The Pokémon followed Lianna into the gym. Lianna's Eevee ride on Lianna's head. Lianna smiled at Eevee as she entered the gym. Eevee smiled back. The gym is big. "Big place here." Lianna responded. "Vee." Eevee responded, looking around. Lianna then noticed Brock. "Hello sir? Are you Brock?" Lianna asked him. "Why yes I am. And you are?" Brock asked Lianna. "My name is Lianna the Bunny, from the Johto Region. And I am here to challenge you!" Lianna announced. "Oh you're from Johto? Well that's interesting. Tell me, how many badges do you have?" Brock asked Lianna. "8 badges that you aren't familiar with." Lianna explained, holding up her badge case with those 8 badges.

Brock inspected the badges. "Oh, I've never seen those badges, but they look like some from the Demi Region." Brock replied. "You could say that." Lianna replied. "So I guess I'll be using some of my super strong Pokémon that are high level..." Brock explained. "Uh... I guess maybe?" Lianna asked nervously. "What's wrong?" Brock asked. "I wasn't planning on using my old Pokémon... I wanted to use these new ones I caught..." Lianna replied nervously. "Oh I see. In that case, I know the perfect Pokémon to use." Brock replied. "Okay?" Lianna asked. "You ready?" Brock asked. "Sure. Go Goldeen!" Lianna called, sending out her Goldeen. Goldeen comes out. Brock sends out Geodude. "Geodude!" Geodude announced. Lianna quickly scanned Goldeen. Goldeen still knew Peck, Horn Attack, Splash and Water Pulse. "Use Water Pulse!" Lianna commanded. "Geodude, protect!" Brock responded. Geodude used Protect and made a barrier, stopping the water pulse. "Jump up and go behind it and shoot Water Pulse there!" Lianna instructed. Goldeen does so but there is still a barrier there. "Now Rock Throw!" Brock commanded. Geodude does so and hits Goldeen. "Be careful, girl! Try another Water Pulse!" Lianna commanded. Goldeen used it and hits Geodude. Geodude fainted quickly.

"That was easy." Lianna remarked. "Too easy?" Brock asked, returning Geodude. "Go Steelix!" Brock announced, throwing a Pokéball. A large metal snake Pokémon came out, a Steelix. "Oh dear... Try to use another Water Pulse!" Lianna announced. Goldeen does so, but not doing a lot of damage. "Oh dear..." Lianna said, gulping. "Try it again!" Lianna instructed. The same thing happened. "Steelix, Tackle!" Brock commanded. Steelix uses it and rams into Goldeen. Goldeen takes damage. "Be careful, Goldeen!" Lianna warned. Goldeen falls on the ground and lands, splashing around. Lianna used a Super Potion. "Now, use Water Pulse again!" Lianna commanded. Goldeen felt better after the Super Potion and uses Water Pulse. "Steelix! Dragon Breath!" Brock shouted. Steelix uses Dragon Breath and overpowers Water Pulse. "Oh shoot!" Lianna cried, frowning. Goldeen falls to the ground. "Try it again!" Lianna called to Goldeen. "Tackle!" Brock announced. Steelix does so and rams into Goldeen. "Oh dear! Get up Goldeen!" Lianna cried. Goldeen fortunately gets up. "Good job!" Lianna announced. "Goldeen." Goldeen called to Lianna. "Water Pulse!" Lianna called to Goldeen. Goldeen used it and hits Steelix. "Good job! Use it again!" Lianna commanded. Goldeen does so and hits Steelix again. "Tackle!" Brock commanded and Steelix tackled Goldeen. Goldeen fainted.

"Okay... You may have knocked down one of my pals... But let's see how well this goes! Go Oddish!" Lianna called, sending out Oddish. Oddish comes out. "A grass type? Not bad, but you know Steelix is a Ground and Steel type, right?" Brock asked Lianna. "Oh yeah... Grass Types are Super Effective against Ground types, but not Steel Types..." Lianna said out loud. "Yep. All you'll do is normal amounts of damage." Brock replied. "Oh... Use Absorb!" Lianna commanded either way. Oddish uses it and hits Steelix. "Good job!" Lianna called to Oddish. "Oddish!" Oddish replied back. "Tackle!" Brock commanded. Steelix does so and charges at Oddish. "Dodge it, quick!" Lianna called. Oddish jumps and rolls out of the way. Steelix's tackle missed. "Use Absorb again!" Lianna commanded. Oddish uses it and it hits Onix. "Tackle!" Brock commanded. Steelix uses it and hits Oddish. "Hang on!" Lianna called, healing up Oddish as well as Goldeen. The Pokémon feel better. "Oddish, Stun Spore!" Lianna called. Oddish uses it and hits Steelix. Steelix is now paralyzed. "No! Steelix!" Brock called. "Use Absorb! Max Power!" Lianna called. Oddish uses it and it hits. Steelix toppled down, fainted. "Great job Oddish!" Lianna called to Oddish.

Oddish jumped for joy. "Well done." Brock congratulated Lianna, then went over to her. "You've beaten me with the faith and love of your Pokémon and for that, here's your badge." Brock congratulated Lianna, presenting Lianna with A Boulder Badge. "Oh thank you so much, Brock! I'll cherish this gym badge forever!" Lianna announced. "That's great, and he careful out there. It's going to be tougher from here on." Brock warned. "Okay. But we'll do our best. Ready Eevee?" Lianna asked Eevee, getting ready to give her a High Five.

Eevee jumped and have Lianna a High Five with her tail. "Thank you Brock!" Lianna said happily. "You're welcome." Brock replied. Lianna smiled happily. "Vee?" Eevee asked Lianna. "Anyway, farewell, Brock!" Lianna called to Brock. "Good luck on your journey!" Brock called.

And so, with one gym badge under Lianna's belt, Lianna and her Eevee headed out on their journey. Eevee followed Lianna and climbed onto her head as the two of them smiled at each other as they would soon head off to the Pokémon Center and then off on a new exciting adventure!
