Shawn
After everyone left for Ryan's house mom declined herself to her room. I could still feel my bones ache but i didnt tell anyone. Mainly because i didnt want her to get worried because of me.
I stood up from the chair i was sitting on and felt my muscles protest. I felt pain in all parts of my body but eepecially my arms and legs. Painfully i made my way to my room on the second floor. I started feeling all hot and bothered and took off my shirt before collapsing on my bed; panting. What the hell was happening to me? My muscles cracked making me grunt and whip a sweat from my forehead.
"Shawn do you-
Serenity stopped midway and gave a small scream. I felt the bed dip and i knew that she was sitting beside me. I had my eyes shut tight and so couldnt see the expression on her face. But i could feel her every emotion and knew that she was scared.
"Whats happening? Do you want me to call mom?" Serenity cried.
"No," i gritted through clenched teeth, "she's gonna freak out."
"Oh shut up Shawn. You need a doctor," she said.
Something inside me was annoyed at how she talked to me but i knew that Serenity was just worried for me. Heck if this was happening to her i would have been scared too. But i am glad it didnt happen to her. I didnt want her to experience this pain.
"Just hold on Shawn. I am calling mom," Serenity said.
"Serenity wait-
But before i could even finish my sentence she was gone from my room. Great now what? I bit back my scream as i wave of sharp pain flowed through my body. I wanted to hit something and hit it hard. Until i was bleeding. It was as if something inside of me was annoyed at something or someone. And wanted to help them.
"Shawn! Oh my god! Whats happening?" Mom cried.
"Nothing mom. I am fine," i gritted out.
It even hurt to speak and i punched my bed hard. I could feel people entering my room. I didnt want anyone to see me in my weakened state. If anything i didnt want them thinking that i was a weirdo.
"Oh! I think i know what is happening," my real grandfather said.
"Whats happening?" Mom asked.
It sounded as if she was trying hard not to cry.
"For that we have to take Shawn outside," my grandfather said.
"I will carry him," Nathan said.
"I dont," i started and then felt my eyes open.
Everything was haphazard and i could feel my senses strengthen to about 100 fold. Well it felt that way.
"Come on Shawn. Lets go out," Nathan said softly.
I could only nod in response and he picked me up in his arms. I could see Serenity crying in the corner and my heart clenched in my chest. I didnt want her to worry.
'Hello Shawn,' a voice said.
'Who are you?' I demanded.
It seemed as if the voice was inside my head. Was it possible that i was going insane and needed an asslyium? The same voice chuckled making me annoyed.
'No Shawn. I am your wolf. And you are in the middle of transformation process,' the voice (or my wolf) said.
'Whats that supposed to mean?' I asked.
'Our pack needs our help so i am transforming you early,' the voice said.
'Transforming? What the hell?' I asked.
But the voice didnt respond back making me annoyed. Geez what was it with these emotions? I had never been this annoyed before. Ok i might have been but that was because i was only protecting my sister at the time.
I felt myself being put on the ground and welcomed the cool surface beneath me. It soothed somewhat of my warm and clammy skin making me sigh in relief. And then i felt the worst kind of pain ever and a strangled cry escaped my lips.
"Whats happening to my baby?" Mom cried out.
"He's in his transformation phase," my grandfather said.
"Whats that?" Mom asked, sniffling.
"It means that your son is a silver wolf," my grandfather said.
"Silver wolf? Arent those a legend?" A pack member asked.
"Yes but they are said to exist 1 in 100,000," my grandfather said.
There was a collective gasp amongst the people. Silver wolf? I had never heard of it.
"But he's only thirteen!" Mom exclaimed.
"Age doesnt matter to silver wolves. When they feel that someone dear to them is in trouble thats when they start shifting," my grandfather said.
An unknown sound escaped my lips and i heard everyone gasp. It was then that i realized that it was a growl. A growl of a wolf. My wolf. And it was angry. Ready for the kill.
'Get ready,' my wolf said.
I cursed loudly as another wave of pain hit me. And thats when the final transformation started. I felt my bones cracking. And another growl left my lips and i heard everyone gasp of shock.
I turned around to face everybody. All my senses were sharpened. I could see everything clearly and hear everything. Even the shortest sound i heard. I looked down and saw that instead of my hands i had paws. Paws of a wolf. And they were silver.
'You have shifted into your silver wolf at last. We have got immense power. So much that we could even form a pack of our own and lead as an Alpha,' my wolf said.
'Whats your name?' I asked.
'I dont have a name yet. Our human parts gets to decide our name,' my wolf said.
It felt all weird to be talking inside my head to my wolf. But i guess it came naturally to us.
"You are so beautiful!" Serenity gasped, making Nathan growl.
I gave a wolfish grin and wagged my tail.
"Can we touch him?" Mom asked.
"Yes but family members first," my grandfather said.
Mom petted me first and i purred at the feel of her hand on my fur. I licked her hand as she stepped back. Then Rosie came forward and gave me a hug and i licked her face making her giggle. Last but not the least was Serenity.
She sat down beside me and i placed my wolfish head on her lap and closed my eyes.
"I think we should leave them be," my grandfather said.
'Shawn we have to go,' my wolf said.
'Go where?' I asked.
'Go help dad,' he said.
I shot up from Serenity's lap and shook my fur.
'Lead the way,' i said.
