Talonflame was struggling to get its foot out of one of the geysers and Noivern was helping until Talonflame's foot was finally able to pop out of the geyser. Meanwhile, the helicopter arrived in Skaftafell National Park and Torterra, Infernape, Heracross, Noctowl, Bulbasaur, Snivy, Greninja, Hawlucha, Boldore, Krookodile, Unfezant and Sceptile leave the helicopter, heading for the Pikachu Tip Box.

Ash: As most of the teams struggle to finish the geyser challenge alive, the top six teams have arrived in Skaftafell National Park where their next challenge awaits.

(Bulbasaur hits the Poke Ball button on the Pikachu Tip Box with Vine Whip and grabs the travel tip)

Bulbasaur: It's an "Either/Or". Feast or Fossil.

Iris and Axew were by a table and an ice cave.

Iris: In case anyone forgot what an "Either/Or" challenge is, it gives the teams the choice of completing one of two tasks. In this case, they either feast on a traditional Icelandic feast.

Axew: Or they can find and retrieve a fossil within the icy walls of this ice cave.

Ash and Pikachu were by the chill zone.

Ash: Once their chosen task complete, teams must take their fossil or empty platter to the chill zone.

Pikachu: The last team to arrive may be out of the race.

Bulbasaur, Snivy, Torterra and Infernape each grabbed a pick axe and ran into the ice cave. Boldore and Krookodile watches as Unfezant, Sceptile, Heracross, Noctowl, Greninja and Hawlucha grab a pick axe each and head into the ice cave.

(Interview)

Boldore: The other teams chose the fossil, so we decided to try the Icelandic feast.

Krookodile: The feast should be interesting. I wonder what was on the menu.

(End Interview)

Boldore and Krookodile walked towards the table. Krookodile placed a hand on the handle of one of the dishes.

Ash: So, Professor Oak, what do we have for the Icelandic feast?

Professor Oak: I'm glad you asked me that question, Ash. The feast has putrefied shark, pickled herring, cured ram, broiled puffin and singed sheep heads.

Ash: Please tell me you're joking.

Professor Oak: Not to worry, we made berries, Poke cubes and Poke Puffs to look like the feast. In other words, it's different than the Icelandic feast.

Ash: Smart. I'm sure the Pokémon would be surprised to see that.

Meanwhile, at the geyser field, Dawn and Piplup gives Bayleef and Quilava their next travel tip and they head for the helicopter while Palpitoad waits for Leavanny.

Bayleef: Here comes the helicopter!

Quilava: Hopefully, we'll catch up with the other teams.

Back with Dawn and Piplup, Oshawott was having a hard time memorizing the Icelandic sentence.

Oshawott: Uh... I think it was... Van, no. Vinsamlegast... uh... gave... no, it was Vinsamlegast gefa mer... (Oshawott growls and looks at Pignite) Come on, Pignite. You heard the sentence as well. Help me!

Pignite: Oh, that was a while ago, man. Who can remember?

(Oshawott growls in annoyance)

Oshawott: I'll deal with you later. (Oshawott turns to Dawn and Piplup) Vinsamlegast gefa mer mina travel abending?

Piplup: Hard time, I'll admit. But, you got it right.

(Dawn hands Oshawott the travel tip)

Oshawott: ALL RIGHT!

Pignite: WHOO! To the helicopter!

(Oshawott and Pignite runs off)

Later, Noivern and Talonflame got their travel tip from Dawn and Piplup. They both high fived and head for the helicopter. As they left, Donphan and Scraggy reached Dawn and Piplup. Scraggy got the first part of the sentence right, but Donphan didn't.

(Interview)

Donphan: I said it before and I'll say it again. Not easy learning more than one language.

Scraggy: No kidding. Then again, it's rare to see Pokémon who speak the same language as humans.

Donphan: Truth.

(End Interview)

Corphish and Buizel told the Icelandic sentence to Dawn and Piplup and they looked worried, hoping they got it right. Dawn and Piplup thought about it and shrugged.

Dawn: Why not. Here's your travel tip.

Buizel takes the travel tip and he and Corphish high fived.

Buizel: We should probably join the others.

Corphish: Agreed.

Meanwhile, in the ice caves, Infernape was using Flamethrower and Torterra was using Razor Leaf to get one of the fossils out of the ice. Sceptile was having a hard time walking on the ice when it slipped, but Unfezant catches Sceptile.

Unfezant: Got you.

Sceptile: Thanks. Who would've thought walking on ice would be this tricky...

(Sceptile and Unfezant look to see Bulbasaur and Snivy skating on the ice)

Sceptile: Look at these two.

Unfezant: They must've had some practice or something to get past this ice.

(Greninja sees one of the fossils)

Greninja: Jackpot! Fossil!

Hawlucha: I got it.

Hawlucha uses Karate Chop on the ice, causing it to crack and shatter. The two Kalos Pokémon were surprised.

Hawlucha: Whoa. You think something that was frozen for a long time would know how to take a punch, am I right?

Greninja: No joke. I never knew fossils were that fragile.

Noctowl and Heracross were chipping at the ice, trying to get the fossil out without cracking it. Bulbasaur and Snivy noticed what they were doing.

Both: Well, that's new.

(Interview)

Heracross: We decided to chip the fossil out of the ice by using my horn, Noctowl's beak and my claws.

Noctowl: We have to be careful, though. Maybe even keep it inside some ice so it doesn't break or anything.

(End Interview)

Back at the geyser field, Charizard and Snorlax just got their travel tip.

Charizard: WHOO! Yes, we got the tip. Come on!

Snorlax: Right behind you!

(Charizard and Snorlax head for the helicopter)

Palpitoad was waiting when he sees Leavanny running back, sweating.

Palpitoad: You should've let me go, buddy. Still, go ahead and say the sentence.

Leavanny: Vinsamlegast gefa mer mina travel abending.

(Dawn hands them the travel tip)

Leavanny: Thanks. Now, let's head for the helicopter and catch up with the other teams.

Palpitoad: Right. But, if we get sent home today, I'm not talking to you again for a least a week.

Leavanny: Ditto. Now, let's move!

The last ones were Squirtle and Totodile. After they got their tip, they jumped into the helicopter and it flies off to the Skaftafell National Park. Back at the ice cave, Torterra and Infernape got their fossil out which was now frozen in a block of ice.

Torterra: Okay. This should keep it intact until we reach the chill zone. Help me push.

Infernape: Are you sure that's such a good idea? I mean, I am a Fire-Type.

Torterra: Ah, good point. Then, I'll try to carry it on my own. Can you watch over it in case something happens to it?

Infernape: Sure.

Back at the geyser field, Donphan and Scraggy were still having a hard time with the Icelandic language. They kept trying to say the sentence with perfect pronunciation, but to no avail. Later, Swellow and Staraptor reached Dawn and Piplip and Swellow was saying the Icelandic sentence to Dawn and Piplup.

Swellow: Mina travel abending.

(Piplup hands Swellow the travel tip and Swellow snatches it out of Piplup's hand)

Swellow: BOOM! That's what I'm talking about! High-wing!

Staraptor held his wing up and Swellow gives him a hard high-five, then flies off to the helicopter. Staraptor looks at his wing in pain.

Staraptor: Ow...

The helicopter arrives at the geyser field while Noivern, Talonflame, Bayleef and Quilava each grab a pick and head for the ice cave.

Ash: Thirteen of the fifteen teams are now working on the second challenge.

Pikachu: But, Donphan and Scraggy have yet to complete Challenge #1.

Donphan and Scraggy ran through the geysers and reach Dawn and Piplup.

Donphan: You do it. I don't think I can handle another trip through those geysers.

Scraggy: Vinsamlegast gefa mer mina travel abending.

Dawn and Piplup hands them their travel tip and they head for the helicopter.

(Interview)

Scraggy: We were so far behind, we couldn't risk messing it up again.

Donphan: At least we finally finished the first challenge.

(End Interview)

Squirtle and Totodile were at the table, looking at the Icelandic feast. Oshawott and Pignite watched as Boldore and Krookodie were eating.

Squirtle: Whoa, dude!

(Palpitoad and Leavanny looked like they were going to hurl)

Palpitoad: Not happening. I vote we go fossil hunting.

Leavanny: Agreed.

Palpitoad and Leavanny grabbed a pick when Scraggy grabs one from Palpitoad.

Scraggy: YOINK! Pardon us.

Donphan: Careful, Scraggy. That cave is super icy.

Scraggy: No problem. I know ice...

Suddenly, Scraggy started slipping on the ice on the way down, passing Heracross and Noctowl who were pushing their fossil up towards the entrance.

Both: What in the world?

(Scraggy hits his head against a rock and he rubs his head)

Scraggy: It's a good thing I have a hard head.

Scraggy looks to see the pick axe swinging straight towards him and he yells. Luckily, the pick hits the rock next to him.

Scraggy: That was a little too close.

Palpitoad and Leavanny were shocked. Leavanny drops his pick.

Palpitoad: On second thought, maybe we should take our chances with the feast.

Leavanny: After seeing that, definitely a better idea.

(Interview)

Leavanny: Scraggy got lucky. After seeing that, the feast was probably a better option. At least you don't have to slip on the ice.

Palpitoad: Better than getting hit in the face with a ice pick.

(End Interview)

Squirtle was eating the Icelandic feast and gives some of it to Totodile.

Squirlte: We got this.

Leavanny, Palpitoad, Charizard, Snorlax, Swellow, Staraptor, Oshawott and Pignite were eating the Icelandic feast. Later, Boldore and Krookodile finished the feast. Krookodile picks up the empty platter and he and Boldore walked off to the chill zone. 

Oshawott, Snorlax and Charizard: Those two are crazy.

Krookodile and Boldore made it to the chill zone where Ash and Pikachu were waiting for them.

Ash: Wow! Boldore and Krookodile, you're in first place.

Pikachu: You're both the winners in this part of the race. For now.

(Interview)

Boldore: As soon as I saw the platter, I knew we were going to come in first.

Krookodile: Wow, I'm so excited! First place!

(End Interview)

In the ice cave, Noivern, Talonflame, Bayleef and Quilava were chipping on the ice, trying to get their fossils out.

Ash: First place is taken, but last place is still up for grabs.

Pikachu: And nobody wants it.

Swellow, Staraptor, Charizard and Snorlax were nearly finished with their platter of the Icelandic feast.

Charizard: Don't think, just chew.

Snorlax: Eye-eye. (Snorlax laughs)

Meanwhile, Sceptile and Unfezant arrived at the chill zone with their fossil and Bulbasaur and Snivy weren't too far behind.

Ash: Sceptile and Unfezant, you're in second place.

Pikachu: And Bulbasaur and Snivy take third place.

Snorlax and Charizard later arrived a the chill zone with the empty platter.

Ash: Snorlax and Charizard, you're in fourth place.

(Snorlax and Charizard looked like they were going to throw up)

Back in the ice cave, Hawlucha and Greninja found another fossil.

Hawlucha: Maybe you should take this one. The last one I tried to break out the ice got shattered.

Greninja: Smart.

Meanwhile, Heracross and Noctowl were pushing their fossil up towards the entrance.

Heracross: My hands are freezing. Let's stop for a bit.

Noctowl: Sounds good. My wings are starting to get cold, anyway.

The both stopped for a bit, letting their hands/wings warm up a little. However, the fossil was sliding downhill. Noctowl noticed it.

Noctowl: Our fossil! It's sliding downhill!

Heracross: After it!

Meanwhile, Squirtle and Totodile arrived at the chill zone with their empty platter.

Pikachu: Squirtle and Totodile, you're in fifth place.

Ash: Also, Totodile, we have Nurse Joy waiting for you. You know, help you with your little... electrical problem.

Squirtle: I'll take Totodile to her.

Swellow and Staraptor arrive at the chill zone with their empty platter.

Ash: Swellow and Staraptor, you're in sixth place.

Palpitoad and Leavanny were the next team to arrive, carrying their empty platter.

Ash: Leavanny and Palpitoad, you're in seventh place.

Pikachu: But, you get a one hour penalty.

(A timer appears, showing sixty minutes on it)

Palpitoad: What now?

Ash: It was an "All In" challenge. Both teammates were suppose to go through the geyser field together after getting the Icelandic sentence wrong.

Pikachu: However, only Leavanny did.

Palpitoad: I knew I should've gone...

Leavanny: Technically, it could've been the same thing.

(Interview)

Palpitoad: I don't believe this! A penalty?!

Leavanny: At least we weren't the last team to board the helicopter.

(End Interview)

Donphan and Scraggy were about to dig out a fossil when the fossil Heracross and Noctowl dug out slid towards them.

Donphan: Well, how about that? There's a fossil over there. And you were worried we were going to come in last.

(Donphan runs to the fossil and begins to push it with its trunk)

Scraggy: I don't know, Donphan. Something about this feels wrong.

Donhpan: The only thing wrong is both of us getting eliminated. Now, come on!

Donphan pushes the fossil and Scraggy follows while Heracross and Noctowl runs back into the ice cave, looking for their fossil.

Noctowl: No sign of the fossil.

Heracross: It's got to be around here somewhere.

Meanwhile, Talonflame and Noivern arrived at the chill zone with their fossil.

Iris: Talonflame and Noivern, you're the seventh team to arrive.

(Talonflame and Noivern high-fived)

Donphan and Scraggy reached the chill zone with the fossil.

Axew: Donphan and Scraggy, you're the eighth team to arrive.

Donphan and Scraggy: WHOO-HOO!

Voice: Wait, that's our fossil!

Donphan and Scraggy looked to see Heracross and Noctowl.

Donphan: Wait, this was your fossil?

Noctowl: Yes.

Scraggy: I knew there was something wrong.

Donphan: Sorry, we didn't know. Here, I'll give it back to you.

(Donphan pushes the fossil back to Heracross and Noctowl when Iris stopped Donphan)

Iris: Sorry, but you'll have to try again.

Noctowl: Say what now?

Heracross: Are you kidding?

(Iris shook her head)

Donphan: If it makes you both feel any better, we didn't know.

(Heracross and Noctowl understood and were thinking about what to do)

Noctowl: Now what? We'll never dig out another fossil in time.

Heracross: Then, we have one option left.

Noctowl: You mean?

Heracross: I hate to say it, but we'll have to... eat the feast.

Corphish and Buizel walked towards the chill zone while Torterra and Infernape were bringing the fossil to the chill zone.

Ash: Corphish and Buizel, you're in ninth place.

Pikachu: Torterra and Infernape, you're in tenth place.

Heracross and Noctowl were both eating the feast. Pignite watches as Oshawott was eating more of the feast.

Pignite: Better hurry, Oshawott. They're eating faster than us.

Oshawott: Don't you think I'm trying? At least you're eating some of it as well.

Back at the chill zone, Greninja and Hawlucha arrived at the chill zone with their fossil.

Axew: Greninja and Hawlucha, you're eleventh place.

Hawlucha: Fire of Moltres, that was close.

(Interview)

Oshawott: Eating that Icelandic feast was the hardest thing I've ever done. Other than training or having a crush.

Heracross: Man, that was some feast. I guess all those times I drank the sap out of Bulbasaur's bulb had its advantages.

Noctowl: I don't feel so good. (Noctowl belches and falls over)

(End Interview)

Bayleef and Quilava arrive at the chill zone with their fossil.

Iris: Bayleef and Quilava, you're in twelfth place. You live to see another day.

(Interview)

Bayleef: I feel like we won't be on the show for long.

Quilava: Yeah, we'll probably get eliminated soon.

Bayleef: At least it's nice to have some fun during the race.

Quilava: Yeah, even though this is starting to get really heavy.

(End Interview)

Palpitoad and Leavanny were waiting for the penalty to be over.

Palpitoad: You sure our penalty is up now?

Ash: Not yet. And here comes the last two teams.

Leavanny and Palpitoad looked to see the other two teams. heading for the chill zone. Heracross, Noctowl Oshawott and Pignite were heading for the chill zone. Leavanny and Palpitoad sees them running and were looking a little worried. The timer was counting down as the last two teams were closing in on the chill zone. The timer for the penalty was over and Leavanny and Palpitoad stepped onto the chill zone.

Ash: Penalty over. Leavanny and Palpitoad, you're in thirteenth place.

(Oshawott and Pignite reached the chill zone)

Pikachu: Oshawott and Pignite, you're in fourteenth place.

Oshawott and Pignite bumped stomach together.

Pignite: Phew!

Oshawott: Another minute and we'd be out of the race.

Heracross and Noctowl arrived at the chill zone.

Axew: Well, Heracross and Noctowl, you're the last team to arrive.

Iris: But, we have good news for you. This is a non-elimination round. You get to stay in the race for another day.

(Heracross and Noctowl gasps)

(Interview)

Heracross: A non-elimination round?! You're kidding us!

Noctowl: Well, at least the feast was made from Pokémon food. Very clever, I'll give them that.

(End Interview)

Heracross: Wait, so that means... we ate that whole feast... for nothing?!

(Heracross uses Megahorn)

Ash: I'd start running if I were you, Iris.

Iris: Good idea.

Iris runs as Heracross chases after her. Iris dropped one of her Poke Balls and it opens, revealing Emolga.

Emolga: Huh? Where's Iris?

Pikachu: Oh, hey, Emolga. Iris is kind of being chased by Heracross at the moment.

Emolga: Oh. So, what's going on?

Voice: EMOLGA!

Emolga looks and sees Snivy standing by the chill zone. Bulbasaur was trying to calm her down.

Bulbasaur: Snivy, calm down. Don't do anything you'll regret.

(Snivy pushes Bulbasaur out of the way)

Snivy: Get out of my way.

Pikachu: Snivy?

Emolga: What do you want, leaf for brains?

Snivy: Pignite told me you left Oshawott out in the cold one time.

Emolga: So?

Snivy: He was frozen and nearly lost his tail because of you.

Emolga: That's what he gets for bringing me a sour apple.

Snivy: Ash, can you please tell Emolga that the time we were separated during the race was the best part of the race so far?

Emolga: Oh, yeah? Please tell Snivy that before Iris caught me and before she and Snivy were in my life was THE BEST PART OF MY LIFE SO FAR!

Snivy: Say that again. I dare you!

Ash and Pikachu got in front of them, trying to stop them from fighting.

Ash: Break it up, both of you!

Pikachu: Ash is right. If the both of you are going to fight, save it for after the race.

(The two female Pokémon glared at each other)

Snivy: Fine.

Emolga: Whatever.

(Snivy and Emolga walked away)

Emolga: Loser.

Snivy: Jerk.

They both stopped and looked at each other with rage in their eyes.

Both: WHY, YOU!

(Emolga and Snivy attacked each other)

Bulbasaur: Don't you think you're being a little harsh, Snivy?

(Snivy was holding Emolga back with Vine Whip)

Snivy: I've taken this kind of garbage from her since Unova. It's about time she got a taste of her own medicine.

(Interview)

Bulbasaur: Wow, since Unova? I almost feel sorry for her.

(End Interview)

Ash and Pikachu were both a little worried. Leavanny, Palpitoad, Oshawott and Pignite were shocked as they watched the fight.

Pikachu: Okay... Maybe we should get some help.

(Ash nods and looks at the camera)

Ash: Next time on "The Ashtounding Race"... Brazil.

Ash turns to his Pokémon and his friends.

Ash: Can we get some help over here? Come on!
