon stayed home and nailed wood over the mail slot.  That didn't stop the letters from arriving though.  They started getting shoved under the door and any other crack in the house.  Vernon solved that problem by nailing up any crevices.  Nobody could leave through the doors.  Vernon burned any letters he came by.   The messenger became more creative.  Two dozen letters were hidden inside the carton the milkman delivered.  Petunia grinned them up in a food processor.  Even Dudley was amazed.  On Sunday, Vernon was unusually happy.  He reminded everyone, "No  post on Sundays."  He kept mumbling tpo himself.  and reading his paper.  The all of the sudden a letter came out of the chimney. Then another, then another.  There were hundreds of letters flooding down, addressed to both Harry and Percy.  The Dursleys hid under the table while the Potters tried to grab them.    Vernon was knocked out of his fright as Percy caught one, "NO!" he yelled which made Percy freeze.  He wrenched the letter out of his hand and threw him into the hall.  Harry was thrown on top of him seconds later.  "Pack all of your crap now!  No questions!"  Mr. Dursley demanded.  Ten minutes later, they made their way out of the boarded- doors and into the car.  Vernon told no one where they were going.    They stopped, after driving all day nonstop, at a musty old hotel outside a city.  The three boys shared a room and Vernon and Petunia shared another.  Percy didn't sleep that night.  Dudley snored too loudly.  He instead wandered the halls of the weird hotel.  It seemed to have no structural planning at all.  Percy arrived back minutes before the Dursleys woke up and went down to breakfast.  The owner came up to them as they ate breakfast.  Percy knew it was the owner because he had a lovely conversation with her last night.  "Sorry to bother you, but would any of you happen to be Mr. P Potter or Mr. H. Potter?"  she asked politely.  "That'd be us."  Percy responded and tried to stand up to follow her, but Vernon pushed him back int his chair roughly.  "If it's about letters, I'll take them."  The owner, Mrs. Parish, looked at him strangely, but led him to the front desk.   They packed up and Vernon drove all around and stopped in random places until he finally stopped at a rough coast and left everyone in the car.  "It's Monday.  I hope this place has television because I want to watch 'The Great Humberto"  Dudley complained to his mother.  Harry looked at Percy.  If Dudley was right (and he usually is on point with the days of the week)  it meant their birthday was tomorrow.  They turned 11.  Uncle Vernon then returned, looking victorious and told them he found a place to stay.  It was a shack on a big rock in the ocean.  A weird old man lent them his row boat so they could get out there.  Vernon gave everyone a bag of chips and sent them to sleep.  Vernon and Petunia got the only bed.  Dudley got the couch and the twins got the floor.  Percy wasn't alone in staying up as Harry didn't sleep.  They watched Dudley's watch as it got closer to their birthday.  The storm seemed to really be raging.  The second the turned eleven a huge boom sounded on the door.  Someone or something was knocking.

Hey what's up?  I know, long time no see.  I know I suck but here is the next chapter.  My laptop broke and I suck at typing on my phone.  I just finished taking finals so I'm pretty much home free.  I'm the worst so I'll probably update this in like a hundred years.  Anyways thanks for dealing with my nonexistent update schedule.
