When we got to Alex's house we saw his mate aka Ryan's mom on the living room sofa. She was holding an ice pack to her right cheek which looked like someone had hit her.
"Mom! Are you ok? What happened?" Ryan eclaimed, rushing to his mom.
This had to be HIS second chance mate. Poor girl. She was young and didnt needed to deserve someon like Alex.
"Nothing honey i was a bit clumsy and fell down the stairs," his mom said.
"You are not clumsy mom! I have never seen you get clumsy. Did dad do that to you?" Ryan asked.
His mom got tears in her eyes and i felt bad for her. Nobody should hit a woman. Ryan's mom nodded and he hugged her.
"Do you know where Alex is?" William asked.
"No. But i know he got someone. I overheard him talking on the phone," she said.
"What else did you hear? Because he got a member of our pack," Ian said.
"Um i think he said that he was going to a shack. To bring the person there," she said.
"There are 4 to 5 shacks here. Which one is he in?" I asked.
"Sorry i never got that," she shook her head.
"We will search all of them," William said.
"Mom why did he hit you?" Ryan asked.
"He asked where you were but your mate told me that you didnt wish to tell anyone else so i said that i didnt know," she said.
"Oh mom. I am sorry. Its because of me isnt it?" Ryan asked.
"You know if you like you and your son could become members of our pack and have the same status as with  the other members," William said.
"Are you sure?" His mom asked.
"Yes," i said.
Now that i knew my daughter's mate wasnt like his father i didnt want them to be apart. If that was what fate had planned for them then who was i to keep them apart? I just wanted to do what was best for my baby girl.
"Its settled then. Why dont you pack your things? When we have finished our work we'll come get you both," William said.
"I will go with you," Ryan said.
"No Ryan. Your mom needs you right now. And you need to stay here in case your dad comes back," i said.
"Allright," Ryan nodded.
Us three and our team of warriors left his house and searched the entire shacks in the city. We didnt find Alex anywhere and i started to grow frustrated. I mean he had my sister in his hands and he could do anything to her.
I would never be able to forgive myself if my sister got hurt. I only met her now. And it would be all my fault.
"Alpha isnt there a shack at the dock which nobody uses because its way to run down?" One of the warriors asked.
"Yes. You think we should check that one?" William asked.
"Yes Alpha," he said.
We made our way thrre and saw that the shack was indeed rundown and looked as if nobody had used it for ages. There was also a small picket fence indicating the boundary. That would be easy to cross if we could just figure out if Alex was here or not.
There were two guards standing at the front door with guns in their hands. The scene brought me to a memory lane when Reanne was in this exact same position. I was lucky i had got to her in time. Because she had been pregnant with Rosie at the time. And if anything had happened to my chil i would have been blaming myself entirely.
"You know this made me think of last year," Ian said.
"I was thinking the same thing," i nodded.
"Should we try the same tactic as before?" William asked.
"Yes. But these guards have guns. I dont know if they had silver bullets in them or not," i said.
"We could always try," Ian said.
"Lets change into our wolf forms," William said.
We had just stepped out of our hiding place when the guards started firing at us. One bullet wizzed past me just missing me by an inch. And i saw tbat it was indeed a silver bullet. Darn them! Now what? I had to get my sister back!
I leapt over the fence and gave a loud growl only to fall back to the ground with a whimper of pain. A bullet had finally hit in my shoulder. The guard that hit me made his way over to me with his gun poised and ready to fire.
I could feel the venom coursing through my veins and felt myself becoming weak. I knew this was the end of me. And my only thought was of Reanne, Rosie, Shawn and Serenity. I loved them all so much.
The guard raised the gun and i closed my eyes. I was anticipating the my death which didnt come. I opened my eyes to see a silver wolf attacking the guard.
From the corner of my eyes i saw my fellow pack members run into the cabin. I felt too weak to even move until a brown wolf moved next to me.
I knew immediately it was Reanne. My little mate. But how did she get here anyway? Reanne whimpered and nudged my shoulder. I opened my eyes and gave her a small smile. If i were to die right now then i had only one thought.
"Whatever happens my little wolf just remember that i love always will love you. When i am gone look after my children," i said.
Reanne whimpered and only licked my snout. I could feel my blood slowing and knew it was time for me.
So this is it folks! The last chapter of the series! After this there will be an epilogue. So stay tuned!
