(One week later)

Following the chaos from last week, General Manager William Regal has put together a huge six man tag team match for the main event as Kenji teams up with Kushida and Kyle O'Reilly to take on Karrion Kross, Pete Dunne and Adam Cole.

With Takeover in less than a week, the stakes got even greater.

While in his locker room, Kenji's mind has been processing something, it's an unclear vision, but overall it was nothing but a good thing. As his thoughts run wild, his friend Kushida came in.

Kushida: Kenji. Hey Kenji!

Kenji: hmm?

Kushida: you seem deep in thought, are you worried about your match?

Kenji: no, the match is nothing compared to what I was really thinking

Kushida: well what is it?

Kenji: it's about Kairi

Kushida: what about Kairi-san?

Kenji: man, I love her so much, and she's the reason why I'm always smiling

Kushida: I can see that

Kenji: Kushida, I think I'm ready to get down on one knee and propose to Kairi

Kushida: oh man, go for it! You two are perfect together

Kenji: Kairi as my wife

He smiled at the thought of it as marriage is on his mind.

Kushida: you got my support man, and will I be your best man?

Kenji: of course man

The two friends smiled and fist bumped each other.

(Meanwhile)

Kairi was in her locker room humming a happy tune to herself. The Pirate Princess was also thinking the same thought of her future with Kenji.

Kairi looked down at her left ring finger and visualized while she smiled. Then Io came in and saw her best friend.

Io: kon'nichiwa Kairi-san

Kairi: oh, Io-chan

Io: what is with the kawaii smile and the happy tune?

The Genius of the Sky smirked as she teased her.

Kairi: well Io-chan, something has been running through my mind for the past two weeks

Io: hmm? Nani? What is it?

Kairi: you may see that I was staring down at my left ring finger

Io began to put two and two together and the pieces together as she already knew what the Pirate Princess meant. Io's eyes widen as she jumps in excitement.

Io: you're thinking about marrying Kenji-kun?!

Kairi blushed heavily and nodded.

Kairi: hai!

The Pirate Princess as she hid her face in Io's shoulder.

Io: aww you two should get married, you're literally perfect for each other

Kairi nodded and smiled.

Kairi: hai, I want to spend the rest of my life with him

Io: aww, you two

Kairi: my prince, my love

Io: can I be your maid of honor?

Kairi giggled and nodded.

Kairi: hai, you can

Io: and I am pretty sure Kushida-kun will be Kenji-kun's best man

The two best friends shared a laugh.

Io: so, are you in action tonight?

Kairi: hai, I'm going against Indi Hartwell

Io: I don't understand their group name, what is it? The Way?

Kairi: I think they meant they'll do whatever they can to get things their way

Io shook her head in annoyance.

Io: and oh, your future husband is also in action tonight

Kairi blushed heavily as she playfully slapped Io's arm. What surprised Io and Kairi is that Kyle is fighting side by side with Kenji and Kushida, but they knew that he only wants Adam.

(A few minutes later)

NXT went live and the show opened with Kairi going one on one against The Way's Indi Hartwell with Candice LeRae at ringside.

The NXT Women's Champion locked up with the rising NXT Superstar as the bell rang. Kairi must have eyes on the back of her head in case Candice tries anything to interfere.

The Pirate Princess grounded Indi with a couple of forearms followed by a tornado DDT for an early cover, but Hartwell kicked out at 2.

Kairi picked her up and kicked her in the gut, followed by her signature axe kick to the back of Indi's head.

Kairi took the chance to climb up to the top turnbuckle to end things early for the Insane Elbow, but Candice dragged Hartwell out to regroup and catch her breath. The Pirate Princess saw another opportunity to ground The Way members with an Insane Elbow, neutralizing Candice for the time being as she locks her focus on Indi as the champion rolls her back in the ring.

(End of match)

Kairi grounded Indi with a huge spear as yells out her battle cry. She climbed up to the top turnbuckle and nails the Insane Elbow for the pinfall victory while sending a message to her challenger and best friend, Io Shirai.

Kairi's celebration was cut short as Candice came in and attacked the champion. Indi got up and joined in on the brawl, but the numbers were even as Io ran down the ring and fought off The Way.

The Sky Pirates cleaned house as they sent Candice and Indi packing by hitting stereo dropkicks on them.

Then Kairi turned and faced Io as they saw the NXT Women's Championship on laying on the ring. Io picked up the title and looked at it for a few seconds before giving it to Kairi. The Pirate Princess took her title and raised it high while the crowd cheered. The two stared down at each other as the show went to commercial.

(An hour later)

After a hilarious segment between Cameron Grimes, who had transformed into a millionaire type character after he invested in Dogecoin and the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, it was time for the six man tag team match.

The Bruiserweight Pete Dunne made his entrance with his usual serious face expression. Then the Undisputed Era turncoat Adam Cole made his entrance full of cockiness and arrogance.

Then the screen turned black and white as the Herald of Doomsday made his entrance with Scarlett accompanying him.

After a few seconds of silence, the opposition came as Kyle made his entrance first; he walked down the ramp and did his signature air guitar entrance before staring down at his enemy, Adam Cole.

Then the NXT North American Champion Kushida made his entrance and stood side by side with one of his challengers as the Time Splitter stared down at Dunne and Cole.

Then the Filipino Samurai made his way to the stage, but did not do his signature entrance as he stared down at Kross who was crossing his arms while he stares daggers.

Kenji, Kushida and Kyle nodded at each other as they ran into the ring and started the main event with a chaotic brawl.

Order was restored as Kross, Dunne and Cole got out of the ring to regroup.

Then the match started and the bell ring as Kushida locked up with Cole.

The Time Splitter used his speed and swiftness to ground and put Cole on the defense, making him stumble to the corner. Cole tagged Dunne in and the Bruiserweight stepped up to the North American Champion.

(Minutes later)

Dunne grounded Kushida as he used joint manipulation to painfully bend Kushida's fingers while the North American Champion screams in agony and pain.

However, Kushida managed to fight through the pain and got out of the grip by landing a couple of forearms to Dunne before grounding him with a dropkick. Then the Time Splitter crawled and tagged in Kyle.

Before Pete can tag in his partners, Kyle took down Dunne with a German suplex and then stood up to smirk at Cole.

(Minutes later)

While Dunne and Kenji were the legal men for the team, Kross had an evil grin on his face as he saw Kushida resting against the barricade. The Herald of Doomsday grabbed Kushida and landed some forearms before throwing him over the announcers' table while Scarlett was laughing and admiring her man and the sight.

Back in the ring, Dunne attempted to hit the Bitter End, but Kenji got out of it and hits a superkick on the Bruiserweight, creating some separation. Kenji crawled to tag in Kyle while Dunne tagged in Cole. Meanwhile, Kross was lying and waiting for the perfect opportunity as he watches the former UE brothers fight.

O'Reilly and Cole traded punches and avoided each other's kicks.

Kross took the opportunity tag himself in while Kyle was too focused on Adam. The Herald of Doomsday came in and nailed Kyle at the back of the head with a right forearm shot.

Kross went for the pinfall while Kenji tried to help, but he was held down by Dunne; the NXT Champion tried to fight Dunne off, but it was too late as the bell rang.

Kenji fought off Dunne and stared down at Kross as he stood over Kyle.

The show ended with Kross raising his arms in victory while Kenji went to see Kushida if he's okay. Kross has successfully sent a message to Kenji.
