Welcome to the world of Pokemon! A wonderful place thriving with mysterious creatures we call Pokemon. Yes, Pokemon are all around us- in the sea, in the sky, and even with us in our town And those of us who choose to catch and train Pokemon to battle we call Pokemon Trainers!

On a bright and beautiful day in Twinleaf Town, inside a house we see a flat screen TV playing in the living room. On the TV, is a live recording of a Pokemon league battle between Sinnoh's champion, Cynthia, and the legendary trainer, Tobias.

The battle begins and the two sent out their strongest Pokemon, Garchomp and Darkrai. 

Cynthia: Now Garchomp! Use Dragon Pulse!

Tobias: Darkrai use Dark Pulse!

Garchomp and Darkrai fired their attacks and they collided.

Back to the living room, we a kid sitting in front of the TV watching the battle with excitement. 

Y/N: Wow they're so awesome! I can't wait to turn 10 so can be a Pokemon Trainer.

Tomorrow is Y/N's 10th birthday. 10 year olds can get their first Pokemon and start their journey as Pokemon Trainer. 

Y/N's mother walked in the living room.

Johanna: Hi sweetie, I have some great news. Your father coming home tonight and he's got a big surprise for you.

Y/N: (happily) Really dad's coming and a surprise for me. 

Y/N's father is a very amazing trainer who has skills that rivals the Sinnoh's gym leaders. He spent most of the time at Iron Island to protect the Pokemon in the mines from Pokemon poachers. But he would event comes home to spent with his family. A few hours past and the sun was setting. Y/N was waiting in his room until finally heard front door open. He ran down the stairs and he saw his dad walk inside while carrying box. He then went hug his dad in a tight embrace. 

Riley: Hey there kiddo. It's good to see you.

Y/N: Dad! I missed you!

Riley: I missed you too. 

Johanna then walk over to them and hugged Riley.

Johanna: Welcome home, dear.

Riley: Thanks honey. Y/N are ready for your gift?

Y/N: Yeah I'm ready.

Riley carried the box the living room with Y/N follow him. Riley gently placed the box on the floor  in front of his son. He then bend down to one knee before speaking to him.

Riley: Y/N know that it's always been to be a Pokemon Trainer. So got you a special gift that I know you'll love.

Y/N opened the box by removing the top lid. When you opened the box his face lit up with joy. Inside the box is reveal to be a Pokemon egg.

Y/N: (excitement) Woah It's a Pokemon egg! 

Riley: That's right and it's yours.

Y/N: Really? For me?

Riley: Yep when the Pokemon inside these egg hatch it'll be your first partner. And as its trainer it's your job to take real good care of it. That 's how it'll evolve and grow stronger. If raise your Pokemon with love and respect then you'll be on your way to becoming the best trainer.

Y/N: (looks determined) Ok I will. When my Pokemon hatches I'll train with care. Then I'll catch more Pokemon and train them to get stronger. That way I'll be the strongest trainer in the world. Stronger than you and even stronger than Cynthia.

Riley smiled from hearing his son's determination to be the best and pat him on the head. Riley reached in his pocket and took out a poke ball that he handed to Y/N.

Riley: I know you will kiddo. And when your the best trainer let have a battle.

Y/N: (smiling) Yeah!

Timeskip to late at night, Y/N had fallen sleep so he can wake up bright and early so he can got to Professor Rowan's lab. The Pokemon egg was its box placed next to his bed. Y/N had wrap the egg a blanket to keep warm and comfortable. Suddenly Y/N felt this strange sensation while he was sleeping. It felt like someone was call out to him in his mind. This caused him to awake and when he open his eyes he saw a bright light. He got out of bed and saw the the light was coming the egg. Y/N kneeled down to the box to see that the egg start to hatch.

The egg then illuminated a blinding light that caused Y/N to cover his eyes for a few seconds. The  light had faded and uncovered his eyes and saw the Pokemon that hatched from the egg. It's a Riolu, a fighting type. 

Y/N: (excited) Wow it's a Riolu! 

Riolu opened its eyes and jumped out of the box. It looked around then it looked at me.

Riolu: Riolu

Y/N: Hey there.

Riolu got in a fighting stance to defend itself. 

Y/N: (speaking softly) Oh it's ok. I won't hurt you. I just want to be your friend.

Riolu got out of its defensive position walk up closer to Y/N. It close its eyes and the two black appendages hang down from its head rise up, meaning that it's sensing Y/N's aura. It realized that Y/N was the aura it detected when it was in its egg. Riolu start to calm down and let Y/N lightly pet on its head.

Y/N: Riolu, starting today we are partners. I going on a journey to become the best trainer and I promise that we will get stronger together, ok. 

Riolu: olu olu

Riolu smiled and nodded its head with determination. When it sensed Y/N's aura it knew that he had the potential to grow powerful. Riolu accepted to join Y/N on his journey as his Pokemon. Y/N then use the poke ball his dad give him and he held it out for Riolu touch with its paw. Riolu then went inside the poke ball and after it shook one time Riolu was quickly successful caught.

YN: Thanks Riolu. With you by my side we achieve our dreams.

The next morning, Y/N was getting ready to head to Professor Rowan's Lab. He put on his hat, grabbed his backpack, and grabbed Riolu's poke ball. When left to go to the lab he decide to stop by his best friend's home. He arrived at the house and knocked on the door. The person to the door was Reggie, a Pokemon breeder.

Reggie: Good morning Y/N

Y/N: Morning Reggie. Is Paul home? Today's when we got our starter Pokemon from Professor Rowan.

Reggie: Oh sorry Y/N. Paul already left he to go to Professor Rowan's Lab a few minutes ago. 

Y/N: So he trying to get an early lead huh. Well I'll just meet him there. It was nice to see you Reggie. See ya later.

Y/N started running while Reggie was waving goodbye.

Reggie: See ya Y/N. Good luck on your journey.

Y/N then rushed over to Professor Rowan's Lab at full speed. He made it to the Lab and walked in the front door. Inside he met up with Professor Rowan and Paul.

Professor Rowan: Hello Y/N you have arrived just in time.

Paul: You kept me waiting. I thought you never show up. 

Y/N: Hey I would've gotten here sooner if you hadn't rush ahead of me! I thought we could walk here together but you just had to get ahead of me!

Paul: Heh Even if we went together you would just slow me down. 

Y/N: Yeah right! I can 100 times faster than you!

???: Does everything have to be a competition with you two?

And young girl walked in the lab. It was Dawn, Professor Rowan's assistant. 

Dawn: Can't you guys go two minutes without argue.

Y/N: He started it.

Paul: I'm just saying what's true.

Professor Rowan: Now that you three are all here it's time for you to receive your Pokemon.

On a pedestal there are three poke balls sitting on top of it.

Professor Rowan: These three poke balls contain the three starter Pokemon Piplup, Chimchar, and Turtwig. Each of you will choose which one of these Pokemon to become your partners on the start of your journey. You may choose the Pokemon that best for you.

Y/N, Paul, and Dawn walked up to the pedestal and decide which starter they're going to pick. 

Y/N: I thought about it really carefully and I decided that choose Chimchar!

Y/N grabbed the poke ball in the middle containing Chimchar.

Paul: I'll choose Turtwig.

Paul grabbed the poke ball on the right containing Turtwig.

Dawn: And I'll choose Piplup.

Dawn grabbed the poke ball on the left containing Piplup.

After choosing their Pokemon, the three trainers sent them out.

Chimchar was happy that Y/N chose him that it jumped up and hugged him and Y/N hugged back. Dawn picked up Piplup and cuddle with it. Paul bend down to one knee to pet Turtwig with a slight smile.

Y/N: (pulling out Riolu poke ball)  Riolu come say hi to Chimchar 

Riolu came out from it poke ball to greet Chimchar and it surprised everyone.

Dawn: Y/N you already caught a Riolu?!

Y/N: I don't catch. My dad gave it to when was still an egg. It just hatched last night.

 Professor Rowan: Fascinating a Riolu can be quite the rare Pokemon. They're also very powerful when they gain more experience. I know that you will train well Y/N.

Y/N: I will Professor. I'll train Riolu, Chimchar, and all my Pokemon I'll catch to be the strongest. And I gonna prove to Paul that I'm the best Pokemon trainer. Right you guys.

Riolu: Rio

Chimchar: Char

Riolu and Chimchar nodded excitement to grow stronger.

Paul: Is that right? You really think you can beat me.

Y/N: Yeah my goal is to become the best Pokemon Champion in the world! I'm gonna defeat every other trainer in the world include you! And that a promise!

Paul: (smiling) Well in that case, I'll become a stronger trainer too. Then we'll find out who the stronger.

Y/N: That's fine with me.

The two rivals give each other a friendly fist bump. Professor Rowan smiled and Dawn slightly giggled at the sight of them.

Dawn: Those really must love to compete against each.

Professor Rowan: Yes they both have a strong ambition to be the best. I have no doubt that they'll become excellent trainers.

Later that day, after getting Chimchar from Professor Rowan Y/N that headed back home to pack up all his stuff. When he was done preparing to go on his journey he stood outside facing his house with Riolu and Chimchar by his side . Johanna and Riley are standing in front of Y/N to wish their son the best of luck.

Johanna: (smiling) Oh Y/N I'm so proud of you. You're finally going to fulfill your dream to go on your Pokemon journey. 

Riley: This is going to be first time out as a trainer. And if your planning to be the best Pokemon champion then you got to give it your all. There will be a lot challenges you'll have to face and a lot of strong trainer you'll to battle. Are sure you're ready for this? 

Y/N: (smiling with determination) Yeah I'm ready. I know that it's not gonna be easy but I keep moving forward and never give up I can succeed. I'll treat all my Pokemon with proper care and train them to their full potential. I'll challenge every gym leader and every league champion to a battle and win. No matter how long it takes I will achieve my dream. 

Riley and Johanna were so proud of their son they pulled him in for big hug. After the hug Y/N then bend down to one knee to talk Riolu and Chimchar. 

Riley: (hold his both hands to fist bump his Pokemon) Riolu and Chimchar can I count on you to help me reach my goal?

Riolu: Olu

Chimchar: Chimchar

Riolu and Chimchar nodded and they each fist bumped both of Y/N's hands as a promise to always be his friends and that they'll help him become the world strongest Pokemon champion. 

Y/N: (standing up) Alright, it's time for us to get going.

Y/N started walking away with Riolu and Chimchar walking beside him. His parents were waving goodbye while their son was leaving and Y/N turned his to wave back at them.

Johanna: Have fun sweetie and be safe!

Riley: Do your best son! We'll be cheering for you!

Y/N: See ya mom and dad! The next time you'll see I'll come back home as the strongest Pokemon champion! 

And so, Y/N has gotten his two starter Pokemon and is now start his journey to the world's best Pokemon champion. The journey may be long and arduous but with some help from his Pokemon and hark work his dream will come true. Along the way Y/N will meet new friends, strong rivals, and all kinds of other amazing Pokemon. Stay tuned as the story continues.
