       There were screams coming from the lonely house in the outback of Australia. The screams of a young girl as the mother was striking her back. The teenager was stripped down from her clothes, her back covered in blood as her mother strike her more with a whip.

The young girl was Lea. A 18 year old girl. This had been going gone since her father left her which was a year ago. She had a baby brother named Cody who was 1 year old.

"I told you to not use that witchcraft!!!" Lea's mother screamed in rage whipping her again.

More blood ooze from her back. The white stubs on her back were breaking through her back and around them on her skin was swollen and bleeding.

Lea was crying in tears. And screamed everytime she was whipped. It was like this for years. Once the whipping was over which felt for hours, her mother grabbed her by her hair and threw her in her bedroom. Then opened the closet and pushed Lea inside.

"Mom! Please no!" Lea begged, but her mother slammed the door and locked it from outside. Lea broke down and sat in her closet in complete darkness.

My mother has done this to me for a whole year...because my father left us. She blamed me for his depart. Then 9 months later after he left, my little brother Cody was born. My mother treats him like the favorite as if he was her only child. Like a mother truly loves her child. But with me...I'm like a monster to her. I'm some devil spawn she sees me as. Because I have powers. I'm no ordinary human....im half human...half...something else.

Why? Why must my mother hate me yet love ny brother? I love my brother, most siblings in this situation may feel jealous, but for some reason...I don't. My brother is so precious, but deserves a different mother...one that could love us both equally...but who could raise my brother?...who could take care of use?

7 years later, a month after the events of The Rescuers Down Under film:

Cody was still having nightmares of when he was kidnapped by a poacher named Percival C McLeach, but the rangers could never find any remains of the poacher when Cody said he fell over Gator Falls just before Cody was rescued by his eagle friend Marahute and the mice: Bernard, Miss Bianca, and Jake.

The rangers said there was no body around the bottom of the falls either wild animals came and ate the remains of McLeach's body...or maybe he...

Cody didn't talk too much to his mother, but he told this all to his older sister Lea. The two siblings were very close.

One day, when Cody left to see Marahute, he left a gift for Lea by her bedside one morning. Lea woke up and found the gift was a golden eagle. She realized this feather belonged to Marahute.

Lea got up and slipped on a long sleeve shirt under her tee shirt. The white stubs under her shirt were throbbing in pain making it harder for her to ignore the pain, some more feathers were trying to peek out like before, but the ones before, her mother plucked them out like chicken feathers. She slipped on blue jeans and her white and black high top sneakers.

She listened hearing her mother leaving the door and got in the car. She's leaving? She must be leaving to go to the store. And Lea realized the door was unlocked. She was free to leave the bedroom. She came down and after the car disappeared, she reached for the door. Then she turned the knob and opened the door. It was unlocked too. She was scared to step out. Her mother never allowed her out in the world beyond the house. She never stepped out of the house ever, but here she was. Should she be doing this?

Lea took a small step on the porch. It creaks slightly making her jump slightly. She then slowly put her foot back down. She then slowly took another step. She then slowly stepped off the porch. Her eyes squint and she raised her hand blocking the bright sun beating down at her. She never seen the sun...not well outside and directly at it.

Lea then looked beyond the house seeing a forest beyond the two large rock mountains. She then walked a little faster towards the forest, then started to run. She felt she could run faster and did so. Soon she realized she was going so fast, faster than a normal person. She had super speed also then just healing and telekinesis?

Woe!

Lea giggled and dashed across the field of the green field of the Outback. She could feel a cool breeze hitting her face as she kept running through the fields in super sonic speed. She then reached the forest and jumped over a log. Her eyes widened when she saw how high she jumped which was like 30 feet in the air.

WOE!!! Super jumps?

She laughed happily once she landed back on the ground.

"WOOOO!" She cheered and then run through the forest in super sonic speed again.

She was too happy to finally feel free and alive for the first time in a long time, but then suddenly she tripped over a log she didn't see and fell right into a blinded trap. She screamed once she fell in the pit. She heard a loud annoying buzzing noise and looked up. A red light was flashing.

What is that? Some sort of...tracking device?

"HAHAH! Got one!"

It's been a long time since the last time I caught an animal.

The man started up his bushwhacker vehicle and drove straight to his trap that his radar was beeping at in the forest.

They finally arrived the spot, and his lizard leaped out to scare the frightened animal.

"RAWR!!!"

"AHHHH!" A scream came from the pit.

"Well, Joanna, what we got today? A dingo? A fat ol' razorback? Or a nice big...girl."

The girl looked up at the man nervously. She didn't expect to meet anyone especially another human.

The man turned to the lizard frowning. He didn't want the girl to think he was a poacher out her so he kicked the lizard. She let out a loud cry and rubbed her belly where he kicked her.

"JOANNA, have you been digging holes out her again!? Dumb lizard always trying to bury squirrels out here," he muttered the last part.

"...I-I don't think that's the case...it looks like a trap to me...," the girl said.

"Trap?" The man asked chuckling, "what gave you an idea like that, sweetheart? I think you been in the hole too long."

He then lowered his shot gun down towards her. Lea thought he was going to shoot him. She immediately shut her eyes and brace for the bullet, but nothing happened.

"We'll come on. Grab a hold, Princess."

Lea opened her eyes. She was surprised. Was this man...helping her? She was hesitant, but then took a hold of the gun and he lifted her out.

"We'll get out of this lizard and you can just go on home, sweetheart," the man said.

But then he noticed something pinned in her hair. A golden feather.

"Say where did you get this pretty feather, princess?"

"It...it was a gift." Lea replied.

"Oh that's real nice. Who gave it to ya?"

"...," something didn't sit right with Lea. Something about this man seemed familiar and the way he was fascinated with the feather Cody gave her, made her think maybe ...he could've been the one that...kidnapped Cody. But how? That man died falling over the falls.

"It's...it's a secret...besides...I-I don't know where they got it from." Well that kinda true. Lea knew the feather was originally Marahute's, but she never met Marahute. She didn't know where Cody would meet her at either.

"Oh really? You don't know where they got it from?"

"Honest." Lea nodded.

The man then looked into her innocent blue eyes. She seemed to be telling the truth so he smiled and let her go.

"Alright, princess, you run along home now."

Lea was afraid to. What if her mother was back? She would be punished. Or worse. If her brother got home before she did and mom was there, she could shift the beating to Cody. But her mother wouldn't...would she?

Lea backed up from the man, then turned around and ran off from him and the lizard. The man then turned to Joanna his lizard.

"There's something about that girl, Joanna. I can't put my finger on it," he said.

Joanna cocked her head and then back where the girl once stood.

"I don't how to explain it. Something about her...like I want to see her again."

Joanna then remembered the girl had that feather. She turned to the man and hand gestured him about the feather.

"The feather? Yeah, usually I torment people into giving me information about rare animals like that eagle, but I could see she was honest that she didn't know where her friend or whoever gave it to her."

Joanna turned her gaze back where the girl ran off to.

"Well, Joanna, let's go. We have work to do, you egg sucking salamander," the man chuckled.

Joanna then trotted behind him. She glanced back where the girl ran off as if she was thinking about the girl. She seemed like a nice girl since she got a whiff of her scent. So nice...kind...loving...all things sweet. She then turned to her owner.

Boss has been alone for years with just me...he never had a human friend in years. And that girl seems nice enough to be his friend. Joanna thought.

Lea's scene

Lea kept running through the forest. She looked back to see if anyone was following her. She even listened for her mother in the direction she was heading. So far nothing.

That was him! That was the poacher!

Lea kept running. She was definitely afraid of her mother would be there before her or Cody. She wasn't liking where she was going and tripped over a rock and fell. She looked down seeing her knee was skinned up.

Great. Just great. What should I do, stay and heal or go home and the chances mom is home and kills me once she sees it?

Lea was scared. She listened for any yelling, or anything towards home, but she heard nothing. She thought maybe she could go home now and heal once she got home. She then got up and kept running. She then managed to get home. Her mother nowhere around and the car was still gone.

Good. Mom isn't home yet.

Lea got inside and went upstairs to her room and sat down on her bed. She placed her hands on her knee and started to use her healing powers to heal herself.

Suddenly Lea jumped hearing the door shut.

Shit! Shit! Shit! Mom is back!

She heard the footsteps and the door opened, but to her surprise, it was Cody.

"Hey sis. How are you doing? I see you saw the feather of Marahute I gave ya," Cody said smiling.

"...fine."

Cody looked at her concerned. She seemed to be hiding something.

"You ok? You seem to be hiding something."

Lea swallowed looking nervous. She was caught. She knew it.

"You also look like you've seen a ghost...," Cody said.

"....I think I saw him." Lea said.

"...who?"

"...Percival McLeach."

Cody's eyes widened.

"How? You sure?? Please tell me you're kidding." Cody begged.

"I think I'm very sure...," Lea said.

"....did he hurt you?" Cody asked concerned. "Was he here?"

"No...and don't tell mom this...but I snuck out. And I fell into a trap. That's when I saw him and this lizard named Joanna."

Cody was stunned for a moment. This was the same way he ran into McLeach also.

"Y-You sue you saw Percival C McLeach???" Cody shivered as he asked his sister.

"He has a hook nose, a black hat with a golden feather right? And brown eyes?" Lea asked.

Cody shivered. His lips quivered. He was afraid. He then nodded to confirm her questions.

"No no no. This can't be happening. He's alive!? But that's impossible! I saw him fall over the falls before Bernard and I did. I can't believe this is happening...it can't be...," Cody shook his head shaking. "And you sure he did not hurt you?"

"He didn't. He even let me go." Lea replied.

"...let you go? Even if he noticed the feather I gave you?"

Lea nodded.

Cody looked confused. McLeach wouldn't just let someone go if there was animal he was hunting for. He had to be plotting something.

Lea then finally spoke up, "please...don't tell mom I went out..."

"....I won't. I promise," Cody said.
