Five.

Believe it or not but trying to climb through a window on the second floor of a house is way harder in pitch blackness then daylight. In the end I successfully climb or fall into Beckett's dark room with a loud thud

"Sage? Is that you?" I hear Beckett whisper along with the cluttering of something, he must be reaching for his glasses. I groan as I slowly get up.

"No it's batman, I'm here to kidnap you for ripping my head of your batman figurine when you we twelve," I say in a deep voice. Beckett turn's on his lamp and I am momentarily blinded. My sight comes back to find Beckett in his pajamas safety tucked into his bed.

"I'm am not getting a criminal record," He says. I roll my eyes. He repeats his words again.

"Stop being an asshat and get dressed into dark clothing," I sigh.

"I am not getting a criminal record Sage, they look bad on college applications," he protests.

"It's not like I'm asking you to kill the nice lady down the street Beckett," I explain rather rudely. Falling into his bedroom hurt, especially since I fell on his pile of unnecessary junk.

"I'm only asking you do some petty theft or breaking into an abandoned waterpark," I say, quickly adding on the part about the waterpark.

"I am not breaking into a waterpark Sage, there would be security guys," He comments. I roll my eyes yet again at his goody-toe shoe-ness. Soon they're going to roll out of my eye sockets.

"No one has been there for like twenty years Beckett, grow up and get dressed," I say pushing his duvet off him. He groans while getting out of bed and slowly makes his way over his closet. I sit on his bed and wait for him patiently. He walks back into the room with black jeans and a black star wars shirt, good enough. We quietly make our way down the stair and successfully make it out the door without being caught. Beckett is by far the worst person to have around when you're trying to silently exit a house; He's so damn loud. We hop in my car and I speed down the road to our destination.

"If we are going to break into somewhere I would like to arrive there in one piece," He speaks with slight fear laced into his words. I smile and speed up, causing him to hold onto the door handle and seat tighter. Pretty soon we arrive at our destination. I park down the street to the water park and we gather torches and I hand a black sock to Beckett.

"Thanks, but I already have socks on," He states pointing to his feet, all my friends are Idiots.

"It's a mask," I remark pulling it over my head showing him that I cut to two wholes out to see through. Beckett blushes at his idiocy and pulls it over his head quietly. We make our way over to the ratty old fence and I begin climbing but stop when I notice Beckett isn't moving.

"Do I need to hold your hand while you climb or something?" I ask putting on a voice you only would put on when talking to a baby, for example, right now.

"It's just a fence Beckett, have you never climbed one before?" I ask, he doesn't talk but he answered my question. I jump of the fence and stand in front of him in shock.

"You've never climb a fence before? Wow, I mean I climb fences all the time, I'm a pro I guess," I say.

"Yeah, that's how you got out of the looney bin," He mutters rudely. I was about to snap back before I remember that Beckett has an extreme fear of heights, It took him a year to be okay with having his bedroom on the second floor on his house, he use to sleep in the living room.

"It's really not that scary, its like walking, but going upwards," I explain as best I can. He just frowns at me. After about two minutes of trying to explain that the fence is completely safe I give up.

"Oh for Christ's sake, climb the damn fence!" I yell in annoyance. He takes a deep breath but remains where he is.

"Go!" I yell hitting him on the back.

He frowns at me before he starts to climb the fence. He makes it over the other side and jumps to the ground on the other side, he grins through the fence at me. I climb the fence until I reach the top. I attempt to swing my leg over but my jeans get caught on a loose bit of the fence. I yank my foot but it doesn't budge. I yank it harder and it lets me go extremely fast, so fast I loose my balance and grip on the fence and fall straight onto Beckett. As we both hit the ground I hear a crack along with Beckett groan loudly in pain.

The impact of fall left me whiplashed and breathless. I remain still because I heard the crack and thought that maybe I broke a bone but as Beckett continues to groan I guess the crack came from him. I quickly get off him and shine a torch on him, Blood. Blood pouring out from his nose rapidly have never seen so much blood gushing out a nose before. Beckett sits up and attempts the wipe the blood dripping down his mouth but ends up holding his nose in pain. I curse to myself.

"You are definitely a pro at climbing," He spits blood and I rip some of his shirt off and start to wipe the blood of his face.

"Who's there?" We hear a voice boom. I turn around to see a faint flashlight swarming over the place.

"Shit," I mutter.

"Told you there would be a security guy," He groans quietly.

"Yeah okay you're a flipping genius, now lets get out of here!" I whisper yell at him. I try to help him up but he groans louder, I think I hurt more then his nose.

"You two freeze!" The security guy yells running towards us. Great, we are busted. Let go of Beckett and put my hands up in the air but Beckett just falls back into the ground in pain holding his stomach and nose.

"Officer, this guy's in pain. He needs help. He's bleeding," I say turning to help Beckett up but officer stops me.

"Stay their young lady!" He orders and he crouches in front of Beckett, his pain is clearly plastered all over his face.

The Officer says something into the radio and another guy responds. I think he just called for the cops. I panic; I wasn't the one that was meant to get a criminal record! I think about my choices: I could stay and possibly be thrown in jail or I could make an attempt to run. If I run I would leave behind Beckett and I couldn't do that especially when I probably broke one-office bones. I decide to stay and stand there looking like a idiot while the Officer uses the piece of cloth I broke off Beckett's top to clean him up. Pretty soon I hear a car pulling up and the headlights blind me.

"Hello Officer Brad, Found these two breaking into the area. The boy has a broken nose and possibly bruised ribs," The officer says as policemen walks towards us but stays behind the fence.

"Sir I suggest you don't climb the fence, it's very unstable," I comment putting on my sweetest smile. The policeman frowns at me and I stop talking. The policeman grabs pliers from his police car and cuts through the fence. The Security guy helps Beckett up and into the car as I follow them quietly. I sit next to Beckett in the car as the Policemen takes us to the police station. Beckett turns to me with anger in his eyes.

"I will kill you," He threatens. I frown at him.

"Sir, this guy just threatened my life!" I say calling out to the front seat.

"Let me take a look," I say. Beckett turns his head away from me.

"No, you'll probably just break it again," He snaps. It's true I broke his nose.

After we arrived at the police station the Policemen placed us both in the same cell even though I protested about being in the same cell. Usually when you tell a policemen that someone threatened your life they actually listen but this Officer just threw me into the cell and probably threw away the key as he walked off, Rude.

Anyway Beckett was taken out of the cell to go get checked out and turned out I broke his nose, two of his finger and bruised one of his ribs. The only thing Beckett really is angry about is the fact that he can't play video games for a while because I broke his 'playing fingers'.

I walk around the square cell impatiently as Beckett continues to ignore me. I find an extremely short pencil and pick it up and draw a small line on the wall.

"What are you doing?" Beckett asks. He's still holding his nose even though there is a bandage on it.

"I'm am writing down on the wall how many days I will have to stay in the big house," I sigh. Beckett just rolls his eyes at my dramatic-ness.

"So far I have only spent a few hours in this sorrowful cell but I feel the greyness of the walls slowly melting into me making my once bubbling personality turn to a big grey cloud of sadness and self pity. I am unaware of how long I shall have to endure this torture, but I will continue to face the sadness over whelming me with confidence and pride that I know that I have done everything possible to my life to-" I begin my life's speech of accepting that I am now a criminal.

"Can you please shut the hell up!" Beckett growls. I step back slightly surprised but a smile grows on my face.

"You sounded like a jerk! Progress!" I say holding my hand up for a big five. Beckett ignores my hand and I result to high five myself. I plonk myself down next to Beckett on the squeaky bed.

"It seems the sadness of the walls have already consumed your soul, but do not fear I will only remember you as the shy and geeky Beckett you were before your soul was corrupted by the darkness of this cell," I say sympathetically patting his shoulder. Beckett glares at me and I drop my hand.

"I have an escape plan Beckett," I say rubbing my hands together.

"Do we have to climb another fence?" He grumbles. I stare at him and roll my eyes visibly.

"Keep rolling your eyes Sage, maybe you'll find a brain back there," He mutters. I place my hand over my heart to show the pain his words caused me. Beckett glares at me for being over dramatic and I continue with my escape plan.

"Okay here's the plan: You call the Policeman over hear saying your stomach hurts, he come's in and inspects your stomach. I pickpocket the keys from him and then you punch him in the face and knock him out and we make a run for it," I explain. Beckett just stares at me emotionless.

"No," He simply says and turns his head the other way. After about 10 minutes later I hear my parents voices faintly.

I curse to myself knowing that they will probably ground me till I'm dead. The officer comes back and lets both of us free saying we are let off with a warning since we didn't do any damage except to each other. I grimace as I see my Mother and Father waiting there for us; I smile at them but only my mother replies with a small smile. We exit the police station and I share the back seat with bandaged up Beckett. We pull out of the police station. I expect my father to start yelling but he doesn't, he remains calm and collected, well kind of.

"I am very disappointed in you Sage," He says meaning every word. I sink into the leather car seat.

"To disobey the law and bring Beckett with you is completely-" My dad begins before Beckett interrupts.

"Mr. Evans I'm sorry but I wanted to go to the Water park, this is all my fault," He lies in my defense. I want to hug him for protecting me but I also want to hit him for lying and taking the blame.

"For certain reasons Beckett I don't believe you are telling the truth," My father sighs.

"I didn't mean to get arrested," I grumble. I hear my Dad laugh and I frown.

"Sage, you don't mean to do a lot of things but you still do them," My Dad chuckles. I sink further into my seat. I feel anger growing inside me but I resist the urge to argue back. I look over to Beckett who has a small smile on his face and I look to Mum who's smiling as well.

"Ugh fine, okay I got arrested, broke Beckett's nose and fingers while being grounded! Ground me for the rest of my life, I don't care, but I seriously didn't mean to get arrested or hurt Beckett. I just wanted to show him how to have fun," I huff. Causing my father to laugh louder, I hear a chuckle from Beckett and I glare at him. Why is this so damn funny?

"Playing a board game can be fun too, no need to break the law," My father replies. I roll my eyes and turn to look out the window. I arrive at Beckett's house and his mother comes out and helps me make it to the door.

"Get better Beckett," My father says before He exits the car.

"As for you young lady, you're grounded for another week. No electronics or television and you will being cooking meals for your mother and I for the weeks you are grounded, and when you're not cooking or sulking you can go through all the things in your room and donate fifty of your belongings or clothes to a charity, you have way too much stuff," My Dad commanded. This is going to be a long two weeks.
