Chapter 3

Jack's P.O.V

Mark drifted off to sleep and I struggled to stay awake. I don't often get a lot of sleep, but after everything that happened, I could sleep for days.

The thought of not getting much sleep reminded me of my subscribers. Were they ok? How far did the Plague spreed? Did they know what was going on? I hope they're alright...

I heard a noise from outside and I sat up, startled. I rushed over to Mark and started shaking him.

"Mark! Mark, get up! Someone's outside, get up!"

Mark's eyes flew open and he grabbed his gun. "What?!? Where?!?"

"Shhhh! Shut up they'll hear you!"

I quickly woke the others and shakily rose my gun. Ken slowly looked out, and all hell broke loose.

Gun shots were fired, we stepped out firing back. There had to be at least twenty people firing at us.

One of our attackers aimed a molotov at Mark, and I quickly pulled him behind a rock.

"That's the second time you saved my life!" He exclaimed as it exploded.

I grinned. "Yeah, but who's counting?"

Suddenly Felix screamed, "KEN LOOK OUT!!"

Time seemed to freeze as Ken fell to the ground. The triumphant smile of his killer made my stomach lurch.

Ken was gone.

.o0O0o.

Felix didn't give Ken's killer the time to monologue. He just shot her right between her eyes. Felix and Marzia sprinted over to Ken's body. Felix grabbed his shoulders shaking them and begging him to get up. Marzia wrapped her arms around him. Mark and I walked over. I could feel tears streaming down. I glanced over at Mark. He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. I hugged him, comforting him. I ended up sobbing into his neck as he rubbed my back.

Mark gently pulled away and put a hand on Felix's shoulder. He whipped around. "Felix, we can't stay here. More bandits and Plaugers will be here soon."

"I'm not leaving him for the Plaugers!" Felix yelled.

"Then we better bury him now. I'm sorry Felix, he was my friend too." Mark replied.

Felix reluctantly let us pick up Ken's body. We buried him beside the cave. Even after walking away from his grave, Ken's face still burned my mind. I couldn't forget him. I wouldn't let myself forget him.

The sun was just starting to drop when Mark finally let us stop for the night. A smaller cave. How ironic. A smaller cave for a smaller group of friends.

The thought itself made me tear up, but I didn't let myself cry. If I did, I wouldn't be able to stop. I rubbed my eyes, and sat down next to Felix around the fire.

Marzia took the first watch, but I didn't fall asleep for a while. I just hoped my dreams wouldn't be too bad.

What ya think? Good? Bad? You'll probably say bad 'cause I killed off Ken. I'm sorry, just feeling kinda of Game of Thrones-y. I knew I wanted at least one character to die. At least one. Mwahahaha.... Will someone else die? Who knows!
But seriously, I hope you enjoyed!

I kinda want a Septiplier movie now. This fanfic as movie, how cool would that be?!?

OK back on topic! Hope you enjoyed! Have a nice day!
