Shawn
I literally felt like dying. There was so much going on in my body. I felt like i was running on a hot fire. Or a coal. My whole body was burning up and i thought i would blow up!
'Hello Shawn.'
Who said that?' I asked looking around.
'Its me your wolf,' the voice said.
'My wolf? How come i am turning into my wolf? Its just a joke right?' I asked still not really seeing anyone.
The voice chuckled and it made me realize that the voice was indeed in my head. But how the heck was i able to shift at the age of 13 when you didnt shift before 16? Or 17 the most?
'Thats because we are special Shawn,' the voice spoke again.
'What do you mean special?' I asked.
'We are the grey wolf,' it said.
'Excuse me? I have never heard of grey wolves before. And i dont believe you,' i said.
'You are soon going to be transforming Shawn. And its better if you do it alone,' the voice said.
'I dont need to listen to you. So shut up,' i scoffed.
'You'll only believe me when the time comes. Bye Shawn.'
With that i was left in peace. I wondered where was Serenity. Was she with Nathan? Since they were mates? It was too soon to think about my baby sister having a mate so early. I wasnt about to share her with anyone. Especially not Nathan. Even if it meant that he was the future Alpha.
Serenity was my sister and she woulfd live a normal life until she's 16. She doesnt need to get tied up so quickly. She needs to learn to be confident; to be able to date and all that girl stuff. She's too shy to handle a mate at her age.
I know what you are thinking. That i am in a hospital most likely on my death bed and i am thinking about my sister. Well let me break it to you guys. I love my sister. Like crazy. And i would do anything for her in a heartbeat. And if it meant sharing her then that i cant do. Atleast not yet.
'You are already showing the charasteristics of a grey wolf,' the voice said again.
'Shut up,' i said.
The voice chuckled and i sighed. The door opened and in ran Serenity. I smiled upon seeing her but gasped as she hugged me awkwardly in the bed.
"I was SO worried Shawn! Dont do this to me ever again!" Serenity cried.
"Sorry sis didnt mean to scare you," i chuckled.
But then i got coughing again and that worried her more.
"Do you want water? Why hasnt anyone put water here?" She asked looking around.
"Its ok. Just a dry throat," i said.
"You stay right here i will go get water," she said.
I couldnt even move if i wanted to but i didnt tell her that. It was at that moment that i realized Nathan was in the room. Now was a great time to clear up some things. They had a simple answer yes or no.
"Nathan i need to talk to you about a few things. And not just to the future Alpha but as a brother about his sister," i said and coughed again.
"We can talk about anything you want but after you get better. I know Serenity would get my head if she knew i made you cough again," Nathan smiled.
I nodded at that and looked around the room. As usual it was all in white. Where was mom? As if on cue mom dad and Rosie entered. Mom rushed over to me with dad while Rosie stayed behind.
"Shawn my goodness! You are all right!" Mom cried placing kisses all over my face.
"You gave us quiet a scare," dad said ruffling my hair.
I wasnt as close to dad as i was to mom but the thought that he cared for me made me warm.
'Of course he cares for us. He's our dad,' the voice piped up again.
'Shut up for a minute will you?' I asked.
"Sorry dad, wont happen again," i smiled.
"Shawn Rosie wants to talk to you," mom said.
I watched as Rosie walked forward confused as to why she would want to talk to me.
"I am sorry Shawn," Rosie said softly.
"For what?"  I asked.
"I put those pieces of chicken in your plate," she said.
I didnt know what to think or say to that. I knew i couldnt eat chicken for a reason but i didnt know Rosie could do something like that. Even being my sister.
I also knew that Rosie hadnt meant any harm in that. She was just being her curious self. And it didnt help in the way that we werent close.
"Um its fine Rosie," i said awkwardly.
"Here's the water Shawn," Serenity came back.
"Thanks," i smiled at Serenity.
"Well a good thing that came from this is that Serenity here can eat chicken," Alpha said.
Everybody laughed at that and the tension left the room.
"Well lets get back to our work folks," Alpha said.
"I thought we would have the day off," Gamma Ian said.
"You are such a lazy bones," dad chuckled.
"I am not! I can still do karate," Gamma Ian puffed out his chest.
"All that ego is bad for health," aunt Pam said.
"I will stay with Shawn," Serenity said.
I smirked internally. Now would be a good time to tease Serenity. I havent had a good chance for teasing Serenity yet. Even though our friends tease their younger sisters. I would soon be having my fun!
