Track 18: Mine - Bazzi.

Helena was nervously fumbling around with the zipper of her clutch. She was sitting in the back of her car next to Benito on her way to the Grammys. Not only was she nominated for her album but she was also supposed to perform her song and on top of that, her and Benito's managements had decided that the red carpet there should be where they would announce their relationship. Benito had his hand on her knee, softly stroking it to calm Helena's nerve. Since the year before she had not attended any major events anymore. She had been occupied with healing, getting used to being a mother and finishing the tour.

"¿Estás bien?" Benito asked, when he noticed that Helena was trying to calm herself with some breathing exercises. She quickly nodded and closed her eyes.

"Don't lie to me, chiquita." Benito said, putting his arm around her shoulder. Just about a week earlier they had moved in together, so they could take care of Angél together. Helena sighed and leaned more into him.

"I'm scared." she admitted. Benito softly kissed the top of her head and squeezed her tightly.

"Lo sé." he mumbled, then he pushed her away from his shoulder softly to make her look at him. "The song is amazing and you'll be fine." he told her, gently brushing her hair out of her face. Helena was scared because of her performance. She had never sung Let Me Hurt anywhere outside of the comforting walls of her home and it scared her to sing it in front of an audience because it had so much meaning to her. The closer they got to the venue, the worse Helena's anxiety got.

"We don't have to do this." Benito said, trying to calm her down. Helena nodded, she really did not want even more attention than she would get anyways. She appreciated that Benito was concerned about her but at the same time she wanted it to be over.

"No, we should get it over with." she then said and let out a shaky breath. Benito sighed and closed his eyes. He knew exactly how Helena looked like when she would get an anxiety attack and she was at the verge of having one.

"Can you stop the car, please?" he asked the driver.

"What are you doing?" Helena asked him, turning her head towards him.

"You're having an attack." Benito said as the car stopped on the side of the road.

"I'm fine, Benito." she gave back, her voice shaking. Benito shook his head and grabbed her hand. Around 20 minutes later, Helena was a lot more relaxed. Benito had helped her through the anxiety attack that she no longer had been able to suppress. He knew how to handle her attacks; he had learned it within the four months they had been co-parenting. Oftentimes Helena had gotten attacks when she had been overtaxed with situations; taking care of a baby was no exception.

Helena hesitatingly walked towards the entrance of the red carpet. Benito and her had made the decision to not give any interviews. At first, he was just following her, letting her take pictures alone but then he held out his hand to her and she took it. The flashlights were going crazy in that moment and Helena felt as if she was going to go blind. Although it had not been planned that they would share a sweet moment on the red carpet, Benito couldn't resist to wrap his arms around her and place a soft kiss on her cheek. Helena smiled at the ground as she felt her cheeks turn red. His presence calmed her down in a way she couldn't explain. Both of them felt like a weight had been lifted off of their chests, when they entered the arena hand in hand. On their way to their seats, they stopped at the bar to grab something to drink.

"Are you feeling better now?" he asked her, handing her the glass of water she had ordered.

"Yes, thank you." she responded and giving him a small smile. Benito had missed this Helena. Her mental healing process had taken longer than either of them had expected. It had taken her a long time to be herself again and he had patiently waited for it.

"I'm glad, chiquita." he told her, then took a sip from his cocktail. Helena felt incredibly grateful for him in that moment. It kept on surprising her that he had stuck around for so long. Benito leaned over to her to give her a peck on the lips. They didn't care that there were cameras all around them.

"We haven't had a night to ourselves in months." he then whispered into her ear, causing her to smirk and nod in response.

"We should take advantage of it, I doubt another night like this will come around any time soon." Helena gave back in amusement. Benito bit his lip to suppress the smile that was forming in his face.

"And we have all day tomorrow as well." he added, grabbing her hand as they started walking towards their seats.

"You're right! It feels so weird though." she replied, letting him walk through two chairs before her. He was leading her through the seemingly endless rows of chairs and round dinner tables.

"It's the first time he's not with us since we brought him home." Benito said as they reached their assigned seats. Helena nodded and waited for him to pull the chair out for her. She sat down, putting her purse on the table. Benito did not sit down immediately, instead he placed his free hand on her shoulder and leaned down to her. His nose was brushing her ear, causing goosebumps all over her body. Ever since the accident, they hadn't gotten intimate with one another. Although they had wanted to, they had never found a good moment.

"And once we get home, I will definitely take advantage of that. Tu vestido me está volviendo loco." he whispered, then placed a small kiss into the crook of her neck and let go of her. Helena bit her lip and playfully rolled her eyes at Benito.

"Me hace ilusión." she responded quietly. Benito smirked as he sat down, then he winked at her and placed his left hand on her knee. The cameras had caught their kiss at the bar earlier and without knowing it, Benito had somewhat claimed her with it. He had shown the world that she was his and he felt proud that he had done so.
