(Time skip)

The next NXT Takeover is under three weeks and Triple H has confirmed the venue to be at Brooklyn. The match card for the show is already piling up with one of the matches featuring the debut of NXT's newest signee, the longest reigning Evolve Champion, Timothy Thatcher.

The North American title, Tag Team title and Women's title matches were all certified and ready as the card is presented:

Timothy Thatcher vs. Cameron Grimes - Singles match (Thatcher's debut match)

#DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) - Tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship

Kushida (c) vs. Roderick Strong vs. Pete Dunne - Triple threat match for the NXT North American Championship

Kairi Sane (c) vs. Tegan Nox - Singles match for the NXT Women's Championship

Kenji Cruz (c) vs. Adam Cole vs. Finn Balor vs. Matt Riddle vs. Keith Lee vs. ??? - Ladder match for the NXT Championship

With the show almost coming, the thing that perplexes Kenji the most is the mysterious sixth participant in the ladder match for the NXT title. Kenji was given the night off, but he was allowed to stay and analyze his opponents while he tries to guess who is the sixth man. The NXT Champion was invited to sit at the commentary table for a front row seat.

Another segment is the contract signing for the NXT Women's Championship with Kairi and Tegan.

In the locker room, Kenji and Kairi were making out while the Pirate Princess rubs her body on him. Then the couple pulled back.

Kenji: are you ready for your contract signing, Captain?

Kairi: hai, I am ready, and I will defend my championship against one of my close friends

Kenji: you and Tegan will put on an instant classic

Kairi smiled and gave Kenji a kiss on his cheeks and lips.

Kairi: and you will have a great ladder match

The show started with a video package showing the UE's Fish and O'Reilly proclaiming themselves as the best tag team in NXT today, and they will resurrect the UE's golden prophecy by reclaiming the NXT Tag Team titles at Takeover.

The first match for the night was a women's tag team match as Io and Dakota teamed up against Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

As the tag team match was ongoing, Kairi had a mischievous idea as she locked Kenji's locker room door.

Kenji: what are you planning, captain?

Kairi giggled mischievously as she sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. Then she leaned in and kissed his lips. 

The Samurai kissed her back while he caressed her thighs, making her moan in pleasure. Then Kairi went down to kiss his neck, making Kenji moan.

Then Kairi pulled back and playfully pinned his arms down.

Kairi: where is your treasure?

Kenji: t-treasure?

Kairi: your gold treasure?

Kenji: o-over there

He turned his head to the direction of his gym bag with his NXT title.

Kairi: thank you

The Pirate Princess giggled as she went over and playfully looted his bag to capture his treasure, the NXT Championship.

Kairi: ooh, this is a nice piece of treasure for my collection

Kenji smirked and played along with Kairi's cute game.

Kenji: that's my treasure

Kairi giggled as she got her NXT Women's Championship and buckled it with Kenji's title and wore it like a scarf.

Kairi: you have no more treasure, I captured it; what are you gonna do?

Kenji: well correction Captain Sane, I do have one other treasure

Kairi: oh what is it?

Kenji smirked and got Kairi and carried her bridal style to the couch, making her giggle. Then he sat down and kissed her neck. Kairi closed her eyes in comfort as she let her boyfriend kissed her neck. Then he pulled back, leaving a very tiny mark on her neck.

Kairi: now I have another treasure, a well hidden one

She smiled and blushed. Then Kenji held his hand out.

Kenji: can I have my title back please?

Kairi unbuckled the two title belts and handed the NXT title back to her boyfriend. The couple cuddled and watched the tag team match. The match ended with a combo on Shafir as Kai hits the GTK followed by the Asai Moonsault from Shirai for the pinfall win.

Kairi: yay! They won!

Kenji: future potential challengers for your title down the road

Kairi: oh yes, I would love to have matches with them

The next segment was the contract signing between the champion Kairi Sane and the challenger Tegan Nox.

The entrances were made and the two friends nodded and shook hands as they have mutual respect for each other. The two sat across from each other.

William: alright ladies, the contract is here, so all you need to do is sign it and we can make the match official

Tegan took the mic and pen.

Tegan: Kairi, I want to say that you deserve winning that NXT Women's title, ending the reign of Baszler while I was recovering from my knee injuries. At Takeover, I will walk out as the new NXT Women's Champion, and it will be my comeback story

The Shiniest Wizard put pen to paper as she signed her signature on the contract. Then Kairi took the mic.

Kairi: Tegan-san, I congratulate you that you've recovered from your terrible injuries; I know how it feels to be sidelined for months, I have been there; you have inspired a lot of people to never give up. We will have a great match at Brooklyn, but I will still be NXT Women's Champion

The Pirate Princess signed her signature and the match was now official for Takeover: Brooklyn. Then the two women stood up and shook hands while Kairi raised her championship title.

(Later)

It was now time for the main event, a one on one between two friends, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle while Kenji was sitting in for commentary.

The Limitless One and the Original Bro made their entrances while the two stared down at the Samurai. The bell rang and the two locked up.

Kenji nodded as he paid close attention and analyzed his opponents' strengths; he knows Keith has his power combined with his agility and Matt has his technical and MMA background.

(Minutes later)

Keith pounced Matt out of the ring, and the Limitless pursued him. As Lee got Riddle, he stared down and smirked at Kenji before turning his attention to the match.

(Fast forward towards the end)

After Matt hits a high knee, the impact barely fazed Keith, and the Limitless One fired back with a Spirit Bomb, but as Lee went for the pin, the match ended as Adam Cole attacked both men, causing the match to end in disqualification.

Cole superkicked both Lee and Riddle, and then taunted Kenji at ringside proclaiming he will win the ladder match and get back his NXT title.

As Cole taunted Kenji, the UE leader was ambushed by a dropkick from behind from Finn. Then Balor took down Cole with a slingblade followed by a 1916.

Kenji slid in and then trade shots with Balor in the middle of the ring before the brawl escalated when Keith and Matt went back in and joined the fight.

Cole recovered and joined in the brawl while on the screen, it shows a countdown clock with the remaining time, which is the time before Takeover. Then an ominous message showed.

Doomsday is coming...

The show ended with the five men for the NXT title ladder match brawling in the ring as the countdown to Brooklyn has already begun.
