The Carnivore Princess and the Demonic Dragon

Hello, it's been a while.

Sorry, you all thought I was most likely dead and long gone.

Not the case.

I'm alive.

I'm sorry I left for so long but I was reading your messages and I felt awful for leaving for so long.

Long story short, I've come back to finish up this book once and for all.

I'm sorry I was gone for so long but I have...faded away from FT. It no longer interest me and I've found better things. Also, I'm a junior in high school, which is taking up plenty of my time.

Also, I'm trying to write my own, original book with my own characters.

FT will always be here with me. How could it not? It made me laugh and cry. Made me happy.

I am so very sorry I have left you all for so long but I SWEAR I will try my best to come back and finish this book.

I love you all.

Thank you,

The Carnivore Princess and the Demonic Dragon

Song; Hello by Evanescence

E.N.D's expression remained blank as he stared down at Lucy, wings beating against the wind, sending a cool draft down that flowed through her golden spun hair. The change within her was something shocking and all consuming. Her heart had grown black and decayed.

What had made her this way? What had taken all of her light and sniffed it out completely without hesitation? What could have made her forget about her love that was currently boiling with shock and heartbreak over her words?

How could she...throw it all away so easily?

All those memories? All that laughter? All those tender moments that they had shared that made them...happy in a time of crippling sorrow?

E.N.D was almost sick with all these thoughts and feelings that were not his own. He could feel it. A tightness in his chest that felt like claws tearing at his heart and withering soul. There was a name to this feeling. He knew. He knew it. Had heard it before. Had caused it before.

Heartbreak.

"What magic did you use?"

The demon wanted to know. Needed to know. Or perhaps he didn't. He didn't need to know but his lesser self did. Yearned to know. Maybe there was a cure. Some way to get his beloved Luce back before whatever was inside of her killed the last of who she was.

Hope.

Disgusting.

It was eating E.N.D up inside. That curiosity that unfurled within and consumed him until he could barely think of anything else besides this.

Magic. What kind of magic? Black magic? Who was the caster powerful enough? Who could possibly-Ah...E.N.D knew. He fixed his eyes towards the horizon as if he could see the caster watching with those dull eyes of her's.

Mavis. Founder of Fairy Tail.

Lucy touched the tip of her whip with her nails that were blood soaked, her lips tipped up in a sharp smile as she eyed the demon above her.

"Only the best things." She hummed, drawing her tongue along her bottom lip as she let out a hoarse giggle. Her mind was not her own. It had been taken over by Mavis' spell that to others was a curse but to Lucy was a gift. How delightful. How...delicious.

E.N.D hovered over this thing that had taken over Lucy's body with silent disdain. He was angry. Uncomfortable even to look at her. Her face was twisted and raw. Something ugly and deceitful. Wrong. Just like he was.

What to do? Kill her? The only thing that could understand him in all of this world? The one that had made him...peaceful with all the memories that had flittered into his own mind? His lesser self would never forgive him. Spend the rest of their long lives fighting tooth and claw. It would be exhausting.

They would both lose something special.

Something harsh wrapped around E.N.D's ankle and with a crack-The demon was snatched from the ash filled air and slammed into the ground with a thunderous roar! Dust rose up as E.N.D shook the grit out of his face and began to rise-his head whipped to the side, scales breaking off his face as Lucy's fist cracked into his cheek.

Her laughter rang in his ears as he stumbled back with a low snarl. Wrong. There wasn't a choice. He should have known there wasn't the second he had met her eyes. Looked deeply into them. There was no choice because there was no Lucy.

E.N.D had tried to be pleasant. Had tried to forgive and forget. But he knew Lucy wasn't coming back...Not until he was dead.

E.N.D could not die.

Not when he had just come alive.

There was much to do.

The demon snarled his outrage as he loosened up his muscles, curling his fingers outwards, his ink black claws clicking together, baring his teeth at Lucy who did the same as she smiled at him, whip cracking down beside her in challenge.

E.N.D could not fly.

That would be a disadvantage in this fight and both he and Lucy knew it. If he wanted to fly-her whip had to go. E.N.D glanced to the side and Lucy's eyes followed. He dashed forward, fire at his heels, taking a swipe at Lucy from the opposite side where he had faked a look. She made a frustrated noise while going in for a block that was too slow.

E.N.D's fist knocked into her arm with a horrendous crack that made Lucy wince as her feet slipped back on the ash covered earth. It was enough of a distraction for him to reach for her whip. He would cut off her hand to get it if he had to. Lucy wasn't going to have any of it as she quickly jerked her body to the side, slipping away, and behind the demon to slam her elbow into his spine.

The hit was stunning. It made E.N.D hiss in anger as he spun, bringing his arm up, claws at the ready to rip into that pretty face of the Princess'-Pain flared and E.N.D couldn't help but clench his jaw at the fire that suddenly made his nerves cry out. A large, serrated blade was hilt deep in one of his wings, tearing the fragile skin, and splitting the little bones found inside that gave him the power of flight.

The star sign of Scorpio.

E.N.D's wing instantly slumped as pain fired off again and again throughout his body. It made white flashes infect his eyes for several moments. Taking out the blade would only cause more agony and heavy damage that he could not afford at the moment. His eye twitched as he raised his head to Lucy who was twirling a golden blade in her hand with a blue symbol engraved on it.

The star sign of Gemini.

"Silly boy, you are nothing but an empty husk parading around in a meat suit." She cooed, gliding around the demon like a snake who had just found an injured mouse, "You are dead, E.N.D. You were dead and gone before you even stepped out of that book of yours."

Lucy shook her head, pink lips pouting, holding a fake sadness for E.N.D that did not reach her amused eyes. "You should have stayed in that book. Safe in the inked words and hidden behind the cover." E.N.D exhaled steam in his anger at her words. "You are nothing but an old, worn book on a dusty shelf."

E.N.D could feel his hatred beginning to rise the more she breathed her ugly words that were not true. Nothing but lies. The Great Demon Lord was not a useless, dusty book that lay forgotten on a rickety shelf. He would not be forgotten. Never again. This was his world. His right to rule and purge all that opposed him. This was all his!

It deserved to be his.

Lucy cracked her whip, hair falling into her face, lips splitting across her face, eyes burning like charred wood as she glared at the demon that would ultimately be left behind. The daggers along her waist glittered and flowed with magic, urging her on. "So," the carnivore hummed at the demon, "you want to try and best me? Hmm, try."

E.N.D shot forward with a roar that could make the angels cover their ears.

Lucy ran to meet him with laughter to make the demons crawl back into darkness.

A golden flash erupted across the battle field eaten by ash, fire, and blood from both sides of light and evil. It washed over everything as the keys along Lucy's belt glittered to life...

The Magic lives on even in the most ugliest of souls...

This chapter is for the ones who have stayed
