Prologue
Adjusting to a new school as a teenager was not only one of the worse situations that could happen. New rooms, new classmates, new teachers, it's a lot to adapt to. Fortunately, (Y/n) found her first day of high school to go rather smoothly, she was able to find her new class easily and even had her homeroom with her only two friends. Unfortunately, one thing she couldn't grasp was the layout of the school, despite its pretty average layout. Her poor sense of direction was a handicap, but she was able to survive the first month due to the fact Rin and Kyoko were there to guide her in the right direction, overall her high school already looked like it was going to be pretty mundane. Yet, things could never go out the way you want it to, and one one mistake could screw over your life.
Like today.
What started off as just being late to her first major exam in Japanese history, a class she didn't exactly favor, now progressed to her being caught in an unfavorable situation. The situation? Being lost in the overly huge high school. Stairs seemed to never stop leading in different dimensions of the school and it didn't look as if the building had a pattern to it. What makes it worse, is that it was lunch and with already missing breakfast due to her tardiness, she was starving. She had forgotten her lunch at home, where her stupid brother currently is napping peacefully after his night out with his friends, and as a result, she reluctantly left her friends in search of the cafeteria or even a vending machine, which ever she comes across first.
Unfortunately, this took a lot longer than she initially planned. Not only did she waste a good portion of her time looking for food, but now she is also wasting time trying to get back up to her friends on the roof. Man, she really felt like a certain character from an anime who doesn't know any form of direction.
(Y/n) sighed as she hopped off the last step of the stairs before looking around. Immediately, her (e/c) eyes found a familiar hall on the right side, one that should lead her to the actual stairs that will lead towards the roof where her friends were at, so she quickly paced down the hall in relief. Finally, (Y/n) was just about to turn the corner when she noticed a group of males hanging out on the stairs surprising her as they weren't there earlier. This certain hallway in the school was sparklingly clean and looked as if it was rarely ever used, perhaps used for forgotten clubs, so she didn't think there would be students down here and she was sure the stairs she used to get to the roof was just a forgotten stairway. (Y/n) froze in her spot before she hid behind the wall of the corner, dry heaving as her heart pounded in her chest. She wouldn't have minded asking the students to pass by nicely, but she nearly missed a certain blonde haired male that she recognized as the student council president and a 3rd year of their school. He was favorited around campus and always surrounded by girls, not only did she hate crowds but she even more so detested fangirls. Essentially, on her first day of school, she already register the blonde hair male as someone she would never want to encounter. Which lasted a month and ends today. (Y/n) knew she could just pass by them easily, and hope that'd be the only encounter with the group of boys for the year, but her gut told her something else was amiss, so she hid around the corner, waiting for the group of boys to finish their conversation.
"It's really sad that all those hot seniors graduated." One of the males seemed to sigh loudly, making the girl roll her eyes, "Oh!" the male yelped making (Y/n) jump where she stood, "Whatever happened to the big breasted bimbo that wouldn't stop crying the day before she left 'cause she wouldn't see you anymore Ryuu?"
"That's oddly perspective of you, Ryo.." a new voice muttered.
"What?", The teen now named Ryo asked seemingly offended, "I can be per...perspective."
"You only remember her because of her big breasts." Another teen cackled.
"Oh shut up! Ryuu! You never answered my question."
Great, not only does she miss eating her lunch but now (Y/n) looks like a creep eavesdropping on a bunch of teen's conversation about big breasted women. Oh how far she has fallen. Maybe she should just get the balls to ask them to move, but it'd make it obvious she already heard their conversation and that in itself is already awkward to explain. They'd probably think she's a lonely hormonal teen girl spying on boys! God, is she overthinking this?
When she heard Ryuu's name called out, this confirmed who she saw was indeed the popular male. She looked from the corner and looked at the tall blonde haired male with a fair face who was once smiling softly to both teachers and student alike is now holding a cocky smile, a smile that wasn't necessarily sinister but was damn near sadistic. Almost as if he was finding the conversation amusing. Although (Y/n) should be shocked at the sudden change of the third years change of face, she initially already guessed his true personality the first day she saw him, a pretentious prick who fakes his actions to get what he wants. But what she didn't expect would he be openly talking to his friends about these things openly.
There was a deafening silence for a good minute for the male she assumed is 'Ryuu' answered, "Jeez man, can't let a guy eat?" Another second went by before (Y/n) heard shuffling, "Big breast third year... Oh yeah... Shi... Shi something I don't know, but can you believe she's not a virgin?"
"Oh shit!" Ryo's voice laughed, "So you actually hit that!" more laughing ensued. "So what happened?"
Yeah, (Y/n) isn't surprised that this is where the direction of the conversation was heading too, what she is surprised about is her staying there.
She heard another shuffle from what she can assume is Ryuu shrugging, "All I did was just tell her the truth, I guess. How much of an easy lay she was and that she should really get her shit in order. Seriously, who believes in that love in first sight crap. She surely did and fully believed it. What an idiot. It's a good thing she graduated, because I wouldn't have been able to keep appearances with her squirming around."
(Y/n) smirked at herself, oh she is so great at reading people. Ryuu was a whole manwhore like she thought. Well at any rate, she knew that she needed to leave now and she decided to take another way to get towards the roof.
Unfortunately, it seems her friend Rin had other plans because right as she stood up straight her phone began to ring loudly in her pocket. (Y/n), in a state of panic, almost threw her phone out of her hand and in the line of view of the teenagers on the stairs. The phone bounced out of her hand a couple of times before she was able to finally catch it, but by this time she was definitely caught. She clumsily fixed herself and held her phone behind her back as she looked towards the teens, five males all seeming to be third years just like she thought and the one she was just bad mouthing in her mind is right there on the stairs with shock on his face.
"Uh.." (Y/n) started awkwardly, "I... I need to go up those stairs..If you don't mind moving.."
It was quiet for a minute after her statement and she kept looking down at her feet rather than the people in front of her. Luckily, or unluckily, Ryuu was able to break the silence. He stood up from his seat on the stairs and pushed his friend next to him out of the way before gesturing towards the stairs with a plastered smile on his face, "Sorry about that! Please go ahead. If you're going to the roof on the south side then these are the stairs you take to get there."
(Y/n) shivered at Ryuu's excessive kindness, but quickly blew it off as she found her way out of this hell. She nodded a final goodbye before muttering out a small "Thanks.."
The five teens watched her walk up the stairs and past the doors before an orange haired male turned to look at his friend, "Yeah she definitely heard you talking."
"You think?" Ryuu laughed as he placed his bottom back on the step, "Doesn't matter, it's not like I can't just seduce her or make her think otherwise."
"I don't know Ryuu," The same teen stated as he looked down at his juice box, "I don't think this is something you can fix with your so-called 'seduction' skills." He pricks his juice box with the straw before he continues, "Don't matter, at least it's someone in this school who'll hate you."
Ryuu tweaked his nose and frowned a little at his friend's remark before he crossed his leg over the other, "I don't know Abe. I think I can sweep her off her feet."
The orange hair male named Abe rose his eyebrows before he shrugged and decided to make new challenge, "Fine." Abe sipped on his drink, "Let's make a bet. I bet that you won't be able to get that girl to fall in love with you and if I win then you will have to do whatever I desire for the rest of the year, but if you win then same deal. I'll serve for you."
This was a ridiculous bet, but Ryuu always loved making bets with Abe and the winning price was too good to pass, 'Well' he thought 'this bet is rather easy. I can get anyone to play into my hands.'
Ryuu held his hand out towards his friend who smiled knowingly and did the same, "Deal it is then Ryuu"
"This will be easy Abe. The bet might as well be over."
Abe rolled his eyes before he smiled once again. He could tell this was going to be an interesting show, "Hey, we may never know."

The final bell bellowed throughout the school as the students were told to do their farewell greetings towards their teacher. (Y/n) walked out of the classroom in a rush towards her shoe locker before trading out her slippers for her outdoor brown loafers. Sliding in her left shoe, she kicked the tip of her shoe on the floor ensuring its security before walking out the entrance doors to wait for her two friends, however she was held back from a soft yet masculine looking hand being placed onto her left shoulder.
(Y/n), confused as Kyoko or Rin don't have masculine hands, frowned and looked behind her,
"Hey, what the hells going on-"
The girl didn't finish her question when her (e/c) eyes met a familiar hazel pair with the sweet honey-like hair that was paired with a smile.
"Hey. I'm guessing you made it back to the roof alright?"
(Y/n)'s eyes shifted up at who she identified as Ryuu as he gave a closed eyed smile but his face was still looking down at her. The girl sweat dropped then awkwardly nodding and turning away from the male before making her way outside, opting not to say anything.
For a minute Ryuu stood there stunned at her immediate retreat before he moved forward, "H-Hey! Wait", he attempted to place his hand on the (h/c)'s shoulder again, but the girl quickly slapped his hand away.
"Leave me the fuck alone." (Y/n) spoke harshly as she was getting fed up with Ryuu already. She has to deal with a playboy of a brother at home and she doesn't want to deal with one at school as well, besides she tried being nice to the male and wanted to end the conversation. Unfortunately for (Y/n) though, there was some unwanted attention on her now that people focused their attention onto her and Ryuu.
Ryuu swallowed before speaking in the most innocent voice and act he could muster, "I'm sorry, but did I do something to offend you?"
"Are you seriously asking...?"(Y/n) couldn't help but to roll her (e/c) eyes at the males acting and decided to just leave Ryuu by himself as she did not want to deal with it. She walked forwards towards the school gates hoping he won't follow her and that her friends will just meet her there. Despite her actions to get away from him, Ryuu wasn't going to have someone who he considered a serf treat him like he was the pest. He once again suppressed his annoyance and continued on with his façade as he was able to quickly catch up with the fleeting girl before he reached for her hand.
Feeling a hand, his dirty hand, made (Y/n)'s heart boil in anger and before she knew it she had slapped Ryuu's hand away from her; much harsher than last time since the sound echoed in the courtyard.
"Can't you just fuck off already?!" (Y/n) scoffed before shrugging her bag on her shoulder, "You're being fucking annoying."
Of course like most teens, (Y/n) did not process what her actions were nor the consequences, but she definitely didn't regret it as she got a glimpse of Ryuu's contorted face when someone talked hostile to him. She wouldn't have cared about what the male did, but since he was constantly bothering her she was done being nice, especially to someone who thinks women as toys. (Y/n) knew Ryuu wanted something from her considering he kept trying to gain her attention and quite frankly she did not want to find out what his intentions with her were.
(Y/n), slightly taken aback by her own outburst, looked at Ryuu's facial expression of pure astonishment as his hazel eyes were wide and his mouth agape. She could tell that either not many people or anyone ever talked to him in such a way, and (Y/n) felt a pinch of pride in herself for being the first. A few seconds passed of silence so she took the opportunity to once again turn her back towards the mesmerized male and continued her walk home, forgetting about her friends. With her back turned, she smiled proudly to herself as she never knew she could dislike someone so quickly.
It's been 10 minutes into her walk and she still felt the presence of Ryuu whom she decided to ignore. Is he really just going to follow her until she talks to him?
Stopping in her steps, she sighed before she turned around abruptly causing her hair to flip around. She didn't even bother to suppress a glare with her (e/c) eyes towards the blonde behind her. Noticing he'd finally been acknowledged, Ryuu once again threw on his nice act and walked up to her with a smile.
"I'm sorry that I hurt you. It was wrong of me, but I do need to talk to-"
"Just quit the acting 'senpai'" (Y/n) mocked, "Just tell me what you want to talk about."
Ryuu was, once again, taken aback and after a minute of no response the girl decided to leave him alone....Again. But of course, her plans changed when she heard a low creepy chuckle that soon erupted into a loud laugh causing her to turn around slowly. With raised confused eyebrows she looked at Ryuu again, he stood straight this time and his face was covered with his hair.
"What the fuck..." (Y/n) muttered out mostly to herself as she was the one astonished this time.
"You know, I like you." He began as he brushed his bangs back from his face and looked down at the teen in front of him, his eyes glowing in amusement. "You're probably the first girl I won't have to act nice with." He started to move and close his distance from (Y/n) who was processing the quick change of demeanor, so when she found herself caged by the male and her back against the wall she mentally slapped herself. 'How cliche' she thought with a fresh new glare fixated on the predator in front of her.
Ryuu's caramel eyes gleamed down as he lowered his head and continued, "I'm going to assume you did eavesdrop.."
To be honest, (Y/n) didn't think it'd get this far and she wasn't ever expecting to actually see him act like himself before so when he broke his nice boy character it really took her by surprise. In a different circumstance she would truly praise the male for his great acting skills, but today was filled with too many surprises and all she wanted to do was go to her lovely abode and relax.
"So lets' make a deal." He began as he lowered his face closer to the girl who reflexively went to smack him. Unfortunately he caught her hand just in time and just continued his statement, "I made a bet with my friend. He bet that I won't be able to have you fall in love with me and I do wish to win that bet so I can get the prize."
She started struggling in her spot in his grip, so Ryuu just let her go and backed away from her but maintained his intense eye contact with her, "So I want to make a deal with you, or well maybe a game. If I win in making you fall in love with me at the end of this month then I get to enjoy my prize of ruining your life, but if you win then I will leave you alone for the rest of your life. Is that fair?"
(Y/n) scoffed at the stupid suggestion. This was troublesome, but she knew that if she declined it now then he would bug her for the rest of her year, maybe not more. She contemplated, it wouldn't hurt to deal with him from a month after all it could've been worse with the latter. After all she knew that her taste in men isn't that low, and although Ryuu is admittedly attractive, she doesn't let attraction decide her feelings. With his snarky attitude, this bet will be easier than making Kyoko cry. Regrettably, she made her decision while she thought of how her life would've been much more smoothly if she hadn't gotten lost. "Do you really think someone would fall for you after you blatantly said you were only going to do it for a bet...?" (Y/n) sighed and just agreed to the game, "Fine, whatever. Easy enough now will you leave me alone?"
Ryuu smirked and nodded as he leaned back against a wall while he still glared down at the female, "Now don't think it'll be that easy, puppet."
(Y/n) was already regretting everything once her new nickname hit her ears. She groaned as her hand pulled on her face in disdain, "Don't ever call me that." And with that the girl pushed herself off the wall, ignoring Ryuu's stare, and started back onto the sidewalk.
Watching her leave and slowly disappear, Ryuu slowly felt his lips pull into a smirk at the building excitement in his chest, "I have the feeling this is going to be exciting and I never felt this encouraged to win any game ."
