Kairi woke up the next morning and saw Kenji's arms around her body; she smiled and turned to see the Pinoy Samurai still asleep. The security blanket she thought about helped her get over her fear of thunder as Kenji was by her side last night. She turned around to face his sleeping face.

She smiled and brushed his hair with her hand and caressed his cheek with her other hand. She then kissed his nose to wake him up. Kenji smiled and slowly woke up to see Kairi's cute smile greeting him.

Kenji: good morning to you too

Kairi continued to playfully mess with him which made Kenji to retaliate by tickling her on her hips. 

They got up and the Pinoy Samurai cooked breakfast for the two of them. What Kairi doesn't know is that Kenji developed feelings for the Pirate Princess ever since they met. He wanted to confess his feelings to her, and today was the best day to do it since it's the weekend and it's their day off.

As they ate, they started a conversation.

Kenji: uh Kairi, since it's our day off, do you have any plans today?

Kairi: I don't think I do; why you ask?

Kenji: is it okay for you that we spend the day together since it's our day off?

Kairi: are you asking me on a date?

She teased him while her face turned red. Then Kenji bravely replied.

Kenji: yes

Kairi: it's a date then

Kenji: arigato gozaimasu

Kairi giggled at Kenji's silliness and the two shared a laugh.

Kairi: come on you cute silly Samurai, let's wash up and go out

(4 hours later)

Kenji was in his room getting ready for his date with Kairi. He was a bit nervous, but he got some encouragement from Kushida.

Kushida: relax man

Kenji: how can I relax man? I'm going on a date with a very cute girl

Kushida: you got a point there Kenji; Kairi's cuteness is irresistible

Kenji: I want this date to be perfect

Kushida: it will be; just sit down and take a deep breath

The Samurai did what he was told, and it helped calmed him down.

Kenji: okay, I'm relaxed

Kushida: this is your first date with Kairi, just enjoy and have fun

Kenji: Kairi is always fun to be with

Kenji put the finishing touches on his look.

Kenji: how do I look?

Kushida: you look good, man

Kenji: alright I'm ready

Kushida: just relax and have fun

Kenji nodded and left the room.

The Pirate Princess got help picking out of what she is gonna wear for her date from Io.

Io: wear something that makes you comfortable

Kairi: cute and comfortable

The two looked through Kairi's wardrobe to find a nice dress.

After some time, Io found an off shoulder long red dress.

Io: how about this?

Kairi: oh perfect

She took the red dress and changed in the bathroom. Then a minute later she came out in the red dress.

Io: aww kawaii!

Kairi: thank you

Io: now you go have fun with Kenji, but not too much fun

Kairi blushed heavily and playfully hit Io on the shoulder. Then they heard a knock on the door.

Io: that must be him

Kairi opened the door to see Kenji all dressed up and groomed.

Kenji: hi Kairi

Kairi: hi Kenji

Kenji was in a trance as he saw Kairi in her red dress.

Kenji: wow, you look really cute and beautiful

Kairi blushed.

Kairi: thank you, you look good yourself as well

Kenji: are you ready to go?

Kairi: yes

Kenji: let's go

Io: have fun you two

The Pinoy Samurai and the Pirate Princess left the hotel and went into their car.

Kairi: so where are you taking me?

Kenji: let's go eat first?

Kairi: okay!

They drove around the city to find a good place to satisfy their stomach. Without hesitation, Kairi hugged his right arm and laid her head on his shoulder.

Kenji: here, let me make you comfortable

He wrapped his arm around Kairi and gently pulled her in, so she can lay her head on his shoulder. Kairi snuggled in and smiled.

After a long drive, they found a good restaurant that's not too fancy, but it's a place where everyone hangs out.

Kairi: this is a good place

Kenji: not too expensive

Kairi: come on, I'm hungry

Kenji: aye aye captain

They went in and saw that there's a booth for two people. They sat down and looked through the menu to see what they wanted.

Kairi picked what she wanted, but Kenji took his time to see. After a while Kenji finally found what's appetizing for him. As he put the menu down, he saw Kairi looking at him with a cute face with her hands on her cheeks.

Kenji: what are you looking at?

He smirked.

Kairi: you because you're so sweet to me

Kenji: because you deserve it

The Pirate Princess smiled and her eyes began to sparkle. They smiled at each other and Kenji placed his hand on top of hers.

They didn't need to wait too long as their food came.

After they ate, the Samurai paid for their check and the two left the restaurant hand in hand.

Kairi: where to next?

Kenji: this one will be wonderful

They got into the car and drove off. 

Kairi saw Kenji's hand on the car shift, and without hesitation she held his hand. Kenji smiled and the two interlocked their fingers together. She laid her head on his shoulder and Kenji gave her a kiss on top of her head.

After a good 15 minute drive, Kairi noticed that Kenji is driving out of the city and going towards the mountains.

Kairi: where are we going, Kenji?

Kenji: trust me, you'll love this part

Kenji drove his car to the tallest peak of the range. Then he parked the car.

Kenji: come on

Kairi nodded and the two went out of the car.

Kenji: take my hand

Kairi held his hand and the two interlocked their fingers. They walked towards a fenced cliff to see a good view of the sunset over the horizon.

Kairi: this is beautiful

Kenji: not as beautiful as you

She turned to face Kenji with a blushing face.

Kenji: Kairi, ever since I met you for the first time, I developed feelings for you...

Kairi blushed heavily as she listened to Kenji confessing his feelings to her.

Kenji: ...your cuteness is so contagious and irresistible that it really puts smiles on people's faces...

He then grabbed her hand.

Kenji: I really like you Kairi

The Pirate Princess couldn't help but blush heavily as she heard Kenji's heartfelt confession.

Kenji: Kairi, will you be my girlfriend?

Tears began to fell from her eyes.

Kairi: Kenji, I really like you too and yes I will be your girlfriend

The two smiled at each other and hugged. Then they stared at each other in their eyes. Kenji put his hands on Kairi's cheeks. Their faces were inches closer before they connected their lips for a loving kiss.

Kairi kissed him back when she wrapped her arms around his neck. After a minute, they pulled back with smiles on their faces. They enjoyed the mountainside view before going back to their car and driving back to the city. They are officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
