Swellow and Staraptor were in the Catacombs, looking at all the skulls scattered around the area.

Swellow: Sure is creepy. I hate to imagine how many people were lost from the Plague.

Staraptor: I hear you. Braixen told me that if Ash got the Plague, Serena would get infected as well, so they can both pass away together at the same time, in the same way.

Swellow: Unfezant told me the same thing, but with Oshawott and Snivy. I think Unfezant is best friends with Snivy.

Staraptor: Like Bulbasaur and Squirtle?

(Swellow nods)

Staraptor: Wow. Love can be a beautiful thing, sometimes.

Meanwhile, Infernape was finishing up the drawing of Torterra while Palpitoad was drawing Leavanny. Sceptile and Unfezant arrived at the Eiffel Tower with bags.

(Interview)

Unfezant: I never shopped for so many outfits in my life.

Sceptile: Worth it, though. Getting that flat tire was the best thing that happened to us.

Unfezant: I mean, finding outfits like these isn't easy these days. May, Dawn even Serena would look great in these, though.

Sceptile: Truth.

(End Interview)

Noivern, Scraggy and Quilava showed Tracy and Marill their drawings. They both look at them.

Tracy: Not bad. They turned out great.

Marill: Good pieces of artwork.

(They give the teams their tips)

Noibat: Come on, let's head for the Catacombs.

(The three teams run to the tunnel)

Meanwhile, three taxis arrived at the Eiffel Tower, dropping off Heracross, Noctowl, Oshawott, Pignite, Kingler and Muk. The three teams ran to the Eiffel Tower.

Muk: Come on, if we hurry, we can catch up with a few of the other teams.

Kingler: Let's move.

Back in the catacombs, Hawlucha and Greninja stopped at three tunnels. Hawlucha sniffs, finding out which tunnel leads to the exit.

Greninja: Okay, what are you doing?

Hawlucha: I trained my nose to help sniff off Pokémon poachers. People think they can capture wild Pokémon and lock them in cages, so they can sell them for money... (Hawlucha punches his fist into his hand) Not on my watch, buddy! (Hawlucha sniffs and points at one of the tunnels) This tunnel should lead us to the exit. I'll check it out.

(Hawlucha runs into the tunnel when Greninja suddenly hears him screaming)

Greninja: What happened?! I heard screaming!

Hawlucha: GET IT OFF ME!

Greninja looks to see a skeleton on Hawlucha.

Greninja: Could be worse, it could've been a ghost Pokémon.

Meanwhile, Corphish, Torkoal, Unfezant, Krookodile, Palpitoad and Infernape were drawing Buizel, Glalie, Sceptile, Boldore, Leavanny and Torterra. They were almost finished drawing.

Ash: As some of the teams struggle to find their way through the Parisian catacombs, others are still drawing the first challenge to a conclusion. "Drawing". See what I did there?

Serena: Good one.

The teams each showed their drawings. Tracy and Marill liked how they turned out and gives them each their travel tip. Afterwards, the teams ran to the catacombs. Back in the catacombs, Charizard and Snorlax were looking around for the exit.

Snorlax: That cheese has to be around here somewhere.

Charizard: If we had any kind of a lead, we probably lost it by now.

(Charizard walks pass a skull and looks down, its eyes widened)

Charizard: Hold the phone... I've seen that skull before. Then, that means... Oh, man! We're going around in circles!

Snorlax: So is my tummy. (Snorlax belches) Uh oh. You see any restroom signs?

(Interview)

Snorlax was running around the tunnel, looking for a restroom.

Charizard: Snorlax hasn't been having any... issues since it ate that stew in Morocco. To be honest, we knew it would happen. We just didn't know when.

(End Interview)

Totodile and Squirtle were running in the tunnels until they reached a dead end.

Totodile: Rats. That's the third dead end we hit.

Squirtle: Not to worry, pal. If we keep finding all the dead ends, the only path left will be the right one.

(Interview)

Squirtle: We're both "glass half full" kind of Pokémon. But, since there's two of us, we pour our glasses together and boom, we got a full glass.

Totodile: How do you like that, science?

(They both bump fists)

Both: Boom.

(End Interview)

Back up top, Heracross, Noctowl, Kingler and Muk finished their pictures and after they got their travel tips from Tracy and Marill, they head for the catacombs.

(Interview)

Kingler: I got a plan. We follow the Johto Pokémon to the cheese then rocket past them and win the thing.

Muk: Risky, but it just might work.

(End Interview)

Inside the catacombs, Bayleef and Quilava ran through the tunnels, looking for the exit when they saw two pairs of eyes and screamed. That's when they see Boldore and Krookodile.

Bayleef: Oh, it's just you guys. You scared us for a moment there.

Quilava: Sorry, it's a little scary down here in the catacombs.

Krookodile: Reminds me of the Chargestone Cave back in the Unova region.

(Interview)

Krookodile: Back when I was Krokorok, before I joined Ash and his friends, I actually went to Chargestone Cave, found a pen and tossed it. Little did I know, it landed into the gears of a Klinklang. Honestly, I didn't even know it was there. Of course, I eventually found Ash and had a battle with Pikachu before I joined them later on, but that's another story.

(End Interview)

Hawlucha smells for the Roquefort cheese. Greninja follows him to a doorway.

Hawlucha: Judging by the scent, I'd say that's the Roquefort cheese. Aged about... three years.

(Greninja hears running water)

Greninja: Do you hear running water?

(They both look to see the doorway)

Greninja: That must be the way out.

Hawlucha: Only one way to find out.

Greninja and Hawlucha run outside and looked to see the wheels of Roquefort cheese.

Hawlucha: Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!

(Hawlucha grabs one of the cheese wheels)

Hawlucha: You're coming with us.

(Greninja and Hawlucha look to see Bulbasaur and Snivy reach the exit)

Greninja: Looks like Bulbasaur and Snivy reached the exit as well.

(Bulbasaur sees a sign next to the cheese and reads it)

Bulbasaur: Take your cheese and sail away to where Mona Lisa's on display.

(Greninja snaps its fingers)

Greninja: The Louvre. That must be where the Mona Lisa is.

Ash, Serena, Braixen and Pikachu were at The Louvre.

Serena: The Louvre. Home to many great paintings, including the Mona Lisa.

Ash: It's also the chill zone for this part of the race.

Braixen: Last team to reach the carpet of completion, may be out of the running.

Pikachu: But, the race for first place is kicking into high gear.

Bulbasaur and Snivy threw one of the chesse wheels into the water and jump onto it. The cheese started sailing away.

Snivy: See you at the finish line!

Hawlucha: Too bad you forgot your oars!

(Greninja holds out a couple of oars)

Bulbasaur and Snivy were shocked.

Bulbasaur: DARN IT! I knew we forgot something.

Hawlucha and Greninja were on one of the cheese wheels and start using the oars to paddle by Bulbasaur and Snivy.

Greninja: What's French for "Boo-yah"!

Back in the catacombs, Kingler, Muk, Heracross and Noctowl looked around for the exit.

Muk: If this is what French cheese smells like, I'm officially lactose intolerant.

(Kingler and Muk laughs)

Kingler: I'm officially YOU intolerant.

(They both laugh)

Heracross and Noctowl stopped by a doorway, following the scent.

Noctowl: It's coming from in there.

Heracross and Noctowl opened the door and were then blown away by a huge belch. Snorlax was standing by the doorway.

Snorlax: Man, that Moroccan stew can really rip through a guy.

Meanwhile, Sceptile and Unfezant were walking through the catacombs.

Sceptile: This joint gives me the creeps. I feel like I'm being watched.

Unfezant: Hey, Sceptile.

(Sceptile looks to see Unfezant using a skeleton as a puppet)

Unfezant: I have a bone to pick with you.

(They both laugh)

Unfezant hears something and looks at the doorway to see a shadow.

Unfezant: Uh... Sceptile?

Sceptile looks back and sees the shadow. Suddenly, the shadowy figure roars and Sceptile and Unfezant screams. They ran away and the shadowy figure walks out of the doorway. It was a Rattata and it laughs.

Meanwhile, Talonflame and Noivern had reached the end of the tunnels and set the cheese wheel into the water. They each grabbed an oar and began paddling.

(Interview)

Talonflame: Noivern's echolocation was very useful in the tunnels. One time, when he was Noibat, he used it to help scare off Team Rocket in a dark cave. He also used it to find some moss for some medicine to help a sick Pokémon. Believe me and Hawlucha, half the teams would have better luck escaping a hedge maze than the catacombs.

(End Interview)

Palpitoad and Leavanny, Swellow and Staraptor, Boldore and Krookodile, Bayleef and Quilava each grabbed a wheel of cheese, threw them into the water and began paddling with the oars.

Meanwhile, Hawlucha and Greninja were still paddling when they see Bulbasaur and Snivy using their Vine Whip to paddle through the water.

Hawlucha: No way!

(Interview)

Bulbasaur: It'll take more than a couple of missing paddles to stop us.

Snivy: Got that right. We've faced worse situations than this, even before we joined Ash.

(End Interview)

Bulbasaur and Snivy paddled past Hawlucha and Greninja.

Hawlucha: Those two get smarter by the minute.

Greninja: No kidding.

Torterra and Infernape, Squirtle and Totodile, Donphan and Scraggy were paddling through the water with oars on the wheels of cheese. Meanwhile, Heracross, Noctowl, Kingler and Muk were still in the catacombs, looking for a way out.

Serena: Most of the teams have already reached the water and are heading for the Louvre.

Ash: As for those who are still in the catacombs, their biggest challenge is to not come in last.

Charizard and Snorlax had reached the exit and saw their next tip next to the wheels of cheese.

Charizard: We made it out and there's our next tip, along with plenty of cheese wheels.

(Charizard reads the tip as Snorlax grabs one of the cheese wheels)

Charizard: Okay, I'll grab the oars and you take the cheese wheel. We're still in this.

Charizard looks back and was shocked to see Snorlax eating one of the cheese wheels.

Charizard: Please tell me you're joking.

Snorlax: What? Cheese is good for you.

Meanwhile, Snivy and Bulbasaur were closing in on the Louvre.

Snivy: Over there! I see the Louvre!

Bulbsaur and Snivy arrived at a dock and began to take the cheese wheel out of the water. They noticed Greninja and Hawlucha were heading out of the water as well.

Hawlucha: Let's move.

Greninja: Right behind you.

Bulbasaur and Snivy noticed and follows them. The two teams raced upstairs and made their way to the Louvre. Both teams were getting close to the chill zone. Ash, Pikachu, Serena and Braixen were waiting at the chill zone when they see Hawlucha and Greninja make it to the rug.

Serena: Well, Hawlucha and Greninja, you're in first place.

Ash: And Bulbasaur and Snivy are in second place.

Snivy: Wise guys.

Bulbasaur: At least we did a little better than last time.

Back at the river, Leavanny, Palpitoad, Talonflame and Noivern were paddling towards the Lourve, closing in. Behind them was Charizard and Snorlax. However, Snorlax was eating the wheel of cheese.

Charizard: Snorlax, quit eating the cheese! The thing's our raft!

Snorlax: Sorry, I'll take one last bite. (Snorlax eats one more piece) Okay, last one for real.

Meanwhile, Swellow and Staraptor were catching up when Staraptor jumps into the water.

Swellow: What are you doing?

Staraptor: Time to put this cheese into overdrive.

Staraptor uses Brave Bird, speeding up the cheese. A few minutes later, half the cheese has melted.

Staraptor: Oops.

Swellow: At least it helped us catch up with the other teams.

Charizard was now standing on Snorlax and using started using the oar to row. Back at the tunnels, Sceptile and Unfezant arrived at the cheese wheels and Unfezant was tossing Sceptile some of the bags of clothes onto the wheel of cheese.

Unfezant: Careful, the last thing we need is those clothes getting wet.

Sceptile: Don't worry, I got them. But, judging by the lack of space here, you're going to have to swim.

Unfezant: Very well. But, only because there's no room.

(Unfezant jumps into the water)

Meanwhile, Squirtle and Totodile ran to the chill zone with their cheese wheel.

Ash: Squirtle and Totodile, you're in third place.

(Interview)

Squirtle and Totodile cheered and bumped chests.

(End Interview)

Talonflame and Noivern came in fourth, Donphan and Scraggy came in fifth and Corphish and Buizel came in sixth.

Noctowl, Heracross, Kingler and Muk make it out of the catacombs, grabbed a cheese wheel and jumped into the water. They began paddling through the water.

Serena: And here comes some more teams.

Sceptile and Unfezant seventh place. Swellow and Staraptor came in eighth place.

Braixen: Torkoal and Glalie are in ninth.

Pikachu: Followed by Torterra and Infernape in tenth. And here comes Charizard and Snorlax.

Pikachu stopped them in their tracks and a timer appeared.

Pikachu: Sorry, guys. But, you have a twenty minute penalty.

Snorlax: What?! Why?!

Pikachu: The tip said to sail the cheese down the river.

Snorlax: But, it's inside me. You mean it doesn't count?

Pikachu: Sorry, but step aside and hope you're not the last team.

Ash: Four teams are still catching up.

Kingler, Muk, Heracross and Noctowl were still paddling when Oshawott and Pignite passed them.

(Interview)

Heracross: Coming in last made us realize we need to speed things up.

Noctowl: No way we're heading home yet.

(End Interview)

Heracross and Noctowl paddled faster and passed Kingler and Muk.

Leavanny and Palpitoad came in eleventh place. Bayleef and Quilava came in twelfth place. Boldore and Krookodile came in thirteenth place.

(Charizard was waiting and Snorlax was sweating)

Pikachu: Looks like someone's got the cheese sweats.

(Charizard slips)

Heracross and Noctowl, along with Oshawott and Pignite head for the chill zone, carrying their own cheese.

Braixen: Heracross and Noctowl, you're in fourteenth place.

Serena: And Oshawott and Pignite take fifteenth.

Charizard: Not good.

Snorlax: Oh, no! Here comes Kingler and Muk!

(Interview)

Snorlax: I'm going to feel so bad if eating that cheese costs us to be eliminated. And the worst part... I COULD REALLY GO FOR SOME CHEESE RIGHT NOW! (Snorlax sobs) I have no self-control!

(Charizard held out its hand)

Charizard: Pick out two fingers.

Snorlax: One, two.

(Charizard poke Snorlax in the eyes)

Kingler and Muk were both struggling to get their wheel of cheese up the stairs. The timer had two minutes left. Snorlax was looking worried. Kingler and Muk started carrying the cheese towards the chill zone.

(Interview)

Muk: Things were looking pretty grim.

Kingler: It would be a shame to go home now.

(End Interview)

Kingler and Muk: Almost, there.

(The timer had a few seconds left)

Snorlax and Charizard were about to run as Kingler and Muk were getting close to the chill zone. Suddenly, the timer buzzed.

Pikachu: Charizard and Snorlax, your penalty is up.

Both teams jumped towards the chill zone. They looked to see that they were all on the carpet.

Kingler: It's a tie! We all stay!

Ash: Not quite, Kingler. I'm afraid you and Muk are going home.

Muk: What?! Why?

Pikachu: Kingler's foot wasn't entirely on the carpet, it was just out.

Kingler: What?! You need glasses, fool? That foot was in the line!

Pikachu: I do not need glasses and your foot was out.

Ash: And in case you don't believe us, here's an instant replay.

Ash shows them a TV screen. It shows the teams in slow motion. Snorlax, Charizard, Kingler and Muk were on the carpet. However, one of Kingler's feet was outside the carpet.

Kingler: So, it wasn't in?

Pikachu: Yep. And the both of you are out.

(Footage of Kingler and Muk plays)

Kingler: Well, that was a disaster.

Muk: At least we didn't go home first.

Kingler: True. I guess that's one good thing.

Muk: Plus, we did make some new friends along the way.

Kingler: I guess so. This race was kind of fun.

Muk: We didn't win half a million each, but we did have fun.

(Footage ends)

Kingler and Muk were floating away on the wheel of cheese on the river.

Kingler: So, since we lost the race, what happens now?

Muk: Head home, I guess. At least we have some cheese for the road.

They both laugh as they sail away.
