Chapter 3 ~The Dance~

~Levy's P.O.V~

"Mira, I don't think this dress looks good on me"I Said stepping out of Mira's bedroom wearing a hot pink backless dress.

"You are cute but that pink is not your color and that was the last one i have that we might have able to shorten so you could wear it, what about you Lis?" Mira said.

"I only have two that might fit a navy blue one and a crimson one but than again they may not fit her very well" She said poking her head out of the closet.

"Oh thanks guys but what would happen if that sea-witch stops me from going plus what I am going to wear?" I said.

"Well, Don't you still have your mothers Dresses????, Maybe one of those would work for the ball" Lu-Chan said.

"I don't see what it would hurt to go and look what I have up in the trunks that my father gave me as his Wedding gift to me and told me to never tell Faye" I said tying my headband in my hair.

"Well, let's go I saw Phyllis and Faye head to the town square for something so I bet they won't be back any time soon" Juvia said.

"Oh yeah they stopped by the Pub before we left saying something about going in to town for the ball tonight." I said as we walked down stairs.

"Then let's go before one or both of them returns" Lisanna Grinned.

"Do you think this will work?" I asked.

"Yes, now let's go find you a dress!" Lucy answered as she pushed me back in to Mira's Room.

"Okay we have to hurry while the sea-witches are out shopping for the Ball, I hope that there is something nice for me to wear tonight' I said as I hurried and changed out of the hot pink time bomb.

And within ten minutes we were running out of the Strauss's House and heading for mine.

~A Few Minutes Later~

"Hurry up for Phyllis and Faye will be home soon from the square" I said running up the stairs to the Attic.

"Levy, if we got the night off so we can go to the dance, Who's watching the Pub??" Juvia asked.

"Oh, Mest and Cana are with Jenny's help" I answered.

"Are you sure about Cana?" Mira asked.

"Yup, she lies best when she is drunk and when you promised her 3 months of drinks on the house if she behaves" I Grinned.

"Oh that she does" Mira giggled.

"You said it" Juvia and Lisanna laughed.

We laughed for a bit as we started looking in all of the trunks full with my mothers dresses.......

~Gajeel's P.O.V~

"Hey Gajeel are you going to get ready for the dance?" Pantherlily asked.

"Yeah, we could use some fun after being at sea for a few weeks" I said getting up and start heading for my cabin to change for the ball.

~Fifteen minutes later~

"Hey Captain can I come in?" Laxus asked.

"Yup, come on in" I replied.

"You ready?" he asked.

"Just about" I said brushing my hair back.

"so what's with that pub?" Laxus asked with great insert.

"it's a long story" I said.

"so shorten it" he said with a look in his eye.

"Our dads somehow knew each other and those were the days before my mom died then we went back for a funeral about 3 months after my mom and so we tied to keep in touch but about a year later my father told me to forget her and move on with our lives but something never felt right after that my father become more and more harder to live with so I rebelled and now I left I can hope is that he cares enough to let me go or he'll come after me "I said.

"That's True, your old man is scary mean" Laxus said.

"Yup, so are we ready to go?" I asked him.

"Yes Sir" he replied as he opened the door to the cabin.

"Yo, Men let's go or we're going to be late" I yelled running out of my cabin.

As they lined up so we could go to shore "Captain, we're all ready" They said.

"Perfect, let's head out" I said.

"Aye-Aye Sir" They cheered as we ran off the ship and into the town's dance hall.

"Hey Gajeel, do you think you will see her?" Laxus asked.

"I don't know" I said as we were halfway there.

~Levy's P.O.V~

"Okay here are the top three dresses that I like? and that I can wear without much rejecting" I asked as I laid out the dresses.

They look at the dresses that I just tried on and liked that laid out on the bed for them to look at.

"The orange one" They said in unison.

"Okay, give me a minute to change" I said grabbing the dress off the bed.

"you have five minutes to get ready" Mira said as i ran to get in the dress so i can have them adjusted before we leave for the evening.

and with all of us getting ready for the Ball tonight before Faye finds us and stops me from going I so hope that their not to to see me there.

~Five Minutes Later~

"I'm ready" I said walking out of in the dress that we agreed on.

"Wow, you look amazing Levy" Lu-chan exclaimed.

"Defiantly, my friend you look like a princess Levy" Mira agreed.

"Thanks Girls" I smiled shyly.

"Well then if us ladies are already for the Pirate Ball, let's go Girl's" Mira grinned.

"Yes, let's go then" Lisanna Said walking down stairs and to the carriage.

~Fifteen Minutes Later~

"Are we there yet" Juvia whined.

"Yup, here we go" Mira said as she started walking out of the carriage door and to the Dance Hall's Doors and....................................

~Gajeel's P.O.V~

"Hey Captain do you want anything ?" Gray aka" Ice Head" asked.

"No thanks Gray, I'm good for the moment" I replied.

"Wow, oi Gajeel look" Laxus said pointing to the door where......................

"MiraJane, Lisanna!!" Elfman shouted.

"Elf-nii" the one I think that is called Lisanna cheered as she picked up the front of her dress and ran up to him and jumped into a big hug.

"Hey there Elfman" the other one who I think is named MIraJane said walking up and got pulled into the hug.

I raised an eyebrow as I walked over to where they were finishing the hug.

"Um Elfman, Who are these lovely ladies?" I asked.

"Oh, Sorry Sir, these lovely ladies are my sisters Mirajane and Lisanna and Mira, Lis this is my captain , Black Steel Gajeel" he said proudly.

"It's nice to meet you two" I said.

"The pleasure is ours" Mirajane greeted.

and right then "Hey guys come and meet my family" Elfman yelled.

As everyone came over to where we were as he started to introduced his sisters to everybody and their friends also.

I started to look around and thought I saw an bluenette angel in a Orange dress standing behind everyone and before I knew what I was doing I had walk up to her and before I could stop myself "Hello there, would you care to dance?"

"Sure, but let's not tell each other our names please it's for both of our safety's " She said.

"Works for me" I said guiding us on to the dance floor and I agreed to her terms because i knew if my father found out then that's asking for trouble.

~Levy's P.O.V~

~Twenty Minutes Earlier~

"Are we ready for this?" Mira asked.

We all just nodded "Okay then here we go"she said while opening the Dance Hall doors.

we just walked through the doors when we heard "MIRAJANE, LISANNA" Someone yelled.

They looked around and saw "Elf-nii" Lisanna Cheered as she quickly picked up the front of her dress and ran up to Elfman and jump into a big hug.

"Hey there Elfman" Mira said walking up to them and get pulled into the hug.

that when I saw a Man with Black hair and crimson eyes walk up to them and asked a question and they started chatting with a few more people that Elfman called them over to where they were.

"Hey Girls come and join us" Mira said.

"you coming Lev?" Juvia asked.

"you guys go on ahead, I'll catch up" I said.

I felt a pull towards that man I had no idea way I started to head away to a corner to hide from them as I saw Phyllis and Faye walk in and onto the dance floor while pulling a couple of pirates that I don't like one bit with them.

And I caught him from the corner of my eye and I noticed that he had started walking up to me and I wanted to ran and hide but before I made up my mind

"Hello, would you care to dance?" he asked.

and at that moment I remembered that I am incognito tonight "Sure, but let's not tell each other our names please it's for both of our safety's" I asked.

"Works for Me" He said guiding us on to the dance floor.

"So Shrimp where are you from?" He asked.

"Shrimp?" I said while giving him a questioned look.

"Well I need to call you something and it fit" He said very sheepish.

"Oh well that makes sense.........Dragon" I said with a grin.

" Dragon, I like that" He smirked.

"I'm glad Dragon, So are you a Pirate?" I asked.

"Yes,yes I am" he said with a very proud tone.

"Nice, my dad was an Ex-Pirate I like you guys if you guys can behave when needed" I replied.

He just smiled at me "So what do you do?" He asked.

"Well that's a long and complicated story" I said.
