The Encounter

“Uuwi ka na ba sa inyo Klerah?” tanong ni Averill sa akin. Nasa isang bar kami dito sa Makati, nagkayayaan lang dahil katatapos lang ng Internship namin. Dalawang buwan na lang ang bibilangin para maka graduate kami sa mga kanya-kanyang school.

“Oo kailangan ko maka uwi e, pupunta pa ako sa school bukas” kailangan kong pumasok para sa mga clearance na ia-accomplish though iilan na lang naman ‘yon, gugustuhin ko na rin naman na tapusin agad.

“Bakla! Ala una na kaya. May masasakyan ka pa kaya?” It was Eloah

“Tanga! May grab naman ah o di kaya angkas. Keribels naman na makauwi ako”

“Mamayang alas dos ka na umuwi. Pleaseeeeee?” this time it’s Ailey. I show my disgusted face at her at binato siya ng ice cube na naiwasan naman niya. Paano niya nakukuhang mag pa cute? Ewww lang. ang sagwa tignan!

I remember how we’ve met each other months ago. We are in a fastfood chain; we’re all heading to the same table holding the tray that has our foods and just suddenly sit to our own respective chairs. Sabay sabay lang kaming nagkatinginan at nagtawanan when we realized what just happened.  From then nagkausap usap kami and we learned that we are all having our internship in the same hotel and with the same schedules! We’ve got excited and nag decide din kami na tumuloy na lang sa iisang bahay.

Luckily, my father agreed to it. Ilang pilit pa ang ginawa ko dahil alam ko naman na mahihirapan lang ako kung araw-araw akong mag babyahe from Taguig to Makati.

“Ghorl I’ll dance ha. Ikaw ba?” Eloah asked me at hindi pa man ako nakakasagot nawala na sa harap ko si gaga! Nagtanong ka pang hinampak ka!

“Restroom lang ako ah” paalam ko sa dalawang naiwan sa table namin. Dali dali akong naglakad dahil sa kanina pa talaga ako naiihi. The place is so loud; I didn’t know that this club would be this lit. Nung nakita ko ang restroom for girls walang patumpik tumpik kong binuksan ang pintuan and to my surprise

“Shit! OMG SORRYYYY!!!” I screamed to the top of my lungs! I immediately run back to our table when it sinks in to me.

I just saw people doing a miracle in the restroom. OH SHIT! Napaurong yata ang iiihi ko dapat. Tulala naman akong napaupo at ini-straight na inom ang kung anong nasa table

My face suddenly crumpled when I realized that it is not water. Ang mga gaga kong kaibigan tinawanan lang ako. I don’t know why pero feel ko talaga ang malas ko today. Ugh! This is so frustrating

“Uy bakla anong nangyari sayo? May nanghalik ba sayo? Magaling ba naman? Share mo naman. Sharing is caring diba?” sinamaan ko ng tingin si Eloah. Walanghiyaaaa talagang yun pa ang concern ng isang to?

“Oo nga Klerah, bakit nagmamadali ka? Are you in trouble?”

“NO! Averill I am not! Why would I be in trouble?”
She just shrugged her shoulder and drink up.

What the hell was that? It took me a couple of seconds before I even realized what they are doing. For sure they clearly saw my face! Ugh! I have to get out here. Nakakahiya! Pero shit may iba pa bang cr dito? Mygosh! Parang hindi na kakayanin ng pantog ko.

“Klerah what really happened? Akala ko ba mag re-rest room ka? Ano? Hanggang ngayon naiihi ka pa rin at ganyan ang itsura mo?” Tanong ni Ailey na nasa tabi ko

“I just saw people in the restroom having sex. Imagine how awkward it was! I even stared at them for I think ten seconds bago ko ma realize kung ano ang nakita ko”

“Kaya pala ang lalaki ng butil ng pawis mo HAHAHAHA. Para namang first time mo makanood. May cr pa sa second floor sis. Doon ka na mag cr katok katok muna bago pasok” nag make face na lang ako sa kanya at umakyat na sa second floor.

I sighed in relief nang walang gumagawa ng himala this time and finally! Makakaihi na rin ako. Punyemas talaga, buti at hindi ako napaihi bigla sa nakita ko. Hindi naman talaga ako ganon ka conservative pero magugulatin lang talaga ako sa mga bagay-bagay.

I look in the mirror and see my reflection. I am not a model type of a girl. Hello naman sa five flat ko na height. I am wearing a dark blue maong pants and white crop top long sleeved off-shoulder plus white sneakers with wedge inside syempre. Makaranas man lang na tumangkad. Nag retouched lang ako ng konti at inayos ang buhok ko na kulot ang bandang baba, umaabot lang din ang haba ng buhok ko above the shoulder at lumabas na nang matapos.

I look around and just realized that this floor is the VIP section. When I look down I saw the people having fun; dancing, drinking, even making out. Flirt people are everywhere to be found. I even spotted Eloah dancing with someone. He’s hot though kaya pala hindi pa hinihila nila Ailey.

I checked the time and it is still 1:35. Should I go home now?

I was about to go down when someone talked at my side blocking my way

“Enjoyed what you saw earlier?” said by the man

I automatically look at him with a questioning look

He’s looking at the people partying downstairs while holding his glass

He’s wearing a black casual short partnered with white button down dress shirt but the first three buttons are un-buttoned and a boat shoes.

He got a clean cut hair, neat face, thick eyebrows and eyelashes, pointed nose na bagay na bagay sa mukha niya, pinkish lips. Broad shoulders mga mamsh! My eyes landed to his arms; his polo sleeves were rolled up to his elbow and hell! Those veins look good!

Why this man is so gifted with side profile? I even look like a shit in my side profile

He shifted his position to face me. He smirked first before he drinks on his glass.
Fudgee barr o barr! Look at that dimple on his right cheek and damn! His expressive eyes

“Done checking me out?”
I woke up from my reverie when I heard his deep manly voice again

“I’m not checking you out. Why would I do that? Sino ka ba? Di naman kita type no! so I’m gonna cross you out” Liar ka self! Liar!

“Oh, really? You look like you’re drooling over me” A playful smile formed to his sexy lips. Wait?! What am I saying?!

“Oh yeah. Don’t be too full of yourself Mr. Assuming. Di na safe yan, pa check-up ka minsan. Tsaka ako? Magd-drool sayo? Sayo?!” sabi ko habang turo turo siya and he just looked at me as if he was so amazed by my answer.

Sino ba naman kasi ‘to? he looks so familiar

I scanned him again and

Brain blast!

He’s the guy in the restroom a while ago!
Shooketh! pinuri puri ko pa ‘tong lalaking ‘to tapos siya pala yung nakikipag ano kanina

“Mr. assuming huh? Do you remember me now?” Proud ka pang hinampak ka

“So what kung naalala na kita? Tsaka pwede ba don’t remind that thing to me nakakadiri kasi e, kung bakit kasi sa cr kayo nag a-ano tapos di pa kayo nag lock ng pinto! As if naman gusto kong makanood ng live show!”

Naramdaman ko ang pag pula ng pisngi ko. Shocks! Bakit ba naaalala ko pa yung sa cr e saglit ko lang naman na nakita yon

“Cute. You’re blushing” and with that I can feel my face blushed more. It is dark how can he even see that?

“Ngayon ka lang nakakita ng nagb-blush? Kawawa ka naman kung ganon tsaka it’s not because of you no! a-ano m-mainit lang talaga” palihim akong napapikit ng mariin dahil sa pagkakautal ko

“Oh you’re blushing and stuttering huh. Why is that?” naramdaman ko naman ang paglapit niya sa akin. Why is this man getting closer to me? And why the hell I am letting him? Bakit ko ba kasi pa ‘to kinakausap when I can just leave nang hindi siya pinapansin

Ah! alam ko na, di ako pinalaking bastos, slight lang. masama daw kasi na hindi pinapansin yung kumakausap sa’yo e lalo na kung mas matanda tsaka mukhang walang friends

“Swiper, No Swiping!” I said before he finally get closer to me. Shet lang! Out of all the words I can say yun pa talaga? Ayos ka lang ba self?

Narinig ko naman ang lakas ng tawa niya

“Tsk tawang tawa?” I rolled my eyes and started to walk out from him at nung malapit na ako sa hagdan I felt someone grab my waist kaya naman I automatically attacked his stomach using my elbow and when I turn around to face him I kicked his balls.

I stumbled when I realized who it was. What the heck did I do? Masama talaga akong magulat. I saw Mr. Assuming holding his stomach and his almighty gem.

“What the actual fuck woman?!” my mouth parted and wanted to speak pero tumakbo na lang ako paalis. I didn’t even bother to apologize. Why would I apologize? It’s his fault

I booked a grab para makauwi and buti na lang after 10 minutes nakarating na sa bar para masundo ako. I just texted my friends na umuwi na ako.
