q/a: answers:
Adelaide
1-What was your favorite fact that Nate told you?
Adelaide: I think it's the kangaroo one. I read more about it too! Apparently two vaginas are for the sperm cells to pass and one is for the fetus to slip into the pouch.
2- how did you handle being in the spotlight like on the news and stuff after nates death?
Adelaide: Well . . . I didn't handle it well (I literally don't handle anything well so that's not a surprise). I hated it. I hated how much people asked and reporters wanted to get details out of me. So I flipped them off and locked myself at home and I refused to answer questions anymore.
3- If Nate had lived, would you guys have maybe gone on a date later...?👀
Adelaide: no, I don't see him like that. He's like a brother to me.
4- Do you prefer jeans or some other kind of pants?
Adelaide: sweatpants are the best.
5- What shampoo do you use?
Adelaide: Uh . . . Why do you care?
6- How are you doing during quarantine?
Adelaide: All I've been doing is gardening and thinking.
7- If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Adelaide: Hanging Gardens of Babylon! I wish I could go back in time and see them for myself.
8- Did you or do you have any friends before the whole kidnapping situation? How did they react? And how did they react when you finally came home/ told them about nate?
Adelaide: I did and I still have friends! Uh, a typical reaction, I guess. Worrying and waiting. When I finally came back they were obviously relieved but at the same they were sorta shocked and in disbelief. Not much of a reaction when I tried telling them about Nate. They only reacted when they saw pictures of him, they found him cute.
9- Hey, sweetie...how are you doing? Are you doing alright after everything that happened?
Adelaide: Hi! I'm alright, thanks for asking. It's so hard to get over what happened or to stop blaming myself for everything, but I'm getting there.
____
Christopher
1- When did you get the dog?
Christopher: Around 5 years ago. Nate was 14.
2- What did you get Nate for his 18th birthday?
Christopher: I wasn't there unfortunately, I was already in France. But I was planning to rent a yacht for him when I come back to make it up.
3- Chris said the play was biased so how did the story actually go?
Christopher: I hate talking about this because it feels like I'm blaming Genevieve and that's the last thing I wanna do. The problem is that the script made it look like I was the one enticing her. In reality she started it. When we met, I genuinely just wanted to help her. I didn't try to win her over or anything. Even when we kissed, she did it. She seemed desperate and sad, and I gave in at some point (long story but I had some issues with my wife at that point). I fucked up too, I'm not denying. But the script made it look like I was the one pushing her into the relationship when it was actually the opposite. And it made it look like I was content with lying and was planning to keep going until Genevieve told me about the child. That's not how it happened. I was the one planning to end it because I realized that's fucked up. I realized both Genevieve and I were searching for other people in each other. And I didn't suddenly abandon her, I talked to her and explained how the relation needs to stop.
4- What made you decide to end the affair? (Idk if that's already been answered).
Christopher: The moment she kissed me. I knew I couldn't do this. We kept going on for a few days because I didn't know how to tell her. When I decided I couldn't lie to her anymore, I went to her and that was when she told me that she had a daughter.
5- What is your favorite memory of Nate?
Christopher: When he just casually walked into the meeting room in the middle of my conference. Apparently he told the security that he's my son and that I'd be very pissed if he kicked him out. Thankfully my colleagues and coworkers loved Nate or else he would've gotten us both in trouble.
6- I know that this might be painful, but how do you feel after learning about what happened to Genevieve? And how did you untie yourself and escape?
Christopher: I feel terrible of course. That jackass actually loosened the ropes for the last act because he wanted me to break free and hang onto the chords to break Nate's heart even more. So with some effort and wriggling I managed to untie myself.
____
Grace
1- How did the family react to hearing the news about the kidnapping and nates death?
Grace: First there was denial. We couldn't believe it. Then shock. Nate was alive then suddenly he's dead, no one could comprehend that. Then grief, so much of it.
2- What is it like for you to go through this.
Grace: On the headstone we wrote "The world ended for us with your death." That's exactly how it feels.
3- What was your relationship with Nate like before he died?
Grace: We were so close! Yeah, we used to piss each other off a lot but that's what siblings do. He always came to me when he was sad.
4- What do you do in your free time?
Grace: I spend a lot of time in Nate's room when I have nothing to do. It's comforting and it breaks my heart at the same time.
5- Okay, umm...what happened to Nate's ex-girlfriend? Did she ever find out about his death? If so, how did she react?
Grace: Oh yeah she found out and was shocked and she even came to the funeral! She was crying and sobbing like "oh my God oh my God" and I was like "bitch, now you care?" When I saw her I remembered how she treated Nate when they were together and I was ready to kick her ass. But that's a little extra so I didn't (maybe I should've).
____
Nate's mom
1- How did you find out/feel about the affair? What happened after?
Nate's mom: Christopher told me. He told me everything. It was hard at first and we almost divorced. But then he told me the entire thing, why and how it happened, and we decided to move on, for Grace. But moving on took a lot, it didn't happen in two days.
2- Do you hate/blame Christopher for what happened?
Nate's mom: Back when it happened, we worked it out and moved on. Now I blame him just as much as I blame Genevieve, which is why we divorced. My son wouldn't have died if this entire thing didn't happen.
3- What is your favorite thing about Nate
Nate's mom: How he smiles when he's nervous.
4- How has all of this affected your relationship with Grace?
Nate's mom: Nothing changed between us but at the same time, nothing's the same anymore. She's been a little distant. All of us.
5- How did you hear about Nate's death?
Nate's mom: Over the phone. Christopher and him were still in France.
6- How did you and Christopher meet/get married?
Nate's mom: We were friends in high school and we've always liked each other but we didn't confess. Then we met again in college and that's when it happened.
7- How are you? And how do you feel about Adelaide?
Nate's mom: nothing's harder for a mom than losing her child. Even worse to think of how much he suffered before dying. Adelaide has nothing to do with this. She's a victim just like Nate. I wish her the best.
____
The Director
1- Does he speak french? Like an accent like Adelaide? Idk, just seems funny too read his dialogue like that
The Director: I speak French but I don't have a strong accent. Less than Adelaide's.
2- How's the jail? Was it worth it?
The Director: Great, knowing that Nathan's dead and Christopher's suffering. Very worth it.
3- How many jailmates have beat you up for killing a kid so far?
The Director: Doesn't matter. It won't be more than the times I beat Nathan up in front of Christopher. That's the real win.
4- I imagine that he has had some intensive therapy in jail. Do you now realise Nathanial was innocent? If so, how guilty do you feel?
The Director: I always knew he was innocent. But he's Christopher's son. I don't feel guilty. I'll never feel guilty.
5- Tell me, Mr. Director, did you ever think that maybe torturing and killing Nate was going to hurt Adelaide just as much as her mother's death did? And what happened in the trial? Also, what's your name and how long will you stay in prison? Also, how would YOU feel if you were being killed for YOUR parent's mistake?!
The Director: No. Obviously that brat won't mean to Adelaide more than her mom meant to her. Nothing happened in trial. I didn't try to deny. I pled guilty. Life sentence in jail. My name's a secret. I wouldn't have the right to feel anything because my parent caused someone else to grow up an orphan. I'd suck it up and accept the pain, that's what I'd do.
____
Nate
1- THIS IS SO HEARTBREAKING FHSJVDHD 😭😭
2- ILY U BEAUTIFUL SMOL BABY🥺🥺
3- Crap my tears are returning
4- NATE HOWS HEAVEN
5- rest in peace😭
6- wowwww
____
Author
1- Did you ever consider writing an ending where Nate would have lived, or another chapter which follows the aftermath of everything that happened?
Nope! The moment this idea hit me, I knew Nate had to die. Never imagined it with another ending. The aftermath was the epilogue! For the bonus chapter, I could've shown more of after Nate's death, but everyone so far wants to see a glimpse of his normal life/when he was alive so that's what I'm gonna write
2- Not related to the story, but got any upcoming books? I love all your books
Ah thank you!! Currently I have a book called Valentino on my side-account Anyone287 which is a teenfic short story. (Edit: I also have a new psychological thriller on this account! It's called Aurelio's Dilemma )
For this account, i have a lottt of ideas. The next book I'm gonna post is probably gonna be a sci-fi about AI/bots (plot is too complex to be summarized lol). I also have a dark fantasy book about wizards in mind for the future. And a teenfic psychological thriller too lol i have so many book ideas i wanna write.
3- Not to rush or bug u but do you think you'll be writing another great book like this soon? I really loved this
omg don't worry this doesn't bug me! It actually makes me really happy. Same answer as above ^^ thank you!
4- How could you be so cruel as to kill Nathanial? And give no justice to his mother, the Director or Adelaide?
Hahaha I'm sorry
5- Alternative ending? Pleaseee.
I'm sorry but I really can't! The problem with writing an alternative ending is that it's basically like Nate didn't even die even though that's the point of the book. Readers will just read the alternative and take it as the real ending.
6- Did researching claustrophobia and panic attacks make a difference in how was written? I've experienced panic attacks on multiple occasions but was never able to put how they felt into words and this story did that perfectly for me. Also, I'm sure it was in the story somewhere but what kind of dog did Nate have?
It did kinda help! It helped me understand what claustrophobic people usually don't like (Hence, Nate hating planes). I also researched stress symptoms which helped a lot (Nate's bellyache/fever were actually just the stress). Aw thanks, I'm glad!! Haha yep it was mentioned in the epilogue, he's an American Akita
7- What inspired you to write this?
Thank you for asking this! The only inspiration for this book was my own passion to become a director + I really like theatre. That's it. The idea hit me randomly while I was in the bathroom.
8- What date did he die? When's his birthday?
He died on April 13th! (it's actually day I posted ch.22 lol). His birthday's on March 25th.
9- How tall is Nate.
He's relatively tall. I never thought of a specific number for some reason
9- How do you get the ideas for your characters?
Love this question! When I create a character I usually pick the traits to contradict the situation. Example: Aaron in TB having touch aversion in a situation that was all about touching lol. Or Nate being claustrophobic and trapped in a small area. Adelaide fearing death and the entire book was about death. The ideas usually hit me while I'm in the bathroom(don't ask lol I know that's weird) or while I'm walking around the house. I can NEVER develop a character/create a plot while sitting for some reason.

a/n: thanks to everyone who participated and to everyone who read! And if you couldn't find your question here, I probably accidentally missed it. Tell me and I'll answer and add it here again❤️
