Lianna entered inside of the gym for her gym battle against the Electric Type specialist, Lt.Surge. No one was inside, except for Lt.Surge himself and a blue haired woman. "Hello?" Lianna asked. They happened to be talking to one another. Lianna was waiting for a chance to talk to Lt.Surge. "Vee!" Eevee called, jumping off of Lianna's head and running up to them.

"Eevee!" Lianna cried. Eevee turned around and called for Lianna, jumping for joy. Lianna approached Eevee. "Hey! Who are you?" The blue haired girl asked. "The name is Lianna the Bunny." Lianna explained. "And what are you doing here?" She asked her. "To challenge Lt.Surge to a gym battle." Lianna replied. "Really? Well, what makes you think you can battle him?!" She questioned. "I have two gym badges already." Lianna said. "Oh please don't worry about her, I'll battle anyone." Lt.Surge said to Lianna. "Oh that sounds like a plan to me!" Lianna called out. "Okay, whenever you're ready." He said.

"Ready Charmander?" Lianna asked. Eevee pointed to his ball. "Oh!" Lianna said, sending him out. Charmander came out of the ball with a shiny pattern. "Go!" Lt.Surge called out, sending out a Voltorb. "Dragon Rage!" Lianna ordered. Charmander did so and hit Voltorb. "Use Shock Wave!" He ordered. "Jump and use Ember!" Lianna ordered. Charmander jumped but got hit and took damage. Charmander jumped but the Shock Wave hit. Charmander took damage. "Shoot! Try again!" Lianna cried out. Charmander used Ember and it hit Voltorb. "Voltorb, use Mirror Coat!" Lt. Surge commanded. Voltorb used it and hits back at Charmander, doing double the damage that Ember did.

"Charmander!" Lianna cried out. Charmander fell back. "Metal Claw!" She commanded. Charmander used it. "Rollout!" Lt. Surge commanded. Voltorb used Rollout and hit Charmander first. "Hang on!" Lianna cried out. Fortunately, Charmander got up. "Good job, now Dragon Rage!" Lianna commanded. Charmander used it and hit Voltorb. Voltorb took damage and used Rollout again, which caused Charmander to take more damage. Lianna used a Super Potion. Charmander felt better. "Metal Claw!" Lianna commanded. Charmander used it but it missed. Voltorb used Rollout for a third time and fainted Charmander.

"No!" Lianna cried out and returned him. Charmander was returned to his ball. "Ready Diglett?" She asked Diglett, sending him out. Diglett was sent out. "Dig!" She commanded. Diglett dug a hole, and Voltorb's Rollout missed. "Go Diglett Go!" Lianna cheered. Diglett used Dig and hit Voltorb, fainting it. "Yes!" Lianna called out. Lt. Surge returned Voltorb. "Not bad rabbit, but now try..." He said, sending out another Pokémon. A Magnemite came out.

"Dig!" Lianna commanded. Diglett dug down into the ground. "Magnet Rise." Lt.Surge commanded. Magnemite used it. "What does that do?" Lianna asked. "It stops all Ground Type moves from making contact for a while, which means Dig is useless now." He explained. "Oh no!" Lianna cried out. Diglett dug out but Dig did nothing. "Use Scratch!" Lianna commanded. Diglett did so but it did little damage. "Use Hidden Power!" Lt. Surge commanded. Magnemite used it and hit Diglett. Diglett fainted. Lianna stood there, jaw dropped.

"Yeah, not prepared for that." He said. "It's up to you Eevee." She said to her. "Vee!" Eevee called out, jumping into action. "Iron Tail!" Lianna commanded. Eevee used and hits Magnemite. Magnemite took little damage. "Thundershock." Lt.Surge commanded. Magnemite used it. "Dodge and counter with Iron Tail!" Lianna commanded. Eevee avoided the attack and hit Magnemite. Magnemite took a small amount of damage. "You need to do better than Iron Tail." Lt.Surge said.

"Unleash the Hyper Beam!" She commanded. Eevee fired the Hyper Beam at Magnemite, which fainted it. "Yes!" Lianna called out. Lt.Surge returned Magnemite and threw a Pokéball, sending out a Raichu. "A Raichu?" Lianna asked. "That's right, Raichu. My strongest Electric Type Pokémon." He said. "Use Quick Attack!" Lianna called out. Eevee does so and hits Raichu. Raichu felt nothing from that. "It didn't do a thing?!" Lianna asked out loud in shock.

Eevee was shocked. "That's right, it's going to take a lot more than a Quick Attack to beat Raichu." Lt.Surge said. "Hyper Beam!" Lianna commanded. "Dodge it and use Thunderbolt!" Lt.Surge commanded. Raichu avoided the Hyper Beam and tired a Thunderbolt at Eevee, fainting her. "No!" Lianna cried out in defeat. "Well kid, you tried your best, but your Pokémon were not strong enough to beat me." He said. "I will get stronger! I will defeat you!" Lianna explained.

"Okay. Come back anytime." He said. Lianna sighed and headed back to the Pokémon Center to heal up.
