Dick P.O.V.

I sat down in front of my whole school with Wally and Roy behind me watching as I looked up hands poised over piano keys. Bruce thought that it would do some good for me to be in my school's charity concert. Wally held his bass and Roy over with drum sticks in his hands. Roy nodded to me and I plucked out keys scooting closer to the microphone that was close to my mouth.

I stood playing the chords plucking them out loudly.

I looked out and saw Connor in the audience. He looked up sad at me. I blushed and whipped my hair in front of my face facing the keys once more.

I stood up and walked to the front with Wally and Roy who were smiling like crazy. We took a bow and walked out into the hallway. 

"That. Was. AWESOME!" Wally yelled picking me up and spinning me around.

"Way to go, little man, I thought that you were going to run off the stage when you saw him in the crowd," Roy said giving me a high five. Connor stood at the end of the hallway and smiled at me. "Go get him, my brave soldier!" Roy said patting me on the back. 

I walked up to Connor and smiled at him as he looked down at me.

"I was waiting for you, you have an amazing voice," Connor said to me in his monotone voice.

"Thanks," I said running a hand through my hair before he grabbed my wrist making me look up at him. He pulled me forward making me yelp a little before following him out to a car.

"Sit," he said pushing me into the passenger seat.

"Connor? What's going on?" I asked as he sat in the driver's seat buckling up and nodding to me to do the same.

"I'm taking you somewhere where no one will find us," Connor said eyes focused as he pulled out of the parking lot.

"Connor, you're scaring me," I said reaching for the seatbelt button.

He pulled over on the side of the road next to a field with a hill. He pulled me up the hill and on the other side there were blue and purple flowers as far as the eye could see.

"I come here to think and lately all I can think about is you and how your eyes are as blue as the flowers here. I thought that if I could get you here then I could finally ask you out, I'm sorry for scaring you Dick," Connor said holding one of my hands and looking away from me.

"I'm happy that you did this for me. You could have just told me though," I said laughing making him look over at me.

He smiled and wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me closer to his massive body. He placed a finger under my chin and lifted up my face to meet his, I stood on my toes and leaned up to kiss him.

We spent hours in that field.
