Lianna decided to go outside with her pals. "I will be around this area..." Lianna said, taking her pals outside and sending out Charmander, Bellsprout, Oddish and Drowzee. "Hey guys!" Lianna called out to them. They all come out and see her. Lianna went ahead and scanned Drowzee. It knew Pound, Hypnosis and Poison Gas. Lianna scanned for Drowzee's gender and he was a male.

"Hey Bellsprout! Oddish, how about we train with one another and maybe you two might evolve?" Lianna asked her pals. They both agreed. "Okay! I want to see you two against one another." Lianna said. Bellsprout and Oddish got ready. "Let's do this!" Lianna called out as the two pals jumped into action. "Bellsprout, Razor Leaf! Oddish, use Absorb!" Lianna commanded. Both of them used their moves but Bellsprout bit first. "Keep doing it! I know you two can do it!" Lianna called out with a smile.

The Pokémon continued to fight, giving it everything they got. Lianna cheered them on as they battled. After a while, they started to slow down. Lianna got right to healing them up. They felt better. "You two are doing great! I feel like you two could evolve any second!" Lianna called out. They felt like it. Lianna smiled wide.

Meanwhile Filia and Nurse Joy are watching a big battle on the TV. Lianna was cheering on Bellsprout and Oddish as they trained more and battled against each other. They battled but eventually Oddish got tired and took damage from an attack caused by Bellsprout. "Oh dear! Hang on, Oddish!" Lianna called out. Bellsprout stopped attacking. "O-Oddish?" Lianna asked in worry. Oddish sat down to rest. "Oh dear.." Lianna said nervously.

"Your Oddish wants a break!" Filia called out to Lianna. "Okay!" Lianna called back. "No Fukua, do something." Filia said out loud. "Huh? What's going on?" Lianna asked. Bellsprout and Oddish headed inside with Lianna to go check out what was going on. Filia was watching the Pokémon Battle on TV. "What is this?" Lianna asked. "It's a refund of the Island League Tournament that was held last year, and my sister was in the finals." Filia explained. "Oh!" Lianna called out. "It's amazing. She might become the strongest trainer in the world." Filia explained. "Yeah. It sounds cool." Lianna said.

On the TV, Fukua threw out a Pokéball and a Lapras popped out. "And Fukua's next Pokémon is Lapras. How will this Pokémon do against Fredrick's Metagross?" The host asked out loud. Fredrick stood with confidence. "A Lapras?" Lianna asked in awe. "Yep. One of her best Pokémon, I'm surprised she kept that." Filia said. "I really want a Lapras. They're so gentle and cute!" Lianna explained. "I know right?" Filia asked.

On the TV, the battle was going on. "Lapras, use Ice Beam!" Fukua commanded. Lapras used it and hit Metagross. "Metagross, use Flash Cannon!" Frederick commanded. Metagross used it and hit Lapras hard.

"Now then, the heart of mine and my Pokémon are one, and with that so call upon the power of..." Frederick started to say, raising his arm and showing his Mega Ring. "NOW MEGA EVOLVE!" He shouted. Metagross started to glow and change shape. It evolved into a Mega Metagross. "Well, would you look at that folks! Mega Evolution! Frederick has Mega Evolved his Metagross!" The host called out. "Woah! Mega Evolution!" Lianna called out in awe.

"That's right, it's allowed at the Island League." Filia explained. "This is incredible! I would really love Mega Evolution as well!" Lianna called out. "Oh, well if you collect all 8 gym badges, Professor Oak might give you one." Filia explained. "Ooh! This sounds interesting!" Lianna called out. "It is, that's what I am aiming for." Filia said. "Imagine I could get myself some Mega Stones. I have a couple Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution." Lianna explained. "So do I." Filia said. "I have a Pidgeot, and then I also have an Ivysaur, Wartortle and Charmander. That would be four Pokémon right there capable of Mega Evolution." Lianna said. "Well they can work, but you only get the starter stones." Filia said.

"I could never be able to get a Mega Stone for Pidgeot?" Lianna asked. "Well that's because you got to find it in Kanto." Filia explained. "Oh! Okay!" Lianna called out. "I'm sure you can find them." Filia said. "Alright!" Lianna said happily. Filia smiled.

On the TV, the battle continued. "Use Body Slam!" Filia commanded her Lapras. Lapras jumped and landed on Metagross. "Metagross, shake it off and use Meteor Mash!" Frederick called out. Metagross used and it forced Lapras off. Lapras fainted. "Wow! I got to get my hands on a Metagross!" Lianna called out. "Really? But it's very rare." Filia said. "At least a Beldum." Lianna said. "Still hard to find, it's not even in Kanto." Filia explained. "Maybe in Hoenn." Lianna explained. "And in Unova and Alola." Filia explained.

On the TV, Fukua returned Lapras. "Good work Lapras." She said, thinking out loud, before throwing out a Timer Ball. A Tapu Koko came out of the ball. "Look at this folks! Fukua's Tapu Mojo has returned to the battle!" The host called out. "A Tapu Koko?!" Lianna cried out. "Yes, my sister has legendary Pokémon." Filia explained. "Wow!" Lianna called out. "I know." Filia said. Lianna watched the battle.

"Tapu Koko, use Thunder!" Fukua commanded. Tapu Koko used Thunder. "Metagross use Psychic!" Frederick commanded. "Woah!" Lianna called out. Metagross pushed back the Thunder with Psychic. "Tapu Koko dodge it!" Fukua commanded. Tapu Koko dodged the attack. "Now use Hidden Power!" She commanded Tapu Koko. "Use Flash Cannon!" Frederick commanded. They both fired their attacks but Flash Cannon hit Tapu Koko first, fainting it. "Wow! This is amazing!" Lianna called out.

"Aww.. Tapu Koko got knocked out, and it did so well against Frederick's Scizor and Spiritomb." Filia said disappointed. "Imagine when I partake in this tournament." Lianna said. "You're going for League Island?" Filia asked. "Yep." Lianna said. "Wow. I guess we'll both be going then." Filia said. "Cool!" Lianna called out. "But you need 8 badges and an invitation to partake." Filia said. "I do far have two badges." Lianna said. "Oh, so you got a while to go." Filia said. "Yeah." Lianna said. "So do I." Filia said. "How many badges do you have?" Lianna asked. "I have three badges." Filia replied.

"Oh boy! You're one step ahead of me." Lianna said. "Yep, I train and battle. That's me." Filia said. "I need a Ground Type for my next gym battle." Lianna said. "Why don't you go to Diglett's Cave, you can find Ground Types there." Filia explained. "Great idea!" Lianna called out. "Yeah, it's where I caught my Ground Type." Filia explained. "Okay!" Lianna said.

"Okay." Filia said. "Woah! A double hyper beam and it explodes!" The host on TV called out. Both the Metagross and the Blastoise on TV have to recharge. Lianna gasped. "Woah!" Lianna called out. "Here it comes, Lianna." Filia said. "The final part?" Lianna asked. "That's right." Filia said. Lianna watched the TV. "Metagross, finish it with Meteor Mash!" Frederick commanded. "Blastoise, Aqua Tail!" Fukua commanded. Both moves clashed, with Blastoise overpowering the Meteor Mash. Metagross fainted. "Metagross is unable to battle, Blastoise wins. Which means the winner and champion is Fukua Ketchum of the Kanto Region!" The referee shouted. The crowd cheers loudly. "And there you have it folks, Fukua Ketchum is the strongest trainer in the world!" The host called out. Fukua was speechless.

"Oh my Arceus! She did it!" Lianna called out. "She did it. She won." Filia said. "That's amazing!" Lianna said out loud. "I know, she's the best." Filia said. "Imagine if I end up on top..." Lianna said. "That would be amazing, you: the strongest trainer in the world. Although that will go to me." Filia said. "We'll have to wait and see." Lianna said. "I know we will." Filia said. Fukua was smiling and waving on TV.

"I am going to check out Diglett's Cave now." Lianna said. "Okay, see you soon. I'll be heading to the next town soon." Filia said. "Okay." Lianna said, heading off to Diglett's Cave with her Pokémon.
