With Takeover one week from Sunday, Kairi and Kenji decided to continue with their celebration until the Pirate Princess got a message from her best friend Io.

Kairi: Io says she's inviting us to the beach, and she's bringing a special friend along

Kenji: special friend? I'm curious

Kairi: me too

Kenji: we should get ready then

Kairi: it's too early, I want to stay in bed with you some more

Kenji: what do you want to do then, Kairi-san?

Kairi smiled and got on top of Kenji and straddled him. She then brought her face close while the cute smile was still on her face.

Kairi: I want to do this

She dove her lips down for a hot and passionate kiss. It got even hotter when Kairi went down to his neck while she felt Kenji's hand going down to her bottom. She giggled and let his hand go down there. Kenji gave Kairi's bottom a gentle squeeze and the Pirate Princess pulled back as she laughed.

Kairi: Kenji-kun, that tickles!

She squirmed around in his arms, but the Samurai kept his grip on Kairi. After a minute, Kenji let go and Kairi catch her breath after all the laughing.

Kenji: so what time do we have to meet Io and her special friend?

Kairi: she said around lunch time, so that's plenty of time for us

Kenji: alright, I'll go make breakfast

Kairi got on his back and wrapped her arms and legs around him. The Samurai carried her to the kitchen and set her down on the table. The Pirate Princess watched her man cook while she had a cute and dreamy smile on her face. She dreamed of one day of him holding the NXT Championship while she is holding the NXT Women's Championship, solidifying themselves as NXT's top couple.

Her daydream abruptly ended as Kenji waved his hand in front of her face.

Kenji: food is ready

Kairi: okay

Kenji: what were you smiling about?

He chuckled and smirked.

Kairi: oh, I'm just dreaming that you and I are at the top of NXT with our titles

Kenji put his hands on her cheeks and touched his forehead with hers.

Kenji: that dream will come true; I'll end Adam Cole's prophecy

Kairi: and I'll end Shayna's bullying and long reign

Kenji: and NXT will be better than ever

The two shared a kiss and then they went to eat their breakfast. After that, Kairi took the shower first while Kenji went on his phone. He saw that NXT GM William Regal has organized a six man tag team match for next week as Kushida teams with #DIY to take on the Undisputed Era with Kenji and Adam at ringside.

A few minutes later, Kairi was done showering as she came out with a towel wrapped around her body.

Kairi: Kenji-kun, you can take a shower now

Kenji: okay

The Samurai walked to the bathroom, but he couldn't stop staring at his beautiful girlfriend. Kairi smirked and teased him by playing on the part where the towel is wrapped.

Kairi: don't hurt yourself, baby

Kenji: ...

He walked backwards before he bumped into a wall, which made her laugh. Kenji found the door knob and he got in and shut the door. Kairi giggled at his expense.

(5 minutes later)

Kenji was done and he came out of the bathroom. Kairi was already wearing her beach dress as she saw Kenji's toned six pack; she blushed and bit her lower lip while she fanned herself.

Kenji: I guess the sun is not the one that makes you sweat

As he walked by Kairi, the Pirate Princess ran her hand up and down his back, sending chills down Kenji's spine.

Kairi: but I can cool you off

She giggled.

Kenji chuckled and went into the bedroom to change into his beach wear. Kairi received a message from Io saying that they'll meet at the beach. The Pirate Princess replied saying okay and they'll see each other soon.

After a few minutes, Kenji came out wearing his beach shorts and a white tank top.

Kenji: you look cute and beautiful in your beach dress

Kairi: you like it?

She did a little spin.

Kenji: it really brings out your cuteness

Kairi blushed and ran her hands up Kenji's biceps.

Kairi: and what you're wearing brings out your strength

Kenji smirked and kissed her forehead.

Kenji: so are you ready?

Kairi: yeah, and Io said she'll meet us at the beach.

Kenji: okay

The couple left their hotel room and went to their car. As they drove, they talked about the possibilities of Io's friend.

Kenji: so who do you think Io's special friend will be?

Kairi: maybe it's someone she hasn't seen in a long time; I know Io, maybe it's someone from Stardom

Kenji: someone from Stardom? Mayu-san?

Kairi: that's a possibility since we're all members of Queen's Quest

Kenji: or maybe it's a visiting relative?

Kairi: that's a good guess, but I think my next guess tops it all

Kenji: what?

Kairi: Io-san may have a boyfriend

Kenji: don't jump to conclusions babe, but we'll know once we get to the beach

Kairi: yeah

Kairi laid her head on Kenji's shoulder as they continued their way to the beach.

(30 minutes later)

Kenji and Kairi arrived at the beach and they saw another car parked.

Kairi: this is Io's car

Kenji: she's here already

The couple walked around to find a lone umbrella with two people. Kairi instantly recognized one of them as Io.

Kairi: Io-san!

The Genius of the Sky saw her best friend.

Io: Kairi-san

The two friends hugged.

Io: ooh, you brought your boyfriend along too

Kairi: so Io-san, who is this special friend you told us about because Kenji and I were guessing

Io: okay, let me hear your guesses first

Kairi: first, we think it's someone you haven't seen in a long time, maybe someone like Mayu-san

Kenji: our second guess is maybe a family member came to visit you

Io giggled.

Io: all great guesses, but you're both wrong

Kairi: so tell us who

Io: alright, come

The three walked to the umbrella.

Io: guys, my special friend is really special to me because he has my heart

Kenji's eyes widened while Kairi got a big smile on her face.

Kairi: you have a boyfriend?!

Io nodded and smiled.

Io: babe, I got some friends who want to meet you

Io's boyfriend stood up and greeted Kairi and Kenji with a welcoming smile.

Io: Kairi-san, Kenji-kun; this is my boyfriend and one of NXT's rising stars, Vasil Rivera

Vasil: nice to meet you both, Io told me all about you two

The Vulture shook hands with Kairi and Kenji.

Kairi: Io-san, important question; since when?

Vasil: since your best friend kept teasing and playing with me

Io giggled and blushed.

Io: so are you guys ready for a swim?

Kairi: yeah!

Kenji: you girls go ahead, I have to set up here

Vasil: you need some help?

Kenji: yeah thanks

The Sky Pirates ran to the ocean while Kenji set up the umbrella with some help from Vasil. The two talked.

Vasil: so did you handle Kairi's cuteness?

Kenji: yeah, but her teasing always throws me off guard

Vasil: how does she tease you, man?

Kenji: you know the usual flirting, but this happened twice

Vasil: what?

Kenji: she rubbed her body against me

Vasil couldn't hold his laugh.

Vasil: what?

Kenji: yeah

Vasil: well for Io, her way of teasing is torture for me

Kenji and Vasil shared a laugh and they instantly became fast friends as they talked about their careers before they debuted for NXT along with their goals on the black and gold brand.

Vasil: so you have a match for Cole's NXT title

Kenji: that's right

Vasil: well I'll be targeting the NXT North American title

Kenji: here's to our championship aspirations

The two raised their drinks for a toast. Then their girlfriends came in.

Kairi: you two getting along?

Kenji: we are and we're friends already

Io: aww, that makes us happy

Kairi and Io kissed their boyfriends while the two guys fist bumped and smirked.

The four friends spent the rest of the day eating, talking and swimming.

After 3 hours of fun time, it was sunset and the two couples were ready to go.

Vasil: it was nice talking with you, Kenji

Kenji: me too, and hey when I'm NXT Champion, I'll be ready for you

Vasil: we'll see

The two guys fist bumped.

Io: we're going now

Kairi: see you next week, Io-san

Kairi and Kenji waved goodbye to Vasil and Io; then they got into their car and drove back to the hotel.
